Mark 15

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 First thing in the morning, the chief priests, together with the elders and scribes and the rest of theSanhedrin, had their plan ready. They had Jesus bound and took him away and handed him over to Pilate.	1 - Di buon'ora, senza ritardo alcuno, i principi dei Sacerdoti con i seniori, gli Scribi e tutto il Sinedrio, fecero consiglio, e Gesù, legato e condotto via, fu consegnato a Pilato.
2 Pilate put to him this question, 'Are you the king of the Jews?' He replied, 'It is you who say it.'	2 Pilato lo interrogò: «Sei tu il re dei Giudei?». Gesù rispose: «Tu lo dici».
3 And the chief priests brought many accusations against him.	3 I principi dei Sacerdoti intanto lo accusavano di molte cose.
4 Pilate questioned him again, 'Have you no reply at al ? See how many accusations they are bringingagainst you!'	4 Pilato allora gli domandò di nuovo: «Non rispondi nulla? Guarda di quante cose ti accusano».
5 But, to Pilate's surprise, Jesus made no further reply.	5 Ma Gesù non rispose più nulla, tanto che Pilato se ne meravigliava.
6 At festival time Pilate used to release a prisoner for them, any one they asked for.	6 Ora per la festa di Pasqua egli liberava a loro un carcerato, qualunque chiedessero.
7 Now a man called Barabbas was then in prison with the rebels who had committed murder during theuprising.	7 C'era allora in prigione uno, chiamato Barabba, legato insieme a dei sediziosi, per aver in una sommossa commesso un omicidio.
8 When the crowd went up and began to ask Pilate the customary favour,	8 Il popolo, adunatosi, cominciò a domandare che egli facesse come sempre aveva lor fatto.
9 Pilate answered them, 'Do you want me to release for you the king of the Jews?'	9 E Pilato chiese loro: «Volete che vi dia libero il re dei Giudei?».
10 For he realised it was out of jealousy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over.	10 Poichè sapeva bene che i principi dei Sacerdoti glielo avevano consegnato per invidia.
11 The chief priests, however, had incited the crowd to demand that he should release Barabbas forthem instead.	11 I principi dei Sacerdoti però istigarono il popolo a chiedere piuttosto la liberazione di Barabba.
12 Then Pilate spoke again, 'But in that case, what am I to do with the man you call king of the Jews?'	12 E Pilato di nuovo domandò: «Che volete dunque ch'io faccia del re dei Giudei?».
13 They shouted back, 'Crucify him!'	13 Essi di nuovo gridarono: «Crocifiggilo».
14 Pilate asked them, 'What harm has he done?' But they shouted al the louder, 'Crucify him!'	14 E Pilato diceva loro: «Ma che male ha fatto?». E quelli gridavano più forte: «Crocifiggilo».
15 So Pilate, anxious to placate the crowd, released Barabbas for them and, after having Jesusscourged, he handed him over to be crucified.	15 Pilato, volendo soddisfare la moltitudine, liberò loro Barabba, e consegnò Gesù, dopo d'averlo fatto flagellare, per essere crocifisso.
16 The soldiers led him away to the inner part of the palace, that is, the Praetorium, and cal ed thewhole cohort together.	16 I soldati poi lo condussero nell'atrio del Pretorio, e vi convocarono tutta la coorte.
17 They dressed him up in purple, twisted some thorns into a crown and put it on him.	17 Lo vestirono di porpora e, intrecciata una corona di spine, gliela misero in capo,
18 And they began saluting him, 'Hail, king of the Jews!'	18 e cominciarono a salutarlo: «Salve, o re dei Giudei».
19 They struck his head with a reed and spat on him; and they went down on their knees to do himhomage.	19 E gli picchiavano la testa con una canna, gli sputavano addosso, e piegando il ginocchio, gli si prostravan davanti.
20 And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the purple and dressed him in his ownclothes. They led him out to crucify him.	20 Dopo averlo schernito, lo spogliarono della porpora, e gli rimisero le sue vesti. Condottolo fuori per crocifiggerlo,
21 They enlisted a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene, father of Alexander and Rufus, who was coming in fromthe country, to carry his cross.	21 costrinsero un certo Simone di Cirene, padre di Alessandro e di Rufo, che ritornava dalla campagna, a portare la croce di lui.
22 They brought Jesus to the place cal ed Golgotha, which means the place of the skul .	22 Lo condussero a un luogo, detto Golgota, che tradotto significa luogo del teschio.
23 They offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he refused it.	23 E gli offersero da bere vino mirrato; ma egli non ne bevve.
24 Then they crucified him, and shared out his clothing, casting lots to decide what each should get.	24 Poi lo crocifissero e si divisero le sue vesti, tirandole a sorte per sapere quel che ne toccherebbe a ciascuno.
