1 'Do not judge, and you will not be judged;	1 אל תשפטו למען לא תשפטו
2 because the judgements you give are the judgements you wil get, and the standard you use wil be thestandard used for you.	2 כי במשפט אשר אתם שפטים בו תשפטו ובמדה אשר אתם מדדים בה ימד לכם
3 Why do you observe the splinter in your brother's eye and never notice the great log in your own?	3 ולמה זה אתה ראה את הקסם בעין אחיך ואת הקורה אשר בעינך לא תביט
4 And how dare you say to your brother, "Let me take that splinter out of your eye," when, look, there is agreat log in your own?	4 ואיך תאמר אל אחיך הניחה לי ואסירה את הקסם מעינך והנה הקורה בעינך
5 Hypocrite! Take the log out of your own eye first, and then you wil see clearly enough to take thesplinter out of your brother's eye.	5 החנף הסר בראשונה את הקורה מעינך ואחרי כן ראה תראה להסיר את הקסם מעין אחיך
6 'Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls in front of pigs, or they may trample themand then turn on you and tear you to pieces.	6 אל תתנו את הקדש לכלבים ואל תשליכו פניניכם לפני החזירים פן ירמסום ברגליהם ופנו וטרפו אתכם
7 'Ask, and it wil be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.	7 שאלו וינתן לכם דרשו ותמצאו דפקו ויפתח לכם
8 Everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the dooropened.	8 כי כל השאל יקבל והדרש ימצא והדפק יפתח לו
9 Is there anyone among you who would hand his son a stone when he asked for bread?	9 ומי זה איש מכם אשר ישאל ממנו בנו לחם ונתן לו אבן
10 Or would hand him a snake when he asked for a fish?	10 וכי ישאל ממנו דג היתן לו נחש
11 If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more wil yourFather in heaven give good things to those who ask him!	11 הן אתם הרעים ידעים לתת מתנות טבות לבניכם אף כי אביכם שבשמים יתן אך טוב לשאלים מאתו
12 'So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the Law and the Prophets.	12 לכן כל אשר תחפצו כי יעשו לכם בני האדם עשו להם גם אתם כי זאת היא התורה והנביאים
13 'Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and manytake it;	13 באו בפתח הצר כי רחב הפתח ומרוח הדרך המביא לאבדון ורבים אשר יבאו בו
14 but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.	14 ומה צר הפתח ומוצק הדרך המביא לחיים ומעטים הם אשר ימצאוהו
15 'Beware of false prophets who come to you disguised as sheep but underneath are ravenous wolves.	15 השמרו לכם מנביאי השקר הבאים אליכם בלבוש כבשים ובקרבם זאבים טרפים המה
16 You wil be able to tel them by their fruits. Can people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?	16 הכר תכירו אותם בפריהם היאספו ענבים מן הקצים או תאנים מן הברקנים
17 In the same way, a sound tree produces good fruit but a rotten tree bad fruit.	17 כן כל עץ טוב עשה פרי טוב והמשחת עשה פרי רע
18 A sound tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a rotten tree bear good fruit.	18 עץ טוב לא יוכל עשות פרי רע ועץ משחת לא יעשה פרי טוב
19 Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire.	19 וכל עץ אשר לא יעשה פרי טוב יגדע וישלך באש
20 I repeat, you wil be able to tel them by their fruits.	20 לכן בפרים תכירו אותם
21 'It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who wil enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the personwho does the wil of my Father in heaven.	21 לא כל האמר לי אדני אדני יבוא אל מלכות השמים כי אם העשה רצון אבי שבשמים
22 When the day comes many wil say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive outdemons in your name, work many miracles in your name?"	22 והיה ביום ההוא יאמרו רבים אלי אדנינו אדנינו הלא בשמך נבאנו ובשמך גרשנו שדים ובשמך עשינו גבורות רבות
23 Then I shal tel them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, al evil doers!	23 אז אענה בם לאמר מעולם לא ידעתי אתכם סורו ממני פעלי האון
24 'Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock.	24 לכן כל השמע את דברי אלה ועשה אתם אדמהו לאיש חכם אשר בנה את ביתו על הסלע
25 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and hurled themselves against that house, and it did not fal :it was founded on rock.	25 וירד הגשם וישטפו הנהרות וישבו הרוחות ויגעו בבית ההוא ולא נפל כי יסד על הסלע
26 But everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid manwho built his house on sand.	26 וכל השמע את דברי אלה ולא יעשה אתם ידמה לאיש בער אשר בנה את ביתו על החול
27 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and what a fall it had!'	27 וירד הגשם וישטפו הנהרות וישבו הרוחות ויפגעו בבית ההוא ויפל ותהי מפלתו גדולה
28 Jesus had now finished what he wanted to say, and his teaching made a deep impression on thepeople	28 ויהי ככלות ישוע לדבר את הדברים האלה וישתומם המון העם על תורתו
29 because he taught them with authority, unlike their own scribes.	29 כי היה מלמד אותם כבעל גבורה ולא כסופרים
