SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Salmo de Asaf. Falou o Senhor Deus e convocou toda a terra, desde o levante até o poente.	1 A psalm of Asaph. The LORD, the God of gods, has spoken and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
2 Do alto de Sião, ideal de beleza, Deus refulgiu:	2 From Zion God shines forth. perfect in beauty.
3 nosso Deus vem vindo e não se calará. Um fogo abrasador o precede; ao seu redor, furiosa tempestade.	3 Our God comes and will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes, storming fiercely round about.
4 Do alto ele convoca os céus e a terra para julgar seu povo:	4 God summons the heavens above and the earth to the judgment of his people:
5 Reuni os meus fiéis, que selaram comigo aliança pelo sacrifício.	5 "Gather my faithful ones before me, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
6 E os céus proclamam sua justiça, porque é o próprio Deus quem vai julgar.	6 The heavens proclaim divine justice, for God alone is the judge. Selah
7 Escutai, ó meu povo, que eu vou falar: Israel, vou testemunhar contra ti. Deus, o teu Deus, sou eu.	7 "Listen, my people, I will speak; Israel, I will testify against you; God, your God, am I.
8 Não te repreendo pelos teus sacrifícios, pois teus holocaustos estão sempre diante de mim.	8 Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you, nor for your holocausts, set before me daily.
9 Não preciso do novilho do teu estábulo, nem dos cabritos de teus apriscos,	9 I need no bullock from your house, no goats from your fold.
10 pois minhas são todas as feras das matas; há milhares de animais nos meus montes.	10 For every animal of the forest is mine, beasts by the thousands on my mountains.
11 Conheço todos os pássaros do céu, e tudo o que se move nos campos.	11 I know every bird of the heavens; the creatures of the field belong to me.
12 Se tivesse fome, não precisava dizer-te, porque minha é a terra e tudo o que ela contém.	12 Were I hungry, I would not tell you, for mine is the world and all that fills it.
13 Porventura preciso comer carne de touros, ou beber sangue de cabrito?...	13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
14 Oferece, antes, a Deus um sacrifício de louvor e cumpre teus votos para com o Altíssimo.	14 Offer praise as your sacrifice to God; fulfill your vows to the Most High.
15 Invoca-me nos dias de tribulação, e eu te livrarei e me darás glória.	15 Then call on me in time of distress; I will rescue you, and you shall honor me."
16 Ao pecador, porém, Deus diz: Por que recitas os meus mandamentos, e tens na boca as palavras da minha aliança?	16 But to the wicked God says: "Why do you recite my commandments and profess my covenant with your lips?
17 Tu que aborreces meus ensinamentos e rejeitas minhas palavras?	17 You hate discipline; you cast my words behind you!
18 Se vês um ladrão, te ajuntas a ele, e com adúlteros te associas.	18 When you see thieves, you befriend them; with adulterers you throw in your lot.
19 Dás plena licença à tua boca para o mal e tua língua trama fraudes.	19 You give your mouth free rein for evil; you harness your tongue to deceit.
20 Tu te assentas para falar contra teu irmão, cobres de calúnias o filho de tua própria mãe.	20 You sit maligning your own kin, slandering the child of your own mother.
21 Eis o que fazes, e eu hei de me calar? Pensas que eu sou igual a ti? Não, mas vou te repreender e te lançar em rosto os teus pecados.	21 When you do these things should I be silent? Or do you think that I am like you? I accuse you, I lay the charge before you.
22 Compreendei bem isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus: não suceda que eu vos arrebate e não haja quem vos salve.	22 "Understand this, you who forget God, lest I attack you with no one to rescue.
23 Honra-me quem oferece um sacrifício de louvor; ao que procede retamente, a este eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus.	23 Those who offer praise as a sacrifice honor me; to the obedient I will show the salvation of God."
