Amos 9

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said, 'Strike the top of the pil ar so that the thresholdsshake! Smash their heads in, one and al ! And I shal put any survivors to the sword; whoever runs away wil notrun far, whoever escapes wil not make good his escape.	1 رأيت السيد قائما على المذبح فقال اضرب تاج العمود حتى ترجف الاعتاب وكسّرها على رؤوس جميعهم فأقتل آخرهم بالسيف. لا يهرب منهم هارب ولا يفلت منهم ناج.
2 Should they burrow into Sheol, my hand wil haul them out; should they climb to heaven, I shal bringthem down.	2 ان نقبوا الى الهاوية فمن هناك تاخذهم يدي وان صعدوا الى السماء فمن هناك انزلهم.
3 Should they hide on the top of Carmel, I shall track them down and catch them; should they hide fromme on the sea bed, I shall order the Serpent there to bite them;	3 وان اختبأوا في راس الكرمل فمن هناك افتش وآخذهم وان اختفوا من امام عينيّ في قعر البحر فمن هناك آمر الحيّة فتلدغهم.
4 if their enemies herd them into captivity, I shal order the sword to kil them there, and I shall fix myeyes on them for evil and not for good.'	4 وان مضوا في السبي امام اعدائهم فمن هناك آمر السيف فيقتلهم واجعل عينيّ عليهم للشر لا للخير
5 Lord Yahweh Sabaoth- he touches the earth and it melts, and al living things on it lament, as al risestogether like the Nile in Egypt and then subsides like the Egyptian Nile.	5 والسيد رب الجنود الذي يمسّ الارض فتذوب وينوح الساكنون فيها وتطمو كلها كنهر وتنضب كنيل مصر
6 He who builds his mansions in the heavens, supporting his vault on the earth; who summons thewaters of the sea and pours them over the surface of the land: Yahweh is his name.	6 الذي بنى في السماء علاليه وأسّس على الارض قبّته الذي يدعو مياه البحر ويصبها على وجه الارض يهوه اسمه
7 Are not you and the Cushites all the same to me, children of Israel? - declares Yahweh. Did I not bringIsrael up from Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Aramaeans from Kir?	7 ألستم لي كبني الكوشيين يا بني اسرائيل يقول الرب. ألم اصعد اسرائيل من ارض مصر والفلسطينيين من كفتور والاراميين من قير.
8 Look, Lord Yahweh's eyes are on the sinful kingdom, I shal wipe it off the face of the earth, although Ishall not destroy the House of Jacob completely -declares Yahweh.	8 هوذا عينا السيد الرب على المملكة الخاطئة وابيدها عن وجه الارض غير اني لا ابيد بيت يعقوب تماما يقول الرب.
9 For look, I shall give the command and shal shake out the House of Israel among al nations as asieve is shaken out without one grain fal ing on the ground.	9 لانه هانذا آمر فاغربل بيت اسرائيل بين جميع الامم كما يغربل في الغربال وحبة لا تقع الى الارض.
10 All the sinners of my people wil perish by the sword, who say, 'Disaster wil never approach orovertake us.'	10 بالسيف يموت كل خاطئي شعبي القائلين لا يقترب الشر ولا يأتي بيننا
11 On that Day, I shal rebuild the tottering hut of David, make good the gaps in it, restore its ruins andrebuild it as it was in the days of old,	11 في ذلك اليوم اقيم مظلّة داود الساقطة واحصّن شقوقها واقيم ردمها وابنيها كايام الدهر.
12 for them to be master of what is left of Edom and of al the nations once cal ed mine -Yahwehdeclares, and he wil perform it.	12 لكي يرثوا بقية ادوم وجميع الامم الذين دعي اسمي عليهم يقول الرب الصانع هذا.
13 The days are coming- declares Yahweh- when the ploughman wil tread on the heels of the reaper,and the treader of grapes on the heels of the sower of seed, and the mountains wil run with new wine and thehil s al flow with it.	13 ها ايام تأتي يقول الرب يدرك الحارث الحاصد ودائس العنب باذر الزرع وتقطر الجبال عصيرا وتسيل جميع التلال.
14 I shall restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, theywil plant vineyards and drink their wine, they wil lay out gardens and eat their produce.	14 وارد سبي شعبي اسرائيل فيبنون مدنا خربة ويسكنون ويغرسون كروما ويشربون خمرها ويصنعون جنّات ويأكلون اثمارها.
15 And I shal plant them in their own soil and they wil never be uprooted again from the country which Ihave given them, declares Yahweh, your God.	15 واغرسهم في ارضهم ولن يقلعوا بعد من ارضهم التي اعطيتهم قال الرب الهك
