Amos 9

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA MARTINI
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said, 'Strike the top of the pil ar so that the thresholdsshake! Smash their heads in, one and al ! And I shal put any survivors to the sword; whoever runs away wil notrun far, whoever escapes wil not make good his escape.	1 Io vidi il Signore, che stava sopra l'altare, e disse: Percuoti la soglia, e si scuoterà l'architrave; perocché tutti son dominati dall'avarizia, ed io farò perire di spada fino all'ultimo di essi: non avranno scampo: fuggiranno, e nissuno si salverà colla fuga.
2 Should they burrow into Sheol, my hand wil haul them out; should they climb to heaven, I shal bringthem down.	2 Quand'ei scendessero sino all'inferno, di là io li trarrò fuori colla mia mano, e se salissero fino al cielo, di lassù io li precipiterò.
3 Should they hide on the top of Carmel, I shall track them down and catch them; should they hide fromme on the sea bed, I shall order the Serpent there to bite them;	3 E se si nasconderanno sulla cima del Carmelo, io n'anderò in traccia, e ne li farò venir fuori; e se agli occhi miei si celeranno nel fondo del mare, ivi ordinerò al dragone, che li morda.
4 if their enemies herd them into captivity, I shal order the sword to kil them there, and I shall fix myeyes on them for evil and not for good.'	4 E quando saran condotti in ischiavitù innanzi a' loro nemici, ivi ordinerò alla spada, che gli uccida, e gli occhi miei terrò sopra di essi per loro male, e non per bene.
5 Lord Yahweh Sabaoth- he touches the earth and it melts, and al living things on it lament, as al risestogether like the Nile in Egypt and then subsides like the Egyptian Nile.	5 E il Signore egli è il Dio degli eserciti, al tocco di cui si strugge la terra: tutti gli abitatori di essa saranno in pianti: la soverchierà quasi un pieno fiume, ed ella sparirà come il rivo d'Egitto.
6 He who builds his mansions in the heavens, supporting his vault on the earth; who summons thewaters of the sea and pours them over the surface of the land: Yahweh is his name.	6 Egli si è fabbricato nel cielo il suo soglio, e ha fondato sopra la terra l'aggregato delle cose. Egli chiama le acque del mare, e le spande sulla superficie della terra; il suo nome egli è il Signore.
7 Are not you and the Cushites all the same to me, children of Israel? - declares Yahweh. Did I not bringIsrael up from Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Aramaeans from Kir?	7 Non siete voi per me, o figliuoli d'Israele, come i figliuoli degli Etiopi, dice il Signore? Non feci io uscir dalla terra d'Egitto Israele, come i Palestini dalla Cappadocia, e i Siri da Cirene?
8 Look, Lord Yahweh's eyes are on the sinful kingdom, I shal wipe it off the face of the earth, although Ishall not destroy the House of Jacob completely -declares Yahweh.	8 Ma gli occhi del Signore Dio sono aperti sopra il regno, che pecca, ed io lo torrò dal mondo; ma non isperderò totalmente la casa di Giacobbe, dice il Signore;
9 For look, I shall give the command and shal shake out the House of Israel among al nations as asieve is shaken out without one grain fal ing on the ground.	9 Perocché ecco, che al mio comando sarà scossa in mezzo a tutte le genti la casa d'Israele, come si scuote il grano nel vaglio, e non anderanne per terra un granellino.
10 All the sinners of my people wil perish by the sword, who say, 'Disaster wil never approach orovertake us.'	10 Periranno di spada tutti i peccatori del popol mio, i quali dicono: Non ci si accosterà, né verrà male alcuno sopra di noi.
11 On that Day, I shal rebuild the tottering hut of David, make good the gaps in it, restore its ruins andrebuild it as it was in the days of old,	11 Io ristorerò in quel giorno il tabernacolo di Davidde, che è per terra, e rassetterò le aperture delle sue mura, e riparerò tutte le sue rovine, e la rimetterò in piedi, qual era ne' tempi antichi;
12 for them to be master of what is left of Edom and of al the nations once cal ed mine -Yahwehdeclares, and he wil perform it.	12 Affinchè eglino siano padroni de gli avanzi dell'Idumea, e di tutte le genti, perchè essi hanno nome da me, dice il Signore, che fa tali cose.
13 The days are coming- declares Yahweh- when the ploughman wil tread on the heels of the reaper,and the treader of grapes on the heels of the sower of seed, and the mountains wil run with new wine and thehil s al flow with it.	13 Ecco, che viene il tempo, dice il Signore, quando l'aratore verrà subito dietro a quello, che miete; e quello, che pigia le uve dietro al seminatore. I monti stilleranno dolcezza, e saran col tivati tutti i colli.
14 I shall restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, theywil plant vineyards and drink their wine, they wil lay out gardens and eat their produce.	14 E torro di schiavitù il mio popolo d'Israele, e riedificheranno le città abbandonate, e vi abiteranno; e pianteranno vigne, e ne beranno il vino, e faranno de' giardini, e ne mangeranno le frutta.
15 And I shal plant them in their own soil and they wil never be uprooted again from the country which Ihave given them, declares Yahweh, your God.	15 Ed io li pianterò nella loro terra, e non gli schianterò mai più dalla loro terra data ad essi da me, dice il Signore Dio tuo.
