Leviticus 20

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore disse poi a Mosè: "Dirai ai figli d'Israele:
2 'Say to the Israelites: "Anyone, be he Israelite or alien resident in Israel, who gives any of his childrento Molech, wil be put to death. The people of the country must stone him,	2 Chiunque tra i figli d'Israele e i residenti in Israele dia un suo figlio a Moloch, sia messo a morte; la gente del paese lo lapidi.
3 and I shall set my face against that man and outlaw him from his people; for by giving a child of his toMolech he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name.	3 Io mi volgerò contro quest'uomo e lo eliminerò di mezzo al suo popolo, perché ha dato uno dei suoi figli a Moloch, per rendere impuro il mio santuario e profanare il mio santo nome.
4 If the people of the country choose to close their eyes to the man's action when he gives a child of histo Molech, and do not put him to death,	4 Se la gente del paese chiuderà gli occhi davanti a quest'uomo, mentre dà un suo figlio a Moloch, senza metterlo a morte,
5 I myself shal turn my face against that man and his clan. I shal outlaw them from their people, bothhim and all those after him who prostitute themselves by fol owing Molech.	5 sarò io a volgermi contro quell'uomo e contro la sua famiglia ed eliminerò lui di mezzo al suo popolo e tutti quelli che si prostituiscono, seguendo lui nel prostituirsi a Moloch.
6 "If anyone has recourse to the spirits of the dead or to magicians, to prostitute himself by followingthem, I shal set my face against him and outlaw him from his people.	6 Se uno si volgerà agli spettri e agli indovini, prostituendosi dietro di essi, io mi volgerò contro quest'uomo e lo eliminerò di mezzo al suo popolo.
7 "Sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am Yahweh your God.	7 Santificatevi e siate santi, perché io sono il Signore Dio vostro.
8 "You wil keep my laws and put them into practice, for it is I, Yahweh, who make you holy.	8 Osservate le mie leggi e mettetele in pratica. Io sono il Signore che vi santifica.
9 Hence: "Anyone who curses father or mother wil be put to death. Having cursed father or mother, theblood wil be on that person's own head.	9 Chiunque maledirà suo padre e sua madre sia messo a morte: ha maledetto suo padre e sua madre; il suo sangue ricada sopra di lui.
10 "The man who commits adultery with his neighbour's wife wil be put to death, he and the woman.	10 Chiunque commetta adulterio con una donna sposata, chiunque commetta adulterio con la donna del suo prossimo, siano messi a morte l'adultero e l'adultera.
11 "The man who has intercourse with his father's wife has infringed his father's sexual prerogative. Bothof them wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	11 Chiunque abbia giaciuto con la moglie di suo padre, ha scoperto la nudità di suo padre; siano messi a morte ambedue. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi.
12 "The man who has intercourse with his daughter-in-law: both of them wil be put to death; they haveviolated nature, their blood wil be on their own heads.	12 Chiunque abbia giaciuto con la nuora, siano messi a morte ambedue: hanno compiuto un'oscenità. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi.
13 "The man who has intercourse with a man in the same way as with a woman: they have done ahateful thing together; they wil be put to death; their blood wil be on their own heads.	13 Chiunque abbia giaciuto con un uomo come si giace con una donna, hanno compiuto tutti e due un'abominazione; siano messi a morte. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi.
14 "The man who marries a woman and her mother: this is incest. They wil be burnt alive, he and they;you wil not tolerate incest.	14 Chiunque prenda per moglie una donna insieme a sua madre: è un incesto. Si bruceranno lui e loro, affinché non ci sia tra di voi tale incesto.
15 "The man who has intercourse with an animal will be put to death; you wil kil the animal too.	15 Chiunque abbia dato il suo giaciglio a un animale, sia messo a morte, e l'animale l'ucciderete.
16 "The woman who approaches any animal to have intercourse with it: you will kil the woman and theanimal. They wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	16 Se una donna si avvicina a un animale per accoppiarsi con esso, ucciderai la donna e l'animale; ambedue siano messi a morte. Il loro sangue ricada su di essi.
17 "The man who marries his father's or his mother's daughter: if they have intercourse together, this isan outrage. They wil be executed in public, for the man has had intercourse with his sister; he wil bear theconsequences of his guilt.	17 Se un uomo prende in moglie sua sorella, figlia di suo padre o figlia di sua madre, ne vede la nudità ed ella vede la nudità di lui: è un'ignominia; siano eliminati alla presenza dei figli del loro popolo. Ha scoperto la nudità di sua sorella: porti le conseguenze del suo peccato.
18 "The man who has intercourse with a woman during her monthly periods and exposes hernakedness: he has laid bare the source of her blood, and she has exposed the source of her blood, and both ofthem wil be outlawed from their people.	18 Se un uomo ha giaciuto con una donna durante le sue regole, e ne ha scoperto la nudità, ha messo a nudo la fonte del suo sangue ed essa ha scoperto la fonte del suo sangue: siano eliminati ambedue di mezzo al loro popolo.
19 "You will not have intercourse with your mother's sister or your father's sister. Whoever does so, hashad intercourse with a close relation; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt.	19 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tua madre o della sorella di tuo padre, perché scopriresti la sua stessa carne: ambedue porteranno il peso del loro peccato.
20 "The man who has intercourse with the wife of his paternal uncle has infringed his uncle's sexualprerogative; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt and die childless.	20 Un uomo che abbia giaciuto con la propria zia ha scoperto la nudità di suo zio; portino il peso del loro peccato: muoiano senza figli.
21 "The man who marries his brother's wife: this is pol ution; he has infringed his brother's sexualprerogative; they wil die childless.	21 Se uno sposa la moglie di suo fratello, è una impurità: ha scoperto la nudità di suo fratello; non abbiano figli.
22 "You will keep al my laws, al my decisions, and put them into practice, so that the country where Iam taking you to live wil not vomit you out.	22 Osservate tutte le mie leggi e tutti i miei precetti e metteteli in pratica, e la terra in cui vi conduco per abitarla non vi vomiterà.
23 You wil not fol ow the laws of the nations whom I am driving out before you; they practised al thesethings, which is why I detested them.	23 Non comportatevi secondo le leggi dei popoli che scaccio davanti a voi, perché essi hanno fatto tutte queste cose e io mi sono disgustato di loro.
24 As I have already told you, you wil take possession of their soil, I myself shal give you possession ofit, a country flowing with milk and honey. "Since I, Yahweh your God, have set you apart from these peoples,	24 Ma a voi dico: voi prenderete possesso della loro terra e io ve la darò in possesso, una terra che stilla latte e miele! Io sono il Signore Dio vostro che vi ha separato di mezzo ai popoli.
25 you for your part wil make a distinction between clean animals and unclean ones and betweenunclean birds and clean ones, and wil not make yourselves detestable with any animal or bird or reptile, which Ihave set apart from you as unclean.	25 Separate gli animali puri da quelli impuri, e gl'impuri dai puri fra gli uccelli e non contaminatevi con gli animali e con gli uccelli e con qualsiasi bestia che strisci sul suolo, che io ho separato per voi come impuri.
26 "Be consecrated to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and I shall set you apart from all these peoples, foryou to be mine.	26 Siate santi per me, perché santo sono io il Signore, e vi separo dai popoli per essere miei.
27 "Any man or woman of yours who is a necromancer or magician will be put to death; they wil bestoned to death; their blood wil be on their own heads." '	27 Un uomo o una donna fra voi che sia negromante o indovino sia messo a morte: li lapiderete. Il loro sangue ricada su di loro".
