NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'Give the Israelites this order. Say: "When you enter the country (Canaan), this will be the countrywhich forms your heritage. This is Canaan as defined by its boundaries:	2 "Ordina ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Poiché state per entrare nella terra di Canaan, questa sarà la terra che otterrete come eredità: la terra di Canaan.
3 "The southern part of your country wil start from the desert of Zin, on the borders of Edom. Yoursouthern boundary wil start on the east at the end of the Salt Sea.	3 Il vostro confine meridionale sarà dal deserto di Zin, a fianco di Edom, e il vostro confine meridionale sarà l'estremità del Mar Morto, a est.
4 It wil then turn south towards the Ascent of the Scorpions and go by Zin to end in the south atKadesh-Barnea. 8 then from Mount Hor you wil draw a line to the Pass of Hamath, and the boundary will end at Zedad.	8 dal monte Or traccerete una linea fino all'ingresso di Camat, e lo sbocco del confine sarà a Zedad;
9 From there it wil run on to Ziphron and end at Hazar-Enan. This wil be your northern boundary.	9 il confine uscirà poi a Zifron e il suo sbocco sarà a Cazar-Enan. Questo sarà il vostro confine settentrionale.
10 "You will then draw your eastern boundary from Hazar-Enan to Shepham.	10 Per il confine orientale, vi traccerete una linea da Cazar-Enan a Sefam.
11 The boundary wil run down from Shepham towards Riblah on the east side of Ain. Further down itwil keep to the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth.	11 Il confine scenderà da Sefam a Ribla, a est di Ain; il confine scenderà e lambirà il fianco del lago di Genezaret, a est.

13 Moses then gave the Israelites this order: 'This is the country, where your heritages wil be assignedby lot, and which Yahweh has ordered to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe,	13 Mosè ordinò ai figli d'Israele: "Questa è la terra che vi spartirete in sorte, che il Signore ordinò di dare alle nove tribù e mezzo,

18 and you wil take one leader from each tribe to divide the country up into heritages.	18 prenderete anche un capo per ogni tribù, per fare la spartizione della terra.
19 Here are the names of these men: 'For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;	19 Questi sono i nomi degli uomini. Per la tribù di Giuda, Caleb, figlio di Iefunne;
20 'for the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud;	20 per la tribù dei figli di Simeone, Samuele, figlio di Ammiud;

29 These were the men whom Yahweh ordered to divide Canaan into heritages for the Israelites.	29 A questi il Signore ordinò di dividere tra i figli d'Israele la terra di Canaan.
