Romans 12

NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 I urge you, then, brothers, remembering the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, dedicated and acceptable to God; that is the kind of worship for you, as sensible people.	1 Тож благаю вас, брати, на милість Божу, віддати тіла ваші як жертву живу, святу, приємну Богові: богослужбу від вас розумну.
2 Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world, but let the renewing of your mindstransform you, so that you may discern for yourselves what is the wil of God -- what is good and acceptable andmature.	2 І не вподібнюйтеся до цього світу, але перемінюйтесь обновленням вашого розуму, щоб ви переконувалися, що то є воля Божа, що добре, що вгодне, що досконале.
3 And through the grace that I have been given, I say this to every one of you: never pride yourself onbeing better than you real y are, but think of yourself dispassionately, recognising that God has given to eachone his measure of faith.	3 Ласкою, яка мені дана, я кажу кожному з вас: не думати понад те, що треба думати, а думати скромно, мірою віри, як Бог наділив кожному.
4 Just as each of us has various parts in one body, and the parts do not al have the same function:	4 Бо як в одному тілі маємо багато членів і всі члени не виконують ту саму роботу,
5 in the same way, al of us, though there are so many of us, make up one body in Christ, and asdifferent parts we are al joined to one another.	5 отак і ми: численні — одне в Христі тіло, кожен один одному член.
6 Then since the gifts that we have differ according to the grace that was given to each of us: if it is agift of prophecy, we should prophesy as much as our faith tells us;	6 Маючи ж, згідно з даною нам благодаттю, різні дари: коли то дар пророцтва, виконуймо його мірою віри;
7 if it is a gift of practical service, let us devote ourselves to serving; if it is teaching, to teaching;	7 хто має дар служіння, нехай служить; хто навчання, нехай навчає;
8 if it is encouraging, to encouraging. When you give, you should give generously from the heart; if youare put in charge, you must be conscientious; if you do works of mercy, let it be because you enjoy doing them.	8 хто напоумлення, нехай напоумляє. Хто дає — у простоті; хто головує — дбайливо; хто милосердиться — то з радістю.
9 Let love be without any pretence. Avoid what is evil; stick to what is good.	9 Любов нехай буде нелицемірна; ненавидівши зло, приставайте до добра.
10 In brotherly love let your feelings of deep affection for one another come to expression and regardothers as more important than yourself.	10 Любіть один одного братньою любов’ю. Пошаною один одного випереджайте.
11 In the service of the Lord, work not halfheartedly but with conscientiousness and an eager spirit.	11 В ревності не будьте ліниві, духом горіть, Господеві служіть;
12 Be joyful in hope, persevere in hardship; keep praying regularly;	12 веселі в надії, в горі терпеливі, в молитві витривалі;
13 share with any of God's holy people who are in need; look for opportunities to be hospitable.	13 святих у потребах спомагайте і дбайте про гостинність.
14 Bless your persecutors; never curse them, bless them.	14 Благословляйте тих, що вас гонять; благословляйте, не проклинайте.
15 Rejoice with others when they rejoice, and be sad with those in sorrow.	15 Радуйтеся з тими, що радуються; плачте з тими, що плачуть.
16 Give the same consideration to al others alike. Pay no regard to social standing, but meet humblepeople on their own terms. Do not congratulate yourself on your own wisdom.	16 Між собою будьте одної думки, про високе не мудруйте, радше до покірного схиляйтеся; не будьте зарозумілі на себе.
17 Never pay back evil with evil, but bear in mind the ideals that all regard with respect.	17 Нікому злом за зло не віддавайте; дбайте перед усіма людьми про добро.
18 As much as possible, and to the utmost of your ability, be at peace with everyone.	18 Коли можливо, оскільки це від вас залежить, будьте з усіма людьми в мирі.
19 Never try to get revenge: leave that, my dear friends, to the Retribution. As scripture says:Vengeance is mine -- I wil pay them back, the Lord promises.	19 Самих себе не відомщайте, любі, а дайте місце гніву, написано бо: «Мені належить помста, я відплачу», — говорить Господь.
20 And more: If your enemy is hungry, give him something to eat; if thirsty, something to drink. By this,you wil be heaping red-hot coals on his head.	20 Але коли твій ворог голодує, нагодуй його; і коли має спрагу, напій його, бо, роблячи це, ти нагромаджуєш йому на голову розпалене вугілля.
21 Do not be mastered by evil, but master evil with good.	21 Не дозволь, щоб зло тебе перемогло, але перемагай зло добром.
