Leviticus 20

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblija Hrvatski
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Jahve reče Mojsiju:
2 'Say to the Israelites: "Anyone, be he Israelite or alien resident in Israel, who gives any of his childrento Molech, wil be put to death. The people of the country must stone him,	2 »Kaži Izraelcima: ‘Tko god, Izraelac ili stranac koji živi s Izraelcima, ustupi svoje čedo Moleku, mora se smaknuti; narod zemlje neka ga kamenuje.
3 and I shall set my face against that man and outlaw him from his people; for by giving a child of his toMolech he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name.	3 Ja ću se okrenuti protiv toga čovjeka i odstraniti ga iz njegova naroda, jer je on, ustupivši svoje čedo Moleku, okaljao moje Svetište i obeščastio moje sveto ime.
4 If the people of the country choose to close their eyes to the man's action when he gives a child of histo Molech, and do not put him to death,	4 A ako narod zatvori svoje oči nad tim čovjekom kad svoje čedo ustupi Moleku te ga ne smakne,
5 I myself shal turn my face against that man and his clan. I shal outlaw them from their people, bothhim and all those after him who prostitute themselves by fol owing Molech.	5 ja ću se suprotstaviti tome čovjeku i njegovoj obitelji; odstranit ću ih iz njihova naroda, njega i sve koji poslije njega pođu za Molekom da se podaju bludu s Molekom.
6 "If anyone has recourse to the spirits of the dead or to magicians, to prostitute himself by followingthem, I shal set my face against him and outlaw him from his people.	6 Ako se tko obrati na zazivače duhova i vračare da se za njima poda javnom bludu, ja ću se okrenuti protiv takva čovjeka i odstranit ću ga iz njegova naroda.
7 "Sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am Yahweh your God.	7 Posvećujte se da budete sveti! Ta ja sam Jahve, Bog vaš.
8 "You wil keep my laws and put them into practice, for it is I, Yahweh, who make you holy.	8 Držite moje zakone i vršite ih. Ja, Jahve, posvećujem vas.’
9 Hence: "Anyone who curses father or mother wil be put to death. Having cursed father or mother, theblood wil be on that person's own head.	9 ‘Tko god prokune svoga oca i svoju majku, neka se smakne. Jer je oca svoga i majku svoju prokleo, neka njegova krv padne na nj.
10 "The man who commits adultery with his neighbour's wife wil be put to death, he and the woman.	10 Čovjek koji počini preljub sa ženom svoga susjeda neka se kazni smrću – i preljubnik i preljubnica.
11 "The man who has intercourse with his father's wife has infringed his father's sexual prerogative. Bothof them wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	11 Čovjek koji bi legao sa ženom svoga oca – otkrio bi golotinju svoga oca – neka se oboje kazne smrću, krv njihova neka padne na njih.
12 "The man who has intercourse with his daughter-in-law: both of them wil be put to death; they haveviolated nature, their blood wil be on their own heads.	12 Legne li tko sa svojom snahom, neka se oboje kazne smrću. Učinili su rodoskvrnuće i neka krv njihova padne na njih.
13 "The man who has intercourse with a man in the same way as with a woman: they have done ahateful thing together; they wil be put to death; their blood wil be on their own heads.	13 Ako bi muškarac legao s muškarcem kao što se liježe sa ženom, obojica bi počinila odvratno djelo. Neka se smaknu i krv njihova neka padne na njih.
14 "The man who marries a woman and her mother: this is incest. They wil be burnt alive, he and they;you wil not tolerate incest.	14 Čovjek koji se oženi kćerju i njezinom majkom – krajnja je to pokvarenost! – neka se u vatri spali i on i one, da među vama ne bude pokvarenosti.
15 "The man who has intercourse with an animal will be put to death; you wil kil the animal too.	15 Čovjek koji bi spolno općio sa životinjom ima se smaknuti. Životinju ubijte!
