Romans 12

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 I urge you, then, brothers, remembering the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, dedicated and acceptable to God; that is the kind of worship for you, as sensible people.	1 Kérlek tehát benneteket, testvérek, Isten irgalmasságára, hogy adjátok testeteket élő, szent, Istennek tetsző áldozatul. Ez legyen a ti ésszerű istentiszteletetek.
2 Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world, but let the renewing of your mindstransform you, so that you may discern for yourselves what is the wil of God -- what is good and acceptable andmature.	2 Ne szabjátok magatokat e világhoz, hanem alakuljatok át értelmetek megújításával, hogy felismerjétek, mi az Isten akarata, mi a jó, neki kedves és tökéletes.
3 And through the grace that I have been given, I say this to every one of you: never pride yourself onbeing better than you real y are, but think of yourself dispassionately, recognising that God has given to eachone his measure of faith.	3 Azt mondom ugyanis mindegyikteknek a nekem adott kegyelemnél fogva, hogy senki se gondoljon magáról a kelleténél többet; hanem józanul gondolkodjék, mindenki a hit mértéke szerint, amelyet Isten juttatott neki.
4 Just as each of us has various parts in one body, and the parts do not al have the same function:	4 Amint ugyanis egy testben sok testrészünk van, s nem ugyanaz a rendeltetése minden testrésznek,
5 in the same way, al of us, though there are so many of us, make up one body in Christ, and asdifferent parts we are al joined to one another.	5 ugyanúgy vagyunk sokan egy test Krisztusban; egyenként pedig egymásnak tagjai.
6 Then since the gifts that we have differ according to the grace that was given to each of us: if it is agift of prophecy, we should prophesy as much as our faith tells us;	6 Különböző adományaink vannak a nekünk adott kegyelemnek megfelelően: ha prófétaság, akkor gyakoroljuk a hit mértéke szerint;
7 if it is a gift of practical service, let us devote ourselves to serving; if it is teaching, to teaching;	7 ha szolgálat, akkor fáradozzunk a szolgálatban; ha valaki tanít, tanítson;
8 if it is encouraging, to encouraging. When you give, you should give generously from the heart; if youare put in charge, you must be conscientious; if you do works of mercy, let it be because you enjoy doing them.	8 aki buzdít, buzdítson; aki adakozik, tegye egyszerűségben; aki elöljáró, buzgóságban, aki irgalmasságot gyakorol, vidámságban.
9 Let love be without any pretence. Avoid what is evil; stick to what is good.	9 A szeretet legyen tettetés nélkül! Utáljátok a rosszat, s ragaszkodjatok a jóhoz!
10 In brotherly love let your feelings of deep affection for one another come to expression and regardothers as more important than yourself.	10 Ami a testvéri szeretetet illeti, legyetek egymás iránt gyengédek, a tisztelet dolgában egymással versengők,
11 In the service of the Lord, work not halfheartedly but with conscientiousness and an eager spirit.	11 az igyekezetben nem lusták, lélekben buzgók: az Úrnak szolgáltok!
12 Be joyful in hope, persevere in hardship; keep praying regularly;	12 Legyetek örvendezők a reménységben, béketűrők a nyomorúságban, állhatatosak az imádságban,
13 share with any of God's holy people who are in need; look for opportunities to be hospitable.	13 támogassátok a szenteket szükségleteikben; gyakoroljátok a vendégszeretetet!
14 Bless your persecutors; never curse them, bless them.	14 Áldjátok azokat, akik üldöznek titeket; áldjátok, és ne átkozzátok!
15 Rejoice with others when they rejoice, and be sad with those in sorrow.	15 Örüljetek az örvendezőkkel, és sírjatok a sírókkal!
16 Give the same consideration to al others alike. Pay no regard to social standing, but meet humblepeople on their own terms. Do not congratulate yourself on your own wisdom.	16 Legyetek egyetértők egymás között, nem nagyravágyók, hanem együttérzők az alacsonyrendűekkel. Ne legyetek bölcsek a magatok szemében !
17 Never pay back evil with evil, but bear in mind the ideals that all regard with respect.	17 Ne fizessetek senkinek rosszal a rosszért! A jóra törekedjetek minden ember előtt! .
18 As much as possible, and to the utmost of your ability, be at peace with everyone.	18 Amennyiben rajtatok áll, lehetőség szerint éljetek békében minden emberrel!
19 Never try to get revenge: leave that, my dear friends, to the Retribution. As scripture says:Vengeance is mine -- I wil pay them back, the Lord promises.	19 Ne tegyetek a magatok ügyében igazságot, kedveseim, hanem adjatok helyet az isteni haragnak, mert meg van írva: »Enyém a bosszúállás, én majd megfizetek« – mondja az Úr.
20 And more: If your enemy is hungry, give him something to eat; if thirsty, something to drink. By this,you wil be heaping red-hot coals on his head.	20 Hanem, ha ellenséged éhezik, adj neki enni, ha szomjazik, adj neki inni! Mert ha ezt teszed, eleven parazsat gyűjtesz a fejére .
21 Do not be mastered by evil, but master evil with good.	21 Ne hagyd, hogy a rossz legyőzzön téged; te győzd le a rosszat jóval!
