Luke 22

1 The feast of Unleavened Bread, cal ed the Passover, was now drawing near,	1 Közeledett a kovásztalan kenyerek ünnepe, amelyet pászkának hívnak.

13 They set off and found everything as he had told them and prepared the Passover.	13 Elmentek tehát, és úgy találtak mindent, ahogy mondta nekik, és elkészítették a húsvéti vacsorát.

17 Then, taking a cup, he gave thanks and said, 'Take this and share it among you,	17 Azután fogta a kelyhet, hálát adott, és így szólt: »Vegyétek ezt, és osszátok el magatok között.
18 because from now on, I tel you, I shall never again drink wine until the kingdom of God comes.'	18 Mert mondom nektek: mostantól fogva nem iszom a szőlő terméséből, amíg el nem jön az Isten országa.«
19 Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This ismy body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.'	19 Aztán fogta a kenyeret, hálát adott, megtörte, és odaadta nekik ezekkel a szavakkal: »Ez az én testem, mely értetek adatik. Ezt tegyétek az én emlékezetemre!«
20 He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, 'This cup is the new covenant in my bloodpoured out for you.	20 Ugyanígy a vacsora végén fogta a kelyhet, és azt mondta: »Ez a kehely az új szövetség az én véremben, amely értetek kiontatik.
21 'But look, here with me on the table is the hand of the man who is betraying me.	21 De íme, az áruló keze az enyémmel együtt van az asztalon.

26 With you this must not happen. No; the greatest among you must behave as if he were the youngest,the leader as if he were the one who serves.	26 Ti azonban ne így tegyetek, hanem aki nagyobb köztetek, legyen olyan, mint a legkisebb, és aki elöljáró, legyen olyan, mint a szolga.
27 For who is the greater: the one at table or the one who serves? The one at table, surely? Yet here amI among you as one who serves!	27 Mert ki nagyobb: az, aki az asztalnál ül, vagy az, aki felszolgál? Nem az, aki az asztalnál ül? Én mégis úgy vagyok köztetek, mint aki szolgál.
28 'You are the men who have stood by me faithful y in my trials;	28 Ti kitartottatok velem megpróbáltatásaimban,
29 and now I confer a kingdom on you, just as my Father conferred one on me:	29 ezért nektek adom az országot, amint nekem adta Atyám,
30 you wil eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you wil sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribesof Israel.	30 hogy asztalomnál egyetek és igyatok országomban, és trónon ülve ítélkezzetek Izrael tizenkét törzse felett.
31 'Simon, Simon! Look, Satan has got his wish to sift you al like wheat;	31 Simon, Simon! A sátán kikért titeket, hogy megrostáljon, mint a búzát,

33 'Lord,' he answered, 'I would be ready to go to prison with you, and to death.'	33 Ő erre azt mondta neki: »Uram, kész vagyok veled a börtönbe és a halálba is menni!«
34 Jesus replied, 'I tell you, Peter, by the time the cock crows today you wil have denied three times thatyou know me.'	34 De Jézus azt felelte: »Mondom neked, Péter: mielőtt ma megszólal a kakas, háromszor is letagadod, hogy ismersz engem.«
35 He said to them, 'When I sent you out without purse or haversack or sandals, were you short ofanything?'	35 Aztán azt mondta nekik: »Amikor erszény, táska és saru nélkül küldtelek titeket, szenvedtetek-e valamiben hiányt?«
36 'No, nothing,' they said. He said to them, 'But now if you have a purse, take it, and the same with ahaversack; if you have no sword, sell your cloak and buy one,	36 Ők azt felelték: »Semmiben.« Majd így folytatta: »Most azonban akinek erszénye van, vigye magával, hasonlóképpen a táskát is; akinek pedig nincsen, adja el a felső ruháját, és vegyen kardot.
37 because I tell you these words of scripture are destined to be fulfil ed in me: He was counted as oneof the rebel ious. Yes, what it says about me is even now reaching its fulfilment.'	37 Mert mondom nektek: be kell teljesednie annak rajtam, ami írva van: ‘A gonosztevők közé számították’ . Mert ami rólam szól, az beteljesedik.«
38 They said, 'Lord, here are two swords.' He said to them, 'That is enough!'	38 Erre ők így szóltak: »Uram, íme, itt van két kard.« Ő pedig azt mondta nekik: »Elég!«
39 He then left to make his way as usual to the Mount of Olives, with the disciples fol owing.	39 Aztán elindult, és szokása szerint az Olajfák hegyére ment; követték őt a tanítványok is.
40 When he reached the place he said to them, 'Pray not to be put to the test.'	40 Amikor odaért, azt mondta nekik: »Imádkozzatok, hogy kísértésbe ne essetek!«
41 Then he withdrew from them, about a stone's throw away, and knelt down and prayed.	41 Majd mintegy kőhajításnyira eltávolodott tőlük, és térdre borulva így imádkozott:
42 'Father,' he said, 'if you are wil ing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done,not mine.'	42 »Atyám! Ha akarod, vedd el tőlem ezt a kelyhet, de ne az én akaratom teljesedjék, hanem a tiéd.«
43 Then an angel appeared to him, coming from heaven to give him strength.	43 Ekkor megjelent neki egy angyal az égből, és megerősítette. Aztán a halállal tusakodva még buzgóbban imádkozott.
44 In his anguish he prayed even more earnestly, and his sweat fell to the ground like great drops ofblood.	44 A verejtéke olyan lett, mint a földre hulló vér cseppjei.
45 When he rose from prayer he went to the disciples and found them sleeping for sheer grief.	45 Majd felkelt az imádságból, és odament a tanítványaihoz, de a szomorúságtól alva találta őket.
46 And he said to them, 'Why are you asleep? Get up and pray not to be put to the test.'	46 Azt mondta nekik: »Miért alszotok? Keljetek föl, imádkozzatok, hogy kísértésbe ne essetek!«
47 Suddenly, while he was still speaking, a number of men appeared, and at the head of them the mancal ed Judas, one of the Twelve, who went up to Jesus to kiss him.	47 Még beszélt, amikor egy sereg közeledett; Júdás vezette őket, egy a tizenkettő közül. Odament Jézushoz, hogy megcsókolja.
48 Jesus said, 'Judas, are you betraying the Son of man with a kiss?'	48 Jézus azonban azt mondta neki: »Júdás! Csókkal árulod el az Emberfiát?«