16 "The woman who approaches any animal to have intercourse with it: you will kil the woman and theanimal. They wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	16 Ako bi se žena primakla bilo kakvoj životinji da se s njom pari, ubij i ženu i životinju. Neka se smaknu i njihova krv neka padne na njih.
17 "The man who marries his father's or his mother's daughter: if they have intercourse together, this isan outrage. They wil be executed in public, for the man has had intercourse with his sister; he wil bear theconsequences of his guilt.	17 Čovjek koji bi se oženio svojom sestrom, kćerju svoga oca ili kćerju svoje majke te vidio njezinu golotinju, a ona vidjela njegovu – pogrdno je to djelo! – neka se istrijebe pred očima naroda. Otkrio je golotinju svoje sestre, pa neka snosi i posljedice svoje krivnje.
18 "The man who has intercourse with a woman during her monthly periods and exposes hernakedness: he has laid bare the source of her blood, and she has exposed the source of her blood, and both ofthem wil be outlawed from their people.	18 Čovjek koji bi legao sa ženom za njezina mjesečnog pranja te otkrio njezinu golotinju – razgolio izvor njezine krvi i ona sama otkrila izvor svoje krvi – neka se oboje odstrane iz svoga naroda.
19 "You will not have intercourse with your mother's sister or your father's sister. Whoever does so, hashad intercourse with a close relation; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt.	19 Ne otkrivaj golotinje sestre svoje majke niti sestre svoga oca. Tko bi to učinio, otkrio bi sramotu svojega tijela. Oboje će snositi svoju krivnju.
20 "The man who has intercourse with the wife of his paternal uncle has infringed his uncle's sexualprerogative; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt and die childless.	20 Čovjek koji bi legao sa svojom strinom, otkrio bi golotinju svoga strica. Neka snose posljedice svoga grijeha: neka umru bez poroda.
21 "The man who marries his brother's wife: this is pol ution; he has infringed his brother's sexualprerogative; they wil die childless.	21 Čovjek koji bi se oženio ženom svoga brata – golotinju bi svoga brata otkrio – i to je nečisto. Neka ostanu bez poroda.’
22 "You will keep al my laws, al my decisions, and put them into practice, so that the country where Iam taking you to live wil not vomit you out.	22 ‘Zato držite sve moje zakone, sve moje naredbe i vršite ih da vas ne ispljune zemlja u koju vas vodim da se u njoj nastanite.
23 You wil not fol ow the laws of the nations whom I am driving out before you; they practised al thesethings, which is why I detested them.	23 Nemojte živjeti po zakonima narodâ koje ja ispred vas tjeram. Ta oni su činili sve to, i zato mi se zgadili.
24 As I have already told you, you wil take possession of their soil, I myself shal give you possession ofit, a country flowing with milk and honey. "Since I, Yahweh your God, have set you apart from these peoples,	24 A vama sam ja rekao: vi ćete zaposjesti njihovu zemlju; vama ću je predati u posjed – zemlju kojom teče mlijeko i med. Ja sam Jahve, vaš Bog, koji sam vas odvojio od tih naroda.
25 you for your part wil make a distinction between clean animals and unclean ones and betweenunclean birds and clean ones, and wil not make yourselves detestable with any animal or bird or reptile, which Ihave set apart from you as unclean.	25 Pravite, dakle, razliku između čiste životinje i nečiste; između čiste ptice i nečiste. Nemojte sami sebe opoganjivati ni životinjom, ni pticom, ni bilo čim što zemljom puže: što sam vam ja odlučio kao nečisto.
26 "Be consecrated to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and I shall set you apart from all these peoples, foryou to be mine.	26 Budite mi dakle sveti, jer sam ja, Jahve, svet; ja sam vas odvojio od tih naroda da budete moji.
27 "Any man or woman of yours who is a necromancer or magician will be put to death; they wil bestoned to death; their blood wil be on their own heads." '	27 Čovjek ili žena koji među vama postanu zazivači duhova ili vračari neka se kazne smrću; neka se kamenuju i neka njihova krv padne na njih.’«
