Amos 9

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said, 'Strike the top of the pil ar so that the thresholdsshake! Smash their heads in, one and al ! And I shal put any survivors to the sword; whoever runs away wil notrun far, whoever escapes wil not make good his escape.	1 - Io vidi il Signore ritto sopra l'altare e disse: - Percuoti il cardine e si sconquassino gli architravi; perchè in capo a tutti i loro sta la loro avarizia, ed io ucciderò colla spada il loro avanzo; non vi sarà per loro scampo; fuggiranno, ma di quelli che saranno fuggiti non ne scamperà nessuno.
2 Should they burrow into Sheol, my hand wil haul them out; should they climb to heaven, I shal bringthem down.	2 Se scenderanno fino agli Inferi, li caverà da quel luogo la mia mano; se saliranno fino al cielo, li tirerò di lassù fino a terra,
3 Should they hide on the top of Carmel, I shall track them down and catch them; should they hide fromme on the sea bed, I shall order the Serpent there to bite them;	3 se si saranno rimpiattati sulla vetta del Carmelo, li scoverò fuori e li ripiglierò; se avranno cercato di celarsi ai miei occhi nel fondo del mare, darò ordine là giù al serpente e li addenterà.
4 if their enemies herd them into captivity, I shal order the sword to kil them there, and I shall fix myeyes on them for evil and not for good.'	4 E se saranno partiti in schiavitù, dinanzi ai loro nemici, darò ordine anche là alla spada e li ucciderà; e porrò gli occhi miei sopra di loro in male e non in bene. -
5 Lord Yahweh Sabaoth- he touches the earth and it melts, and al living things on it lament, as al risestogether like the Nile in Egypt and then subsides like the Egyptian Nile.	5 Il Signore Dio degli eserciti, tocca la terra e si discioglie e piangeranno tutti i suoi abitanti, e l'universo si solleverà come le acque del fiume e si riverserà come la fiumana d'Egitto;
6 He who builds his mansions in the heavens, supporting his vault on the earth; who summons thewaters of the sea and pours them over the surface of the land: Yahweh is his name.	6 Egli edifica nei cieli il suo soglio, e ha fondato sulla terra la compagine della sua volta; chiama le acque del mare e le spande sulla faccia della terra: il suo nome è il Signore!
7 Are not you and the Cushites all the same to me, children of Israel? - declares Yahweh. Did I not bringIsrael up from Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Aramaeans from Kir?	7 - Non vi tengo io forse, o figli d'Israele, alla pari coi figli degli Etiopi, dice egli, il Signore Dio? Non ho io fatto salire Israele dall'Egitto, e i Filistei dalla Cappadocia, e i Siri da Cirene?
8 Look, Lord Yahweh's eyes are on the sinful kingdom, I shal wipe it off the face of the earth, although Ishall not destroy the House of Jacob completely -declares Yahweh.	8 Ecco, gli occhi del Signore Dio sono sopra il regno peccatore, ed io lo sterminerò dalla faccia della terra, ma tuttavia nello sterminio non sterminerò la Casa di Giacobbe, dice il Signore.
9 For look, I shall give the command and shal shake out the House of Israel among al nations as asieve is shaken out without one grain fal ing on the ground.	9 Perchè ecco, che io darò un ordine e agiterò la casa d'Israele in tutte le nazioni, come grano che si agita nel vaglio e non cade alcun chicco per terra.
10 All the sinners of my people wil perish by the sword, who say, 'Disaster wil never approach orovertake us.'	10 Morranno di spada tutti i peccatori del mio popolo, quelli che dicono: "Il male non c'incoglierà e non ci verrà addosso!".
11 On that Day, I shal rebuild the tottering hut of David, make good the gaps in it, restore its ruins andrebuild it as it was in the days of old,	11 In quel giorno, rialzerò il tabernacolo di David che è cascato e riedificherò le rotture delle sue mura e ciò che era rovinato lo ristorerò e lo ricostruirò quale era ai tempi antichi;
12 for them to be master of what is left of Edom and of al the nations once cal ed mine -Yahwehdeclares, and he wil perform it.	12 affinchè conquistino gli avanzi dell'Idumea e di tutte le nazioni, perchè il mio nome è stato invocato sopra di loro, dice il Signore che opera queste cose.
13 The days are coming- declares Yahweh- when the ploughman wil tread on the heels of the reaper,and the treader of grapes on the heels of the sower of seed, and the mountains wil run with new wine and thehil s al flow with it.	13 Ecco che vengono i giorni, dice il Signore; e l'aratore sorprenderà il mietitore; e chi pigia l'uve, colui che sparge le sementi; e i monti stilleranno dolce liquore e tutti i colli saranno coltivati.
14 I shall restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, theywil plant vineyards and drink their wine, they wil lay out gardens and eat their produce.	14 E ritrarrò dalla schiavitù il mio popolo Israele, e riedificheranno le città abbandonate e vi abiteranno; e pianteranno vigne e berranno il loro vino; e coltiveranno orti e mangeranno i loro frutti.
15 And I shal plant them in their own soil and they wil never be uprooted again from the country which Ihave given them, declares Yahweh, your God.	15 E io li ripianterò nel loro suolo e non li svellerò più dalla loro terra; quella che ho dato loro, - dice il Signore Dio tuo».
