NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
2 'Give the Israelites this order. Say: "When you enter the country (Canaan), this will be the countrywhich forms your heritage. This is Canaan as defined by its boundaries:	2 "Ordonne ceci aux Israélites, tu leur diras: Quand vous entrerez dans le pays (de Canaan), voici lepays qui deviendra votre héritage. C'est le pays de Canaan selon ses frontières.
3 "The southern part of your country wil start from the desert of Zin, on the borders of Edom. Yoursouthern boundary wil start on the east at the end of the Salt Sea.	3 La région méridionale de votre domaine s'étendra à partir du désert de Cîn, qui confine à Edom.Votre frontière méridionale commencera du côté de l'orient à l'extrémité de la mer Salée.
4 It wil then turn south towards the Ascent of the Scorpions and go by Zin to end in the south atKadesh-Barnea. It wil then run towards Hazar-Addar and pass through Azmon.	4 Puis elle obliquera au sud, vers la montée des Scorpions, passera par Cîn et aboutira au midi àCadès-Barné. Puis elle ira vers Haçar-Addar et passera par Açmôn.
5 From Azmon the boundary wil turn towards the Torrent of Egypt and end at the Sea.	5 D'Açmôn, la frontière obliquera ensuite vers le Torrent d'Egypte et aboutira à la Mer.
6 "Your seaboard wil be on the Great Sea; this will be your western boundary.	6 Vous aurez pour frontière maritime la Grande Mer; cette limite vous servira de frontière àl'occident.
7 "Your northern boundary wil be as fol ows: you wil draw a line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor,	7 Et voici votre frontière septentrionale. Vous tracerez une ligne depuis la Grande Mer jusqu'à Hor-la-Montagne,
8 then from Mount Hor you wil draw a line to the Pass of Hamath, and the boundary will end at Zedad.	8 puis de Hor-la-Montagne vous tracerez une ligne jusqu'à l'Entrée de Hamat, et la frontièreaboutira à Cedad.
9 From there it wil run on to Ziphron and end at Hazar-Enan. This wil be your northern boundary.	9 Elle ira vers Ziphrôn et aboutira à Haçar-Enân. Elle sera votre frontière septentrionale.
10 "You will then draw your eastern boundary from Hazar-Enan to Shepham.	10 Puis vous tracerez votre frontière orientale de Haçar-Enân à Shepham.
11 The boundary wil run down from Shepham towards Riblah on the east side of Ain. Further down itwil keep to the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth.	11 La frontière descendra de Shepham vers Harbel, à l'orient de Ayîn. Descendant encore elletouchera la rive orientale de la mer de Kinnérèt.
12 The frontier wil then fol ow the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. "Such wil be your country with theboundaries surrounding it." '	12 La frontière suivra alors le Jourdain pour aboutir à la mer Salée. Tel sera votre pays avec lesfrontières qui en font le tour."
13 Moses then gave the Israelites this order: 'This is the country, where your heritages wil be assignedby lot, and which Yahweh has ordered to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe,	13 Moïse ordonna alors ceci aux Israélites: "Voici le pays que vous vous partagerez par le sort, etque Yahvé a prescrit de donner aux neuf tribus et à la demi-tribu.
14 for the tribe of the Reubenites with their families and the tribe of the Gadites with their families havealready received their heritage; the half-tribe of Manasseh has also received its heritage.	14 Car la tribu des fils de Ruben avec ses familles et la tribu des fils de Gad avec ses familles ontdéjà reçu leur héritage; la demi-tribu de Manassé a aussi reçu son héritage.
15 These two tribes and the half-tribe have received their heritage on the other side of the Jordan byJericho, to the east, towards the sunrise.'	15 Ces deux tribus et la demi-tribu ont reçu leur héritage au-delà du Jourdain de Jéricho, à l'orient,au levant."
16 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	16 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
17 'Here are the names of the men who wil divide the country up for you: the priest Eleazar andJoshua son of Nun,	17 "Voici les noms des hommes qui vous partageront le pays: Eléazar le prêtre et Josué fils de Nûn,
18 and you wil take one leader from each tribe to divide the country up into heritages.	18 et pour chaque tribu vous prendrez un prince pour le partage du pays.
19 Here are the names of these men: 'For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;	19 Voici les noms de ces hommes: Pour la tribu de Juda, Caleb, fils de Yephunné;
20 'for the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud;	20 pour la tribu des fils de Siméon, Shemuel, fils d'Ammihud;
21 'for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;	21 pour la tribu de Benjamin, Elidad, fils de Kislôn;
22 'for the tribe of the Danites, the leader Bukki son of Jogli;	22 pour la tribu des fils de Dan, le prince Buqqi, fils de Yogli;
23 'for the sons of Joseph: for the tribe of Manasseh, the leader Hanniel son of Ephod;	23 pour les fils de Joseph, pour la tribu des fils de Manassé, le prince Hanniel, fils d'Ephod;
24 'for the tribe of the Ephraimites, the leader Kemuel son of Shiphtan;	24 et pour la tribu des fils d'Ephraïm, le prince Qemuel, fils de Shiphtân;
25 'for the tribe of the Zebulunites, the leader Elizaphan son of Parnach;	25 pour la tribu de Zabulon, le prince Eliçaphân, fils de Parnak;
26 'for the tribe of the Issacharites, the leader Paltiel son of Azzan;	26 pour la tribu des fils d'Issachar, le prince Paltiel, fils d'Azzân;
27 'for the tribe of the Asherites, the leader Ahihud son of Shelomi;	27 pour la tribu des fils d'Asher, le prince Ahiud, fils de Shelomi;
28 'for the tribe of the Naphtalites, the leader Pedahel son of Ammihud.'	28 pour la tribu des fils de Nephtali, le prince Pedahel, fils d'Ammihud."
29 These were the men whom Yahweh ordered to divide Canaan into heritages for the Israelites.	29 Tels sont ceux à qui Yahvé ordonna d'assigner aux Israélites leur part d'héritage en terre deCanaan.
