John 10

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'In al truth I tel you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold through the gate, but climbs in someother way, is a thief and a bandit.	1 »Bizony, bizony mondom nektek: Aki nem az ajtón megy be a juhok aklába, hanem máshol oson be, az tolvaj és rabló.
2 He who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the flock;	2 Aki pedig az ajtón megy be, az a juhok pásztora.
3 the gatekeeper lets him in, the sheep hear his voice, one by one he calls his own sheep and leadsthem out.	3 Ennek ajtót nyit a kapus, a juhok pedig hallgatnak a szavára. Juhait a nevükön szólítja, és kivezeti őket.
4 When he has brought out al those that are his, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep fol ow becausethey know his voice.	4 Miután valamennyi sajátját kiengedi, előttük megy, a juhok pedig követik őt, mert ismerik a hangját.
5 They wil never fol ow a stranger, but wil run away from him because they do not recognise the voiceof strangers.'	5 Idegen után pedig nem mennek, hanem elfutnak tőle, mert az idegennek a hangját nem ismerik.«
6 Jesus told them this parable but they failed to understand what he was saying to them.	6 Ezt a példabeszédet mondta nekik Jézus, de ők nem értették, mit mondott.
7 So Jesus spoke to them again: In all truth I tell you, I am the gate of the sheepfold.	7 Jézus ekkor ismét szólt: »Bizony, bizony mondom nektek: Én vagyok a juhok ajtaja.
8 Al who have come before me are thieves and bandits, but the sheep took no notice of them.	8 Mindnyájan, akik előttem jöttek, tolvajok és rablók, s a juhok nem is hallgattak rájuk.
9 I am the gate. Anyone who enters through me will be safe: such a one will go in and out and wil findpasture.	9 Én vagyok az ajtó: aki rajtam keresztül megy be, üdvözül, bejár és kijár, és legelőre talál.
10 The thief comes only to steal and kil and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have itto the full.	10 A tolvaj csak azért jön, hogy lopjon, öljön és pusztítson. Én azért jöttem, hogy életük legyen, és bőségben legyen.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep.	11 Én vagyok a jó pásztor. A jó pásztor életét adja a juhokért.
12 The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons thesheep as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and runs away, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep;	12 A béres azonban, aki nem pásztor, akinek a juhok nem tulajdonai, amikor látja, hogy jön a farkas, elhagyja a juhokat és elfut – a farkas pedig elragadja és szétszéleszti azokat –,
13 he runs away because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep.	13 mert béres, és nem törődik a juhokkal.
14 I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me,	14 Én vagyok a jó pásztor: ismerem enyéimet, és enyéim ismernek engem,
15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep.	15 amint engem ismer az Atya, és én is ismerem az Atyát; és én életemet adom a juhokért.
16 And there are other sheep I have that are not of this fold, and I must lead these too. They too willlisten to my voice, and there wil be only one flock, one shepherd.	16 Más juhaim is vannak, amelyek nem ebből az akolból valók. Azokat is vezetnem kell. Hallgatni fognak szavamra, és egy nyáj lesz, és egy pásztor.
17 The Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.	17 Azért szeret engem az Atya, mert odaadom az életemet, hogy ismét visszavegyem azt.
18 No one takes it from me; I lay it down of my own free wil , and as I have power to lay it down, so Ihave power to take it up again; and this is the command I have received from my Father.	18 Senki sem veszi el tőlem: én adom oda magamtól. Hatalmam van odaadni, és hatalmam van újra visszavenni. Ezt a parancsot kaptam Atyámtól.«
19 These words caused a fresh division among the Jews.	19 Ismét szakadás lett a zsidók között emiatt a beszéd miatt.
20 Many said, 'He is possessed, he is raving; why do you listen to him?'	20 Sokan közülük azt mondták ugyanis: »Ördöge van, és megháborodott! Minek hallgatjátok?«
21 Others said, 'These are not the words of a man possessed by a devil: could a devil open the eyes ofthe blind?'	21 Mások azt mondták: »Ezek nem egy ördöngösnek a szavai. Vajon az ördög megnyithatja-e a vakok szemeit?«
22 It was the time of the feast of Dedication in Jerusalem. It was winter,	22 Jeruzsálemben elérkezett a templomszentelés ünnepe. Tél volt.
