NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר
2 'Give the Israelites this order. Say: "When you enter the country (Canaan), this will be the countrywhich forms your heritage. This is Canaan as defined by its boundaries:	2 צַו אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי־אַתֶּם בָּאִים אֶל־הָאָרֶץ כְּנָעַן זֹאת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר תִּפֹּל לָכֶם בְּנַחֲלָה אֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן לִגְבֻלֹתֶיהָ
3 "The southern part of your country wil start from the desert of Zin, on the borders of Edom. Yoursouthern boundary wil start on the east at the end of the Salt Sea.	3 וְהָיָה לָכֶם פְּאַת־נֶגֶב מִמִּדְבַּר־צִן עַל־יְדֵי אֱדֹום וְהָיָה לָכֶם גְּבוּל נֶגֶב מִקְצֵה יָם־הַמֶּלַח קֵדְמָה
4 It wil then turn south towards the Ascent of the Scorpions and go by Zin to end in the south atKadesh-Barnea. It wil then run towards Hazar-Addar and pass through Azmon.	4 וְנָסַב לָכֶם הַגְּבוּל מִנֶּגֶב לְמַעֲלֵה עַקְרַבִּים וְעָבַר צִנָה [וְהָיָה כ] (וְהָיוּ ק) תֹּוצְאֹתָיו מִנֶּגֶב לְקָדֵשׁ בַּרְנֵעַ וְיָצָא חֲצַר־אַדָּר וְעָבַר עַצְמֹנָה
5 From Azmon the boundary wil turn towards the Torrent of Egypt and end at the Sea.	5 וְנָסַב הַגְּבוּל מֵעַצְמֹון נַחְלָה מִצְרָיִם וְהָיוּ תֹוצְאֹתָיו הַיָּמָּה
6 "Your seaboard wil be on the Great Sea; this will be your western boundary.	6 וּגְבוּל יָם וְהָיָה לָכֶם הַיָּם הַגָּדֹול וּגְבוּל זֶה־יִהְיֶה לָכֶם גְּבוּל יָם
7 "Your northern boundary wil be as fol ows: you wil draw a line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor,	7 וְזֶה־יִהְיֶה לָכֶם גְּבוּל צָפֹון מִן־הַיָּם הַגָּדֹל תְּתָאוּ לָכֶם הֹר הָהָר
8 then from Mount Hor you wil draw a line to the Pass of Hamath, and the boundary will end at Zedad.	8 מֵהֹר הָהָר תְּתָאוּ לְבֹא חֲמָת וְהָיוּ תֹּוצְאֹת הַגְּבֻל צְדָדָה
9 From there it wil run on to Ziphron and end at Hazar-Enan. This wil be your northern boundary.	9 וְיָצָא הַגְּבֻל זִפְרֹנָה וְהָיוּ תֹוצְאֹתָיו חֲצַר עֵינָן זֶה־יִהְיֶה לָכֶם גְּבוּל צָפֹון
10 "You will then draw your eastern boundary from Hazar-Enan to Shepham.	10 וְהִתְאַוִּיתֶם לָכֶם לִגְבוּל קֵדְמָה מֵחֲצַר עֵינָן שְׁפָמָה
11 The boundary wil run down from Shepham towards Riblah on the east side of Ain. Further down itwil keep to the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth.	11 וְיָרַד הַגְּבֻל מִשְּׁפָם הָרִבְלָה מִקֶּדֶם לָעָיִן וְיָרַד הַגְּבוּל וּמָחָה עַל־כֶּתֶף יָם־כִּנֶּרֶת קֵדְמָה
12 The frontier wil then fol ow the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. "Such wil be your country with theboundaries surrounding it." '	12 וְיָרַד הַגְּבוּל הַיַּרְדֵּנָה וְהָיוּ תֹוצְאֹתָיו יָם הַמֶּלַח זֹאת תִּהְיֶה לָכֶם הָאָרֶץ לִגְבֻלֹתֶיהָ סָבִיב
13 Moses then gave the Israelites this order: 'This is the country, where your heritages wil be assignedby lot, and which Yahweh has ordered to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe,	13 וַיְצַו מֹשֶׁה אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר זֹאת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר תִּתְנַחֲלוּ אֹתָהּ בְּגֹורָל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לָתֵת לְתִשְׁעַת הַמַּטֹּות וַחֲצִי הַמַּטֶּה
