Leviticus 20

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 وكلم الرب موسى قائلا
2 'Say to the Israelites: "Anyone, be he Israelite or alien resident in Israel, who gives any of his childrento Molech, wil be put to death. The people of the country must stone him,	2 وتقول لبني اسرائيل. كل انسان من بني اسرائيل ومن الغرباء النازلين في اسرائيل اعطى من زرعه لمولك فانه يقتل. يرجمه شعب الارض بالحجارة.
3 and I shall set my face against that man and outlaw him from his people; for by giving a child of his toMolech he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name.	3 واجعل انا وجهي ضد ذلك الانسان واقطعه من شعبه لانه اعطى من زرعه لمولك لكي ينجس مقدسي ويدنس اسمي القدوس.
4 If the people of the country choose to close their eyes to the man's action when he gives a child of histo Molech, and do not put him to death,	4 وان غمض شعب الارض اعينهم عن ذلك الانسان عندما يعطي من زرعه لمولك فلم يقتلوه
5 I myself shal turn my face against that man and his clan. I shal outlaw them from their people, bothhim and all those after him who prostitute themselves by fol owing Molech.	5 فاني اضع وجهي ضد ذلك الانسان وضد عشيرته واقطعه وجميع الفاجرين وراءه بالزنى وراء مولك من شعبهم.
6 "If anyone has recourse to the spirits of the dead or to magicians, to prostitute himself by followingthem, I shal set my face against him and outlaw him from his people.	6 والنفس التي تلتفت الى الجان والى التوابع لتزني وراءهم اجعل وجهي ضد تلك النفس واقطعها من شعبها.
7 "Sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am Yahweh your God.	7 فتتقدّسون وتكونون قديسين لاني انا الرب الهكم
8 "You wil keep my laws and put them into practice, for it is I, Yahweh, who make you holy.	8 وتحفظون فرائضي وتعملونها. انا الرب مقدّسكم
9 Hence: "Anyone who curses father or mother wil be put to death. Having cursed father or mother, theblood wil be on that person's own head.	9 كل انسان سبّ اباه او امه فانه يقتل. قد سبّ اباه او امه. دمه عليه.
10 "The man who commits adultery with his neighbour's wife wil be put to death, he and the woman.	10 واذا زنى رجل مع امرأة فاذا زنى مع امرأة قريبه فانه يقتل الزاني والزانية.
11 "The man who has intercourse with his father's wife has infringed his father's sexual prerogative. Bothof them wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	11 واذا اضطجع رجل مع امرأة ابيه فقد كشف عورة ابيه. انهما يقتلان كلاهما. دمهما عليهما.
12 "The man who has intercourse with his daughter-in-law: both of them wil be put to death; they haveviolated nature, their blood wil be on their own heads.	12 واذا اضطجع رجل مع كنّته فانهما يقتلان كلاهما. قد فعلا فاحشة. دمهما عليهما.
13 "The man who has intercourse with a man in the same way as with a woman: they have done ahateful thing together; they wil be put to death; their blood wil be on their own heads.	13 واذا اضطجع رجل مع ذكر اضطجاع امرأة فقد فعلا كلاهما رجسا. انهما يقتلان. دمهما عليهما.
14 "The man who marries a woman and her mother: this is incest. They wil be burnt alive, he and they;you wil not tolerate incest.	14 واذا اتخذ رجل امرأة وامها فذلك رذيلة. بالنار يحرقونه واياهما لكي لا يكون رذيلة بينكم.
15 "The man who has intercourse with an animal will be put to death; you wil kil the animal too.	15 واذا جعل رجل مضجعه مع بهيمة فانه يقتل والبهيمة تميتونها.
16 "The woman who approaches any animal to have intercourse with it: you will kil the woman and theanimal. They wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	16 واذا اقتربت امرأة الى بهيمة لنزائها تميت المرأة والبهيمة. انهما يقتلان. دمهما عليهما.
17 "The man who marries his father's or his mother's daughter: if they have intercourse together, this isan outrage. They wil be executed in public, for the man has had intercourse with his sister; he wil bear theconsequences of his guilt.	17 واذا اخذ رجل اخته بنت ابيه او بنت امه ورأى عورتها ورأت هي عورته فذلك عار. يقطعان امام اعين بني شعبهما. قد كشف عورة اخته. يحمل ذنبه.
18 "The man who has intercourse with a woman during her monthly periods and exposes hernakedness: he has laid bare the source of her blood, and she has exposed the source of her blood, and both ofthem wil be outlawed from their people.	18 واذا اضطجع رجل مع امرأة طامث وكشف عورتها عرّى ينبوعها وكشفت هي ينبوع دمها يقطعان كلاهما من شعبهما.
19 "You will not have intercourse with your mother's sister or your father's sister. Whoever does so, hashad intercourse with a close relation; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt.	19 عورة اخت امك او اخت ابيك لا تكشف انه قد عرّى قريبته. يحملان ذنبهما.
20 "The man who has intercourse with the wife of his paternal uncle has infringed his uncle's sexualprerogative; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt and die childless.	20 واذا اضطجع رجل مع امرأة عمه فقد كشف عورة عمه. يحملان ذنبهما. يموتان عقيمين.
21 "The man who marries his brother's wife: this is pol ution; he has infringed his brother's sexualprerogative; they wil die childless.	21 واذا اخذ رجل امرأة اخيه فذلك نجاسة. قد كشف عورة اخيه. يكونان عقيمين
22 "You will keep al my laws, al my decisions, and put them into practice, so that the country where Iam taking you to live wil not vomit you out.	22 فتحفظون جميع فرائضي وجميع احكامي وتعملونها لكي لا تقذفكم الارض التي انا آت بكم اليها لتسكنوا فيها.
23 You wil not fol ow the laws of the nations whom I am driving out before you; they practised al thesethings, which is why I detested them.	23 ولا تسلكون في رسوم الشعوب الذين انا طاردهم من امامكم. لانهم قد فعلوا كل هذه فكرهتهم.
24 As I have already told you, you wil take possession of their soil, I myself shal give you possession ofit, a country flowing with milk and honey. "Since I, Yahweh your God, have set you apart from these peoples,	24 وقلت لكم ترثون انتم ارضهم وانا اعطيكم اياها لترثوها ارضا تفيض لبنا وعسلا. انا الرب الهكم الذي ميّزكم من الشعوب.
25 you for your part wil make a distinction between clean animals and unclean ones and betweenunclean birds and clean ones, and wil not make yourselves detestable with any animal or bird or reptile, which Ihave set apart from you as unclean.	25 فتميّزون بين البهائم الطاهرة والنجسة وبين الطيور النجسة والطاهرة. فلا تدنسوا نفوسكم بالبهائم والطيور ولا بكل ما يدبّ على الارض مّما ميّزته لكم ليكون نجسا.
26 "Be consecrated to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and I shall set you apart from all these peoples, foryou to be mine.	26 وتكونون لي قديسين لاني قدوس انا الرب. وقد ميّزتكم من الشعوب لتكونوا لي
27 "Any man or woman of yours who is a necromancer or magician will be put to death; they wil bestoned to death; their blood wil be on their own heads." '	27 واذا كان في رجل او امرأة جان او تابعة فانه يقتل بالحجارة يرجمونه. دمه عليه
