Zechariah 4

1 The angel who was talking to me came back and roused me as though rousing someone who wasasleep.	1 E tornò l'Angelo, che parlava in me, e mi svegliò come un uomo, che è svegliato dal sonno,
2 And he asked me, 'What do you see?' I replied, 'As I look, there is a lamp-stand entirely of gold with abowl at the top of it; it holds seven lamps, with seven openings for the lamps on it.	2 E dissentii: Che è quel, che tu vedi? Ed io dissi: Io veggo apparirmi un candelabro tutto d'oro, che ha una lampana in cima, e ha sopra di se sette lucerne, e sette canaletti per le lucerne, che erano sul candeliere.
3 By it are two olive trees, one to the right and the other to the left.'	3 E sopra di esso due ulivi, uno a destra, l'altro a sinistra della lampana.
4 I then said to the angel who was talking to me, 'What are those things, my lord?'	4 E dissi all'Angelo, che parlava in me: Signor mio, che è questo?
5 The angel who was talking to me replied, 'Do you not know what they are?' I said, 'No, my lord.'	5 E l'Angelo, che parlava in me, rispose, e dissemi: Non sai tu quel, che siano queste cose? Ed io dissi: Signor mio, no.
6 He then gave me this answer,'These seven are the eyes of Yahweh, which range over the whole world.'	6 Ed egli rispose, e disse a me: Questa è la parola del Signore, che dice a Zorobabel: Non per mezzo di un esercito, né colla forza, ma per virtù del mio spirito, dice il Signore degli eserciti.
7 'What are you, great mountain? Beside Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! He wil bring out thekeystone while it is cheered with Hurrah! Hurrah!'	7 Che se' tu, o gran monte, dinanzi a Zorobabel l'una pianura: egli imporrà la pietra primaria, e agguaglierà questa a quella grazia.
8 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	8 E il Signore parlò a me, e disse:
9 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this Temple; his hands wil finish it. (Then you wilknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you.)	9 Le mani di Zorobabel han gettati i fondamenti di questa casa, e le mani di lui la ridurranno a perfezione; e voi conoscerete, che il Signore degli eserciti mi ha mandato a voi;
10 A day of little things, no doubt, but who would dare despise it? How they wil rejoice when they see thechosen stone in the hands of Zerubbabel!'	10 Imperocché chi è quegli, che disprezzò i piccoli giorni? Ei si rallegreranno, e vedranno la pietra di piombo in mano di Zorobabel. Questi sono i sette occhi del Signore, che scorrono tutta quanta la terra.
11 Then I went on to ask him, 'What is the meaning of these two olive trees, to right and left of the lamp-stand?'	11 Ed io soggiunsi, e dissi a lui: Che son eglino questi due ulivi a destra, e a sinistra del candeliere?
12 (And I went on to ask him further, 'What is the meaning of the two olive branches discharging oilthrough the two golden openings?')	12 E replicai ancora in secondo luogo,e gli dissi: Che son eglino que' due rami degli ulivi, che sono presso ai due beccucci di oro, dove sono i canaletti di oro?
13 He replied, 'Do you not know what they are?' I said, 'No, my lord.'	13 Ed egli disse a me: Non sai tu quel, che siano queste cose? Ed io dissi: Signor mio, no.
14 He said, 'These are the two anointed ones in attendance on the Lord of the whole world. This is theword of Yahweh with regard to Zerubbabel, 'Not by might and not by power, but by my spirit' -- says YahwehSabaoth.	14 Ed egli disse: Questi sono i due unti, i quali stan dinanzi al Dominatore di tutta la terra.