51 But at this Jesus said, 'That is enough.' And touching the man's ear he healed him.	51 De Jézus azt felelte: »Hagyjátok, elég!« Aztán megérintette a fülét, és meggyógyította.
52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and captains of the Temple guard and elders who had come forhim, 'Am I a bandit, that you had to set out with swords and clubs?	52 Akkor Jézus ezt mondta azoknak, akik ellene jöttek, a főpapoknak, a templomőrség tisztjeinek és a véneknek: »Mint rabló ellen, úgy jöttetek kardokkal és dorongokkal.
53 When I was among you in the Temple day after day you never made a move to lay hands on me. Butthis is your hour; this is the reign of darkness.'	53 Amikor nap mint nap köztetek voltam a templomban, nem emeltetek rám kezet, de ez a ti órátok, és a sötétség hatalmáé.«
54 They seized him then and led him away, and they took him to the high priest's house. Peter fol owedat a distance.	54 Megragadták tehát őt, és a főpap házába vitték. Péter pedig messziről követte.
55 They had lit a fire in the middle of the courtyard and Peter sat down among them,	55 Amikor tüzet raktak az udvar közepén és körbeülték, Péter is közéjük ült.
56 and as he was sitting there by the blaze a servant-girl saw him, peered at him, and said, 'This manwas with him too.'	56 Egy szolgáló meglátta, hogy ő is ott ül a tűznél, szemügyre vette, és azt mondta: »Ez is vele volt!«
57 But he denied it. 'Woman, I do not know him,' he said.	57 De ő tagadta: »Asszony, nem ismerem őt!«
58 Shortly afterwards someone else saw him and said, 'You are one of them too.' But Peter replied, 'I amnot, my friend.'	58 Nem sokkal ezután egy másik látta meg, és így szólt: »Te is közülük való vagy.« Péter azt felelte: »Ember! Nem vagyok!«
59 About an hour later another man insisted, saying, 'This fel ow was certainly with him. Why, he is aGalilean.'	59 Körülbelül egy óra múltán ismét erősítgette egy másik: »Bizony, ez is vele volt, hiszen galileai.«
60 Peter said, 'My friend, I do not know what you are talking about.' At that instant, while he was stilspeaking, the cock crowed,	60 Péter erre így szólt: »Ember! Nem tudom, mit beszélsz!« És azonnal, mikor még beszélt, megszólalt a kakas.
61 and the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the Lord's words when hehad said to him, 'Before the cock crows today, you will have disowned me three times.'	61 Akkor az Úr hátrafordult, és rátekintett Péterre. Péter pedig visszaemlékezett az Úr szavára, hogy azt mondta neki: »Mielőtt ma megszólal a kakas, háromszor is megtagadsz engem.«
62 And he went outside and wept bitterly.	62 Ekkor kiment, és keservesen sírni kezdett.
63 Meanwhile the men who guarded Jesus were mocking and beating him.	63 A férfiak pedig, akik őrizték, gúnyolták és verték őt.
64 They blindfolded him and questioned him, saying, 'Prophesy! Who hit you then?'	64 Letakarták az arcát, és azt kérdezték tőle: »Prófétálj! Ki ütött meg téged?«
65 And they heaped many other insults on him.	65 És egyéb szidalmakkal is illették.
66 When day broke there was a meeting of the elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes. Hewas brought before their council,	66 Mihelyt megvirradt, egybegyűltek a nép vénei, a főpapok meg az írástudók, és főtanácsuk elé vitték. Így szóltak: »Ha te vagy a Krisztus, mondd meg nekünk!«
67 and they said to him, 'If you are the Christ, tel us.' He replied, 'If I tel you, you wil not believe,	67 Ő azt felelte nekik: »Ha megmondom nektek, nem hiszitek el;
68 and if I question you, you will not answer.	68 ha pedig kérdezlek titeket, nem feleltek.
69 But from now on, the Son of man wil be seated at the right hand of the Power of God.'	69 De mostantól fogva az Emberfia a hatalmas Isten jobbján fog ülni« .
70 They all said, 'So you are the Son of God then?' He answered, 'It is you who say I am.'	70 Erre mindnyájan azt mondták: »Tehát te vagy az Isten Fia?« Jézus azt felelte nekik: »Ti mondjátok, hogy én vagyok.«
71 Then they said, 'Why do we need any evidence? We have heard it for ourselves from his own lips.'	71 Azok erre így szóltak: »Mi szükségünk van még tanúságtételre? Hiszen mi magunk hallottuk a saját szájából.«