25 It was the third hour when they crucified him.	25 Era l'ora terza, quando lo crocifissero.
26 The inscription giving the charge against him read, 'The King of the Jews'.	26 E l'iscrizione che indicava il titolo della condanna, diceva: «IL RE DEI GIUDEI».
27 And they crucified two bandits with him, one on his right and one on his left.	27 Con lui crocifissero due ladroni; uno alla sua destra e l'altro alla sinistra.
28	28 Così si adempì quella profezia: «È stato annoverato tra i malfattori».
29 The passers-by jeered at him; they shook their heads and said, 'Aha! So you would destroy theTemple and rebuild it in three days!	29 Quanti passavano lo bestemmiavano scrollando il capo e dicendo: «Eh, tu che distruggi il tempio di Dio e in tre giorni lo riedifichi,
30 Then save yourself; come down from the cross!'	30 salva te stesso, scendi dalla croce!».
31 The chief priests and the scribes mocked him among themselves in the same way with the words,'He saved others, he cannot save himself.	31 Nello stesso modo anche i principi dei Sacerdoti e gli Scribi, facendosi beffe di lui dicevano: «Ha salvato gli altri e non può salvare se stesso.
32 Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down from the cross now, for us to see it and believe.' Eventhose who were crucified with him taunted him.	32 Il Cristo, re d'Israele, scenda adesso dalla croce, affinchè vediamo e crediamo!». Anche i crocifissi con lui lo svillaneggiavano.
33 When the sixth hour came there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.	33 All'ora sesta si fece buio su tutta la terra fino all'ora nona.
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, eloi, lama sabachthani?' which means, 'MyGod, my God, why have you forsaken me?'	34 E all'ora nona, Gesù con gran voce esclamò: «Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabactani?», che tradotto significa: «Dio mio, Dio mio, perchè mi hai abbandonato?».
35 When some of those who stood by heard this, they said, 'Listen, he is cal ing on Elijah.'	35 Alcuni degli astanti udito ciò, dissero: «Ecco, chiama Elia».
36 Someone ran and soaked a sponge in vinegar and, putting it on a reed, gave it to him to drink saying,'Wait! And see if Elijah wil come to take him down.'	36 E uno corse ad inzuppare una spugna nell'aceto e, postala in cima a una canna, gli dava da bere, dicendo: «Lasciate che vediamo se Elia viene a tirarlo giù».
37 But Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last.	37 Ma Gesù, mandando un gran grido, spirò.
38 And the veil of the Sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom.	38 Il velo del tempio si squarciò in due parti, da capo a fondo.
39 The centurion, who was standing in front of him, had seen how he had died, and he said, 'In truth thisman was Son of God.'	39 E il centurione che gli stava dirimpetto, vistolo spirare in quel modo, disse: «Quest'uomo era davvero Figlio di Dio».
40 There were some women watching from a distance. Among them were Mary of Magdala, Mary whowas the mother of James the younger and Joset, and Salome.	40 C'eran pure alcune donne che osservavan da lontano: tra esse vi era Maria Maddalena, Maria, madre di Giacomo il minore e di Giuseppe, e Salome;
41 These used to follow him and look after him when he was in Galilee. And many other women werethere who had come up to Jerusalem with him.	41 le quali, fin da quando era in Galilea, lo seguivano e gli prestavan servigi; e molte altre che eran venute a Gerusalemme insieme con lui.
42 It was now evening, and since it was Preparation Day -- that is, the day before the Sabbath-	42 Venuta la sera, siccome era la Parasceve, cioè la vigilia del sabato,
43 there came Joseph of Arimathaea, a prominent member of the Council, who himself lived in the hopeof seeing the kingdom of God, and he boldly went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.	43 venne Giuseppe d'Arimatea, nobile decurione, il quale pure aspettava il regno di Dio; coraggiosamente si presentò a Pilato a chiedere il corpo di Gesù.
44 Pilate, astonished that he should have died so soon, summoned the centurion and enquired if he hadbeen dead for some time.	44 Pilato si meravigliò che fosse già spirato, e chiamato il centurione gli domandò se fosse già morto.
45 Having been assured of this by the centurion, he granted the corpse to Joseph	45 Conosciuta dal centurione la verità donò il corpo a Giuseppe.
46 who bought a shroud, took Jesus down from the cross, wrapped him in the shroud and laid him in atomb which had been hewn out of the rock. He then rol ed a stone against the entrance to the tomb.	46 Questi comprato un lenzuolo e deposto Gesù dalla croce, lo involse nel lenzuolo e lo mise in un sepolcro scavato nella roccia e rotolò una pietra all'ingresso del sepolcro.
47 Mary of Magdala and Mary the mother of Joset took note of where he was laid.	47 E Maria Maddalena e Maria, madre di Giuseppe stavano a guardare, dove lo collocavano.
