1 A plaintive song of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, the Benjaminite.	1 Lamentación de David. La que cantó al Señor a propósito de Cus, el benjaminita.
2 LORD my God, in you I take refuge; rescue me; save me from all who pursue me,	2 Señor, Dios mío, en ti me refugio: sálvame de todos los que me persiguen;
3 Lest they maul me like lions, tear me to pieces with none to save.	3 líbrame, para que nadie pueda atraparme como un león, que destroza sin remedio.
4 LORD my God, if I am at fault in this, if there is guilt on my hands,	4 Señor, Dios mío, si cometí alguna bajeza, o hay crímenes en mis manos;
5 If I have repaid my friend with evil-- I spared even those who hated me without cause--	5 si he pagado con traición a mi amigo o he despojado sin razón a mi adversario:
6 Then let my enemy pursue and overtake me, trample my life to the ground, and leave me dishonored in the dust.Selah	6 que el enemigo me persiga y me alcance, que aplaste mi vida contra el suelo y deje tendidas mis entrañas en el polvo.
7 Rise up, LORD, in your anger; rise against the fury of my foes. Wake to judge as you have decreed.	7 Levántate, Señor, lleno de indignación; álzate contra el furor de mis adversarios. Despierta para el juicio que has convocado:
8 Have the assembly of the peoples gather about you; sit on your throne high above them,	8 que una asamblea de pueblos te rodee, y presídelos tu, desde lo alto.
9 O LORD, judge of the nations. Grant me justice, LORD, for I am blameless, free of any guilt.	9 El Señor es el Juez de las naciones: júzgame, Señor, conforme a mi justicia y de acuerdo con mi integridad.
10 Bring the malice of the wicked to an end; uphold the innocent, O God of justice, who tries hearts and minds.	10 ¡Que se acabe la maldad de los impíos! Tú que sondeas las mentes y los corazones, tú que eres un Dios justo, apoya al inocente.
11 A shield before me is God who saves the honest heart.	11 Mi escudo es el Dios Altísimo, que salva a los rectos de corazón.
12 God is a just judge, who rebukes in anger every day.	12 Dios es un Juez justo y puede irritarse en cualquier momento.
13 If sinners do not repent, God sharpens his sword, strings and readies the bow,	13 Si no se convierten, afilará la espada, tenderá su arco y apuntará;
14 Prepares his deadly shafts, makes arrows blazing thunderbolts.	14 preparará sus armas mortíferas, dispondrá sus flechas incendiarias.
15 Sinners conceive iniquity; pregnant with mischief, they give birth to failure.	15 El malvado concibe la maldad, está grávido de malicia y da a luz la mentira.
16 They open a hole and dig it deep, but fall into the pit they have dug.	16 Cavó una fosa y la ahondó, pero él mismo cayó en la fosa que hizo:
17 Their mischief comes back upon themselves; their violence falls on their own heads.	17 su maldad se vuelve sobre su cabeza, su violencia recae sobre su cráneo.
18 I praise the justice of the LORD; I celebrate the name of the LORD Most High.	18 Daré gracias al Señor por su justicia y cantaré al nombre del Señor Altísimo.
