Zechariah 4

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 The angel who was talking to me came back and roused me as though rousing someone who wasasleep.	1 E tornò l'angelo che parlava con me, e mi fece svegliare come uomo che si desta dal sonno.
2 And he asked me, 'What do you see?' I replied, 'As I look, there is a lamp-stand entirely of gold with abowl at the top of it; it holds seven lamps, with seven openings for the lamps on it.	2 E mi disse: « Che vedi? » Risposi: « Ho veduto, ed ecco un candelabro tutto d'oro, ha una lampada in cima, e porta sette lucerne, e sette canaletti per le lucerne che sono sopra di lui.
3 By it are two olive trees, one to the right and the other to the left.'	3 E sopra ha due ulivi, uno a destra e uno a sinistra della lampada.
4 I then said to the angel who was talking to me, 'What are those things, my lord?'	4 E, riprendendo la parola, dico all'angelo che parlava con me: « Signor mio, che son queste cose? »
5 The angel who was talking to me replied, 'Do you not know what they are?' I said, 'No, my lord.'	5 L'angelo che parlava con me mi rispose dicendo: « Come, non sai che sono queste cose? » Risposi: « No, davvero, Signor mio ».
6 He then gave me this answer,'These seven are the eyes of Yahweh, which range over the whole world.'	6 Ed egli ripresa la parola e rivolgendosi a me, disse: « Ecco la parola del Signore (rivolta) a Zorobabele in questi termini: Non per mezzo d'eserciti nè colla forza, ma per virtù del mio spirito — dice il Signore degli eserciti. —
7 'What are you, great mountain? Beside Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! He wil bring out thekeystone while it is cheered with Hurrah! Hurrah!'	7 Che sei tu, o gran monte, davanti a Zorobabele? Sarai spianato. Egli porrà la prima pietra, e uguaglierà la grazia alla grazia di essa ».
8 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	8 La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini:
9 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this Temple; his hands wil finish it. (Then you wilknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you.)	9 « Le mani di Zorobabele han gettati i fondamenti di questa casa, e le sue mani la compiranno, e voi conoscerete che mi ha mandato a voi il Signore degli eserciti.
10 A day of little things, no doubt, but who would dare despise it? How they wil rejoice when they see thechosen stone in the hands of Zerubbabel!'	10 E chi è che ha disprezzati i piccoli giorni? E si rallegreranno nel vedere il filo a piombo in mano di Zorobabele. Questi sette sono gli occhi del Signore che scorrono tutta quanta la terra ».
11 Then I went on to ask him, 'What is the meaning of these two olive trees, to right and left of the lamp-stand?'	11 Ed io ripresi la parola e gli dissi: « Che sono questi due ulivi, uno a destra e l'altro a sinistra del candelabro? »
12 (And I went on to ask him further, 'What is the meaning of the two olive branches discharging oilthrough the two golden openings?')	12 E di nuovo ripresi la parola e gli dissi: « Che son questi due rami degli ulivi che stanno presso i due beccucci d'oro, dove sono i canaletti d'oro? »
13 He replied, 'Do you not know what they are?' I said, 'No, my lord.'	13 Egli mi rispose, dicendo: « Come? non sai che siano queste cose? » Dissi: « No, davvero, Signor mio ».
14 He said, 'These are the two anointed ones in attendance on the Lord of the whole world. This is theword of Yahweh with regard to Zerubbabel, 'Not by might and not by power, but by my spirit' -- says YahwehSabaoth.	14 Ed egli disse: « Questi son due unti che? stan dinanzi al Dominatore di tutta la terra ».
