Zechariah 4

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The angel who was talking to me came back and roused me as though rousing someone who wasasleep.	1 L'angelo che mi parlava tornò di nuovo e mi svegliò come uno che è svegliato dal sonno.
2 And he asked me, 'What do you see?' I replied, 'As I look, there is a lamp-stand entirely of gold with abowl at the top of it; it holds seven lamps, with seven openings for the lamps on it.	2 Mi domandò: "Che vedi?". Risposi: "Io vedo un candelabro tutto d'oro con un'ampolla sulla cima; esso ha sette lampade sulla sua cima e le lampade che sono sulla sua cima hanno sette beccucci.
3 By it are two olive trees, one to the right and the other to the left.'	3 Due ulivi stanno accanto ad esso, uno alla sua destra e uno alla sua sinistra".
4 I then said to the angel who was talking to me, 'What are those things, my lord?'	4 Allora domandai all'angelo che mi parlava: "Questi che sono, mio signore?".
5 The angel who was talking to me replied, 'Do you not know what they are?' I said, 'No, my lord.'	5 L'angelo che mi parlava rispose: "Non sai che sono questi?". Risposi: "No, mio signore!".
6 He then gave me this answer,'These seven are the eyes of Yahweh, which range over the whole world.'	6 Questa la parola del Signore per Zorobabele: Non con la potenza né con la forza, ma con il mio spirito, dice il Signore degli eserciti!
7 'What are you, great mountain? Beside Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! He wil bring out thekeystone while it is cheered with Hurrah! Hurrah!'	7 Chi sei tu, grande montagna? Davanti a Zorobabele sarai una pianura! Lui estrarrà la pietra capitale tra acclamazioni: "Bello, bello!".
8 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	8 La parola del Signore mi fu così rivolta:
9 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this Temple; his hands wil finish it. (Then you wilknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you.)	9 "Le mani di Zorobabele fondano questa casa e le sue mani la tirano su. E saprete che il Signore degli eserciti mi ha mandato a voi!
10 A day of little things, no doubt, but who would dare despise it? How they wil rejoice when they see thechosen stone in the hands of Zerubbabel!'	10 aChi disprezza il giorno che ha così umili inizi? Si rallegreranno vedendo la pietra scelta dalla mano di Zorobabele".
11 Then I went on to ask him, 'What is the meaning of these two olive trees, to right and left of the lamp-stand?'	11 Gli domandai di nuovo: "Che significano quei due ulivi, alla destra del candelabro e alla sua sinistra?".
12 (And I went on to ask him further, 'What is the meaning of the two olive branches discharging oilthrough the two golden openings?')	12 E aggiunsi: "Che significano i due rami di ulivo che attraverso due cannelle d'oro versano giù olio limpido?".
13 He replied, 'Do you not know what they are?' I said, 'No, my lord.'	13 Mi rispose: "Non sai che sono questi?". Risposi: "No, mio signore!".
14 He said, 'These are the two anointed ones in attendance on the Lord of the whole world. This is theword of Yahweh with regard to Zerubbabel, 'Not by might and not by power, but by my spirit' -- says YahwehSabaoth.	14 Disse: "Costoro sono due consacrati con l'olio, che stanno davanti al Signore di tutta la terra!".
