Romans 12

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 I urge you, then, brothers, remembering the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, dedicated and acceptable to God; that is the kind of worship for you, as sensible people.	1 Angesichts des Erbarmens Gottes ermahne ich euch, meine Brüder, euch selbst als lebendiges und heiliges Opfer darzubringen, das Gott gefällt; das ist für euch der wahre und angemessene Gottesdienst.
2 Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world, but let the renewing of your mindstransform you, so that you may discern for yourselves what is the wil of God -- what is good and acceptable andmature.	2 Gleicht euch nicht dieser Welt an, sondern wandelt euch und erneuert euer Denken, damit ihr prüfen und erkennen könnt, was der Wille Gottes ist: was ihm gefällt, was gut und vollkommen ist.
3 And through the grace that I have been given, I say this to every one of you: never pride yourself onbeing better than you real y are, but think of yourself dispassionately, recognising that God has given to eachone his measure of faith.	3 Aufgrund der Gnade, die mir gegeben ist, sage ich einem jeden von euch: Strebt nicht über das hinaus, was euch zukommt, sondern strebt danach, besonnen zu sein, jeder nach dem Maß des Glaubens, das Gott ihm zugeteilt hat.
4 Just as each of us has various parts in one body, and the parts do not al have the same function:	4 Denn wie wir an dem einen Leib viele Glieder haben, aber nicht alle Glieder denselben Dienst leisten,
5 in the same way, al of us, though there are so many of us, make up one body in Christ, and asdifferent parts we are al joined to one another.	5 so sind wir, die vielen, ein Leib in Christus, als einzelne aber sind wir Glieder, die zueinander gehören.
6 Then since the gifts that we have differ according to the grace that was given to each of us: if it is agift of prophecy, we should prophesy as much as our faith tells us;	6 Wir haben unterschiedliche Gaben, je nach der uns verliehenen Gnade. Hat einer die Gabe prophetischer Rede, dann rede er in Übereinstimmung mit dem Glauben;
7 if it is a gift of practical service, let us devote ourselves to serving; if it is teaching, to teaching;	7 hat einer die Gabe des Dienens, dann diene er. Wer zum Lehren berufen ist, der lehre;
8 if it is encouraging, to encouraging. When you give, you should give generously from the heart; if youare put in charge, you must be conscientious; if you do works of mercy, let it be because you enjoy doing them.	8 wer zum Trösten und Ermahnen berufen ist, der tröste und ermahne. Wer gibt, gebe ohne Hintergedanken; wer Vorsteher ist, setze sich eifrig ein; wer Barmherzigkeit übt, der tue es freudig.
9 Let love be without any pretence. Avoid what is evil; stick to what is good.	9 Eure Liebe sei ohne Heuchelei. Verabscheut das Böse, haltet fest am Guten!
10 In brotherly love let your feelings of deep affection for one another come to expression and regardothers as more important than yourself.	10 Seid einander in brüderlicher Liebe zugetan, übertrefft euch in gegenseitiger Achtung!
11 In the service of the Lord, work not halfheartedly but with conscientiousness and an eager spirit.	11 Lasst nicht nach in eurem Eifer, lasst euch vom Geist entflammen und dient dem Herrn!
12 Be joyful in hope, persevere in hardship; keep praying regularly;	12 Seid fröhlich in der Hoffnung, geduldig in der Bedrängnis, beharrlich im Gebet!
13 share with any of God's holy people who are in need; look for opportunities to be hospitable.	13 Helft den Heiligen, wenn sie in Not sind; gewährt jederzeit Gastfreundschaft!
14 Bless your persecutors; never curse them, bless them.	14 Segnet eure Verfolger; segnet sie, verflucht sie nicht!
15 Rejoice with others when they rejoice, and be sad with those in sorrow.	15 Freut euch mit den Fröhlichen und weint mit den Weinenden!
16 Give the same consideration to al others alike. Pay no regard to social standing, but meet humblepeople on their own terms. Do not congratulate yourself on your own wisdom.	16 Seid untereinander eines Sinnes; strebt nicht hoch hinaus, sondern bleibt demütig! Haltet euch nicht selbst für weise!
17 Never pay back evil with evil, but bear in mind the ideals that all regard with respect.	17 Vergeltet niemand Böses mit Bösem! Seid allen Menschen gegenüber auf Gutes bedacht!
18 As much as possible, and to the utmost of your ability, be at peace with everyone.	18 Soweit es euch möglich ist, haltet mit allen Menschen Frieden!
19 Never try to get revenge: leave that, my dear friends, to the Retribution. As scripture says:Vengeance is mine -- I wil pay them back, the Lord promises.	19 Rächt euch nicht selber, liebe Brüder, sondern lasst Raum für den Zorn (Gottes); denn in der Schrift steht: Mein ist die Rache, ich werde vergelten, spricht der Herr.
20 And more: If your enemy is hungry, give him something to eat; if thirsty, something to drink. By this,you wil be heaping red-hot coals on his head.	20 Vielmehr: Wenn dein Feind Hunger hat, gib ihm zu essen, wenn er Durst hat, gib ihm zu trinken; tust du das, dann sammelst du glühende Kohlen auf sein Haupt.
21 Do not be mastered by evil, but master evil with good.	21 Lass dich nicht vom Bösen besiegen, sondern besiege das Böse durch das Gute!
