Amos 9

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said, 'Strike the top of the pil ar so that the thresholdsshake! Smash their heads in, one and al ! And I shal put any survivors to the sword; whoever runs away wil notrun far, whoever escapes wil not make good his escape.	1 Yo vi al Señor de pie junto al altar, y él dijo: ¡Golpea el capitel y temblarán los umbrales! Destruye a todos los que van a la cabeza, y a los últimos, los mataré por la espada. No escapará ningún fugitivo, ni uno solo se podrá evadir.
2 Should they burrow into Sheol, my hand wil haul them out; should they climb to heaven, I shal bringthem down.	2 Si fuerzan la entrada del Abismo, mi mano los sacará de allí; si suben hasta el cielo, de allí los derribaré;
3 Should they hide on the top of Carmel, I shall track them down and catch them; should they hide fromme on the sea bed, I shall order the Serpent there to bite them;	3 si se esconden en la cumbre del Carmelo, allí los buscaré y agarraré; si se ocultan de mi vista en el fondo del mar, allí mandaré a la Serpiente que los muerda;
4 if their enemies herd them into captivity, I shal order the sword to kil them there, and I shall fix myeyes on them for evil and not for good.'	4 si van cautivos delante de sus enemigos, allí ordenaré a la espada que los mate; yo tendré puestos mis ojos sobre ellos para su mal y no para su bien.
5 Lord Yahweh Sabaoth- he touches the earth and it melts, and al living things on it lament, as al risestogether like the Nile in Egypt and then subsides like the Egyptian Nile.	5 El Señor de los ejércitos toca la tierra y ella se deshace, y todos sus habitantes están de duelo; la tierra entera crece como el Nilo y luego baja como el Río de Egipto.
6 He who builds his mansions in the heavens, supporting his vault on the earth; who summons thewaters of the sea and pours them over the surface of the land: Yahweh is his name.	6 El construyó en el cielo las gradas de su trono y cimentó su bóveda sobre la tierra; él convoca a las aguas del mar y las derrama sobre la faz de la tierra: ¡su nombre es «el Señor «!
7 Are not you and the Cushites all the same to me, children of Israel? - declares Yahweh. Did I not bringIsrael up from Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Aramaeans from Kir?	7 Israelitas, ¿no son ustedes para mí como los cusitas? –oráculo del Señor–. ¿Acaso no hice salir a Israel del país de Egipto, como a los filisteos de Caftor y a los arameos de Quir?
8 Look, Lord Yahweh's eyes are on the sinful kingdom, I shal wipe it off the face of the earth, although Ishall not destroy the House of Jacob completely -declares Yahweh.	8 Los ojos del Señor están puestos en ese reino pecador, para exterminarlo de la faz de la tierra. Pero yo no exterminaré completamente a la casa de Jacob –oráculo del Señor–.
9 For look, I shall give the command and shal shake out the House of Israel among al nations as asieve is shaken out without one grain fal ing on the ground.	9 Porque daré una orden y zarandearé a la casa de Israel entre todas las naciones, como se zarandea el trigo en la criba, sin que caiga a tierra un solo grano.
10 All the sinners of my people wil perish by the sword, who say, 'Disaster wil never approach orovertake us.'	10 Así morirán por la espada todos los pecadores de mi pueblo, esos que decían: «No se acercará, no nos sucederá la desgracia».
11 On that Day, I shal rebuild the tottering hut of David, make good the gaps in it, restore its ruins andrebuild it as it was in the days of old,	11 Aquel día, yo levantaré la choza derruida de David, repararé sus brechas, restauraré sus ruinas, y la reconstruiré como en los tiempos pasados,
12 for them to be master of what is left of Edom and of al the nations once cal ed mine -Yahwehdeclares, and he wil perform it.	12 para que ellos tomen posesión del resto de Edom y de todas las naciones que han sido llamadas con mi Nombre –oráculo del Señor, que cumplirá todo esto–.
13 The days are coming- declares Yahweh- when the ploughman wil tread on the heels of the reaper,and the treader of grapes on the heels of the sower of seed, and the mountains wil run with new wine and thehil s al flow with it.	13 Llegan los días –oráculo del Señor– en que el labrador seguirá de cerca al que siega, y el que vendimia al que siembra. Las montañas harán correr el vino nuevo y destilarán todas las colinas.
14 I shall restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, theywil plant vineyards and drink their wine, they wil lay out gardens and eat their produce.	14 Yo cambiaré la suerte de mi pueblo Israel; ellos reconstruirán las ciudades devastadas y las habitarán, plantarán viñedos y beberán su vino, cultivarán huertas y comerán sus frutos.
15 And I shal plant them in their own soil and they wil never be uprooted again from the country which Ihave given them, declares Yahweh, your God.	15 Los plantaré en su propio suelo, y nunca más serán arrancados del suelo que yo les di, dice el Señor, tu Dios.
