1 Thessalonians 5

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 About times and dates, brothers, there is no need to write to you	1 واما الازمنة والاوقات فلا حاجة لكم ايها الاخوة ان اكتب اليكم عنها.
2 for you are wel aware in any case that the Day of the Lord is going to come like a thief in the night.	2 لانكم انتم تعلمون بالتحقيق ان يوم الرب كلص في الليل هكذا يجيء.
3 It is when people are saying, 'How quiet and peaceful it is' that sudden destruction fal s on them, assuddenly as labour pains come on a pregnant woman; and there is no escape.	3 لانه حينما يقولون سلام وامان حينئذ يفاجئهم هلاك بغتة كالمخاض للحبلى فلا ينجون.
4 But you, brothers, do not live in the dark, that the Day should take you unawares like a thief.	4 واما انتم ايها الاخوة فلستم في ظلمة حتى يدرككم ذلك اليوم كلص.
5 No, you are al children of light and children of the day: we do not belong to the night or to darkness,	5 جميعكم ابناء نور. وابناء نهار. لسنا من ليل ولا ظلمة.
6 so we should not go on sleeping, as everyone else does, but stay wide awake and sober.	6 فلا ننم اذا كالباقين بل لنسهر ونصح.
7 Night is the time for sleepers to sleep and night the time for drunkards to be drunk,	7 لان الذين ينامون فبالليل ينامون والذين يسكرون فبالليل يسكرون.
8 but we belong to the day and we should be sober; let us put on faith and love for a breastplate, and thehope of salvation for a helmet.	8 واما نحن الذين من نهار فلنصح لابسين درع الايمان والمحبة وخوذة هي رجاء الخلاص.
9 God destined us not for his retribution, but to win salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,	9 لان الله لم يجعلنا للغضب بل لاقتناء الخلاص بربنا يسوع المسيح
10 who died for us so that, awake or asleep, we should stil live united to him.	10 الذي مات لاجلنا حتى اذا سهرنا او نمنا نحيا جميعا معه.
11 So give encouragement to each other, and keep strengthening one another, as you do already.	11 لذلك عزوا بعضكم بعضا وابنوا احدكم الآخر كما تفعلون ايضا
12 We appeal to you, my brothers, to be considerate to those who work so hard among you as yourleaders in the Lord and those who admonish you.	12 ثم نسألكم ايها الاخوة ان تعرفوا الذين يتعبون بينكم ويدبرونكم في الرب وينذرونكم
13 Have the greatest respect and affection for them because of their work. Be at peace amongyourselves.	13 وان تعتبروهم كثيرا جدا في المحبة من اجل عملهم. سالموا بعضكم بعضا.
14 We urge you, brothers, to admonish those who are undisciplined, encourage the apprehensive,support the weak and be patient with everyone.	14 ونطلب اليكم ايها الاخوة انذروا الذين بلا ترتيب. شجعوا صغار النفوس. اسندوا الضعفاء. تأنوا على الجميع.
15 Make sure that people do not try to repay evil for evil; always aim at what is best for each other and foreveryone.	15 انظروا ان لا يجازي احد احدا عن شر بشر بل كل حين اتبعوا الخير بعضكم لبعض وللجميع.
16 Always be joyful;	16 افرحوا كل حين.
17 pray constantly;	17 صلّوا بلا انقطاع.
18 and for al things give thanks; this is the wil of God for you in Christ Jesus.	18 اشكروا في كل شيء. لان هذه هي مشيئة الله في المسيح يسوع من جهتكم.
19 Do not stifle the Spirit	19 لا تطفئوا الروح.
20 or despise the gift of prophecy with contempt;	20 لا تحتقروا النبوات.
21 test everything and hold on to what is good	21 امتحنوا كل شيء. تمسكوا بالحسن.
22 and shun every form of evil.	22 امتنعوا عن كل شبه شر.
23 May the God of peace make you perfect and holy; and may your spirit, life and body be keptblameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.	23 واله السلام نفسه يقدسكم بالتمام ولتحفظ روحكم ونفسكم وجسدكم كاملة بلا لوم عند مجيء ربنا يسوع المسيح.
24 He who has cal ed you is trustworthy and wil carry it out.	24 امين هو الذي يدعوكم الذي سيفعل ايضا
25 Pray for us, my brothers.	25 ايها الاخوة صلّوا لاجلنا.
26 Greet al the brothers with a holy kiss.	26 سلموا على الاخوة جميعا بقبلة مقدسة.
27 My orders, in the Lord's name, are that this letter is to be read to al the brothers.	27 اناشدكم بالرب ان تقرأ هذه الرسالة على جميع الاخوة القديسين.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.2Th 1:1 Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the Church in Thessalonica which is in God our Father and the LordJesus Christ	28 نعمة ربنا يسوع المسيح معكم. آمين