14 for the tribe of the Reubenites with their families and the tribe of the Gadites with their families havealready received their heritage; the half-tribe of Manasseh has also received its heritage.	14 כִּי לָקְחוּ מַטֵּה בְנֵי הָראוּבֵנִי לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם וּמַטֵּה בְנֵי־הַגָּדִי לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם וַחֲצִי מַטֵּה מְנַשֶּׁה לָקְחוּ נַחֲלָתָם
15 These two tribes and the half-tribe have received their heritage on the other side of the Jordan byJericho, to the east, towards the sunrise.'	15 שְׁנֵי הַמַּטֹּות וַחֲצִי הַמַּטֶּה לָקְחוּ נַחֲלָתָם מֵעֵבֶר לְיַרְדֵּן יְרֵחֹו קֵדְמָה מִזְרָחָה׃ פ
16 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	16 וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר
17 'Here are the names of the men who wil divide the country up for you: the priest Eleazar andJoshua son of Nun,	17 אֵלֶּה שְׁמֹות הָאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר־יִנְחֲלוּ לָכֶם אֶת־הָאָרֶץ אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן וִיהֹושֻׁעַ בִּן־נוּן
18 and you wil take one leader from each tribe to divide the country up into heritages.	18 וְנָשִׂיא אֶחָד נָשִׂיא אֶחָד מִמַּטֶּה תִּקְחוּ לִנְחֹל אֶת־הָאָרֶץ
19 Here are the names of these men: 'For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;	19 וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמֹות הָאֲנָשִׁים לְמַטֵּה יְהוּדָה כָּלֵב בֶּן־יְפֻנֶּה
20 'for the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud;	20 וּלְמַטֵּה בְּנֵי שִׁמְעֹון שְׁמוּאֵל בֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד
21 'for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;	21 לְמַטֵּה בִנְיָמִן אֱלִידָד בֶּן־כִּסְלֹון
22 'for the tribe of the Danites, the leader Bukki son of Jogli;	22 וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־דָן נָשִׂיא בֻּקִּי בֶּן־יָגְלִי
23 'for the sons of Joseph: for the tribe of Manasseh, the leader Hanniel son of Ephod;	23 לִבְנֵי יֹוסֵף לְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־מְנַשֶּׁה נָשִׂיא חַנִּיאֵל בֶּן־אֵפֹד
24 'for the tribe of the Ephraimites, the leader Kemuel son of Shiphtan;	24 וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־אֶפְרַיִם נָשִׂיא קְמוּאֵל בֶּן־שִׁפְטָן
25 'for the tribe of the Zebulunites, the leader Elizaphan son of Parnach;	25 וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־זְבוּלֻן נָשִׂיא אֱלִיצָפָן בֶּן־פַּרְנָךְ
26 'for the tribe of the Issacharites, the leader Paltiel son of Azzan;	26 וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־יִשָׂשכָר נָשִׂיא פַּלְטִיאֵל בֶּן־עַזָּן
27 'for the tribe of the Asherites, the leader Ahihud son of Shelomi;	27 וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־אָשֵׁר נָשִׂיא אֲחִיהוּד בֶּן־שְׁלֹמִי
28 'for the tribe of the Naphtalites, the leader Pedahel son of Ammihud.'	28 וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־נַפְתָּלִי נָשִׂיא פְּדַהְאֵל בֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד
29 These were the men whom Yahweh ordered to divide Canaan into heritages for the Israelites.	29 אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לְנַחֵל אֶת־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן׃ פ