23 and Jesus was in the Temple walking up and down in the Portico of Solomon.	23 Jézus a templomban járt, Salamon tornácában.
24 The Jews gathered round him and said, 'How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? Ifyou are the Christ, tel us openly.'	24 A zsidók körülvették őt, és azt mondták neki: »Meddig tartasz még bizonytalanságban minket? Ha te vagy a Krisztus, mondd meg nekünk nyíltan!«
25 Jesus replied: I have told you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father's name are mywitness;	25 Jézus azt felelte nekik: »Mondtam nektek, de nem hiszitek. Tanúskodnak rólam a tettek, amelyeket Atyám nevében művelek,
26 but you do not believe, because you are no sheep of mine.	26 de ti nem hisztek, mert nem vagytok az én juhaim közül valók.
27 The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me.	27 Az én juhaim hallgatnak szavamra; én ismerem őket, ők pedig követnek engem,
28 I give them eternal life; they will never be lost and no one wil ever steal them from my hand.	28 és én örök életet adok nekik. Nem vesznek el soha, és senki sem ragadja el őket a kezemből.
29 The Father, for what he has given me, is greater than anyone, and no one can steal anything fromthe Father's hand.	29 Amit Atyám nekem adott, az mindennél nagyobb, és senki sem ragadhatja ki az Atya kezéből.
30 The Father and I are one.	30 Én és az Atya egy vagyunk.«
31 The Jews fetched stones to stone him,	31 Erre a zsidók ismét köveket ragadtak, hogy megkövezzék.
32 so Jesus said to them, 'I have shown you many good works from my Father; for which of these areyou stoning me?'	32 Jézus azt mondta nekik: »Sok jótettet mutattam nektek az Atyától, azok közül melyik tettért köveztek meg?«
33 The Jews answered him, 'We are stoning you, not for doing a good work, but for blasphemy; thoughyou are only a man, you claim to be God.'	33 A zsidók azt felelték: »Jótettért nem kövezünk meg téged, hanem a káromlásért, mivel ember létedre Istenné teszed magadat.«
34 Jesus answered: Is it not written in your Law: I said, you are gods?	34 Jézus azt felelte nekik: »Vajon a ti törvényetekben nincs megírva: ‘Én azt mondtam: Ti istenek vagytok’?
35 So it uses the word 'gods' of those people to whom the word of God was addressed -- and scripturecannot be set aside.	35 Ha azokat mondta isteneknek, akikhez az Isten igéje szólt – márpedig az Írás érvényét nem veszti –,
36 Yet to someone whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world you say, 'You areblaspheming' because I said, 'I am Son of God.'	36 miképp mondhatjátok arról, akit az Atya megszentelt és a világra küldött: ‘Káromkodsz!’, mivel azt mondtam: Isten Fia vagyok?
37 If I am not doing my Father's work, there is no need to believe me;	37 Ha nem cselekszem Atyám tetteit, ne higgyetek nekem,
38 but if I am doing it, then even if you refuse to believe in me, at least believe in the work I do; then youwil know for certain that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.	38 de ha cselekszem, akkor, ha nekem nem is hisztek, higgyetek a tetteknek, hogy megtudjátok és belássátok, hogy az Atya énbennem van, és én az Atyában.«
39 They again wanted to arrest him then, but he eluded their clutches.	39 Erre ismét el akarták őt fogni, de kisiklott a kezük közül.
40 He went back again to the far side of the Jordan to the district where John had been baptising at firstand he stayed there.	40 Ezután ismét eltávozott a Jordánon túlra, arra a helyre, ahol János először keresztelt, és ott maradt.
41 Many people who came to him said, 'John gave no signs, but all he said about this man was true';	41 Sokan jöttek hozzá, és azt mondták: »János ugyan semmi csodajelet sem cselekedett, de mindaz, amit János róla mondott, igaz volt.«
42 and many of them believed in him.	42 És ott sokan hittek benne.
