Amos 9

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said, 'Strike the top of the pil ar so that the thresholdsshake! Smash their heads in, one and al ! And I shal put any survivors to the sword; whoever runs away wil notrun far, whoever escapes wil not make good his escape.	1 Vidi il Signore ritto sopra l'altare. Egli disse: Colpisci il capitello e crollino gli architravi e fendili sopra la testa di tutti loro; quanti tra loro sopravvivranno con la spada li truciderò. Non fuggirà tra loro un sol fuggitivo né scamperà tra loro un solo scampato.
2 Should they burrow into Sheol, my hand wil haul them out; should they climb to heaven, I shal bringthem down.	2 Se si apriranno un varco negl'inferi, di laggiù la mia mano li afferrerà; se saliranno al cielo, di lassù li tirerò giù;
3 Should they hide on the top of Carmel, I shall track them down and catch them; should they hide fromme on the sea bed, I shall order the Serpent there to bite them;	3 se si nasconderanno sulla vetta del Carmelo, di là li cercherò e li prenderò; se si rinchiuderanno davanti ai miei occhi sul fondo del mare, fin là comanderò al serpente e li morderà;
4 if their enemies herd them into captivity, I shal order the sword to kil them there, and I shall fix myeyes on them for evil and not for good.'	4 se andranno tra i prigionieri in faccia ai loro nemici, fin là comanderò alla spada e li truciderà. Porrò i miei occhi su di loro per la sventura e non per la prosperità.
5 Lord Yahweh Sabaoth- he touches the earth and it melts, and al living things on it lament, as al risestogether like the Nile in Egypt and then subsides like the Egyptian Nile.	5 Il Signore Dio delle schiere, è lui che tocca la terra e si squaglia, fanno lutto tutti gli abitanti in essa; essa si solleva tutta come il Nilo, e come il Nilo d'Egitto s'abbassa.
6 He who builds his mansions in the heavens, supporting his vault on the earth; who summons thewaters of the sea and pours them over the surface of the land: Yahweh is his name.	6 E' lui che costruisce nei cieli le sue soglie, e sulla terra la sua volta ha fondato; è lui che chiama le acque del mare e le riversa sulla faccia della terra: Signore è il suo nome.
7 Are not you and the Cushites all the same to me, children of Israel? - declares Yahweh. Did I not bringIsrael up from Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Aramaeans from Kir?	7 Non siete voi per me come gli Etiopi, figli d'Israele? Oracolo del Signore. Non ho forse fatto salire Israele dalla terra d'Egitto, i Filistei da Caftòr, e gli Aramei da Kir?
8 Look, Lord Yahweh's eyes are on the sinful kingdom, I shal wipe it off the face of the earth, although Ishall not destroy the House of Jacob completely -declares Yahweh.	8 Ecco: gli occhi del Signore Dio sopra il regno peccatore: lo estirperò via dalla faccia del mondo. Ma non del tutto estirperò la casa di Giacobbe. Oracolo del Signore.
9 For look, I shall give the command and shal shake out the House of Israel among al nations as asieve is shaken out without one grain fal ing on the ground.	9 Poiché ecco: proprio io sto per dare un comando, e scuoterò in mezzo a tutte le genti la casa d'Israele, così come si scuote il setaccio; e non cadrà un ciottolino a terra.
10 All the sinners of my people wil perish by the sword, who say, 'Disaster wil never approach orovertake us.'	10 Per la spada morranno tutti i peccatori del mio popolo, essi che dicono: Non farai avvicinare né farai arrivare in mezzo a noi la sventura.
11 On that Day, I shal rebuild the tottering hut of David, make good the gaps in it, restore its ruins andrebuild it as it was in the days of old,	11 In quel giorno: Rimetterò in piedi le capanne cadenti di Davide, murerò le loro brecce, ne rimetterò in piedi le rovine, le edificherò come nei giorni antichi,
12 for them to be master of what is left of Edom and of al the nations once cal ed mine -Yahwehdeclares, and he wil perform it.	12 affinché essi ereditino il resto di Edom e tutte le genti sulle quali è stato proclamato il mio nome. Oracolo del Signore, che sta per far questo.
13 The days are coming- declares Yahweh- when the ploughman wil tread on the heels of the reaper,and the treader of grapes on the heels of the sower of seed, and the mountains wil run with new wine and thehil s al flow with it.	13 Ecco: giorni stanno arrivando, oracolo del Signore, che l'aratore raggiungerà il mietitore e il pigiatore di grappoli lo spargitore della semente: i monti stilleranno mosto e tutti i colli si liquefaranno.
14 I shall restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, theywil plant vineyards and drink their wine, they wil lay out gardens and eat their produce.	14 Farò tornare gli esuli del mio popolo Israele, edificheranno città devastate e vi abiteranno, pianteranno vigneti e ne berranno vino, coltiveranno frutteti e ne mangeranno il prodotto.
15 And I shal plant them in their own soil and they wil never be uprooted again from the country which Ihave given them, declares Yahweh, your God.	15 Li pianterò sopra il loro territorio, e non saranno più sradicati dal suolo che io ho donato loro, ha detto il Signore tuo Dio.
