Isaiah 3

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Now the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth is about to deprive Jerusalem and Judah of resources and provisions --al reserves of food, al reserves of water-	1 Or dunque il Dominatore, il Signore degli eserciti torrà da Gerusalemme e da Giuda il robusto e il forte, ogni sostentamento di pane, e ogni sostegno d'acqua;
2 of hero, warrior, judge, prophet, diviner, elder,	2 il forte, il guerriero, il giudice, il profeta, l'indovino, l'anziano;
3 captain, dignitary, counsellor, architect, soothsayer.	3 il capo di cinquanta, l'uomo di riguardo, il consigliere, il perito di architettura, e il dotto nell'arcano linguaggio.
4 'I shal give them boys for princes, raw lads to rule over them.'	4 Metterò come loro principi dei ragazzi, e gli effeminati li domineranno.
5 People will be il -treated by one another, each by his neighbour; the young wil insult the aged, and thelow, the respected.	5 Il popolo si rivolterà, l'uomo contro l'uomo, ciascuno contro il suo prossimo: il ragazzo insolentirà contro il vecchio, il plebeo contro il nobile.
6 Yes, a man wil catch hold of his brother in their father's house, to say, 'You have a cloak, so you beleader, and rule this heap of ruins.'	6 Uno prenderà il suo fratello nella casa di suo padre (dicendo): « Hai il vestito: il nostro principe; questa rovina sia sotto la tua mano ».
7 And, that day, the other wil protest, 'I am no healer; in my house there is neither food nor clothing; donot make me leader of the people.'	7 Egli risponderà in quel giorno, dicendo: « Io non son l'uomo dei rimedi, in casa mia, non c'è nè pane nè vesti: non mi fate principe del popolo ».
8 For Jerusalem has col apsed and Judah has fallen, because their words and deeds affront Yahweh andinsult his glorious gaze.	8 Or Gerusalemme rovina e Giuda precipita, perchè la loro lingua e i loro disegni son contro il Signore, in modo da irritare gli occhi della sua maestà.
9 Their complacency bears witness against them, they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not conceal it,al the worse for them, for they have hatched their own downfal .	9 L'aspetto del loro viso risponde contro di loro: come Sodoma si vantano del loro peccato. Guai alla loro anima, perchè il male è reso a loro.
10 Say, 'Blessed the upright, for he will feed on the fruit of his deeds;	10 Dite al giusto, che (avrà) bene, perchè godrà i frutti delle sue opere.
11 woe to the wicked, it wil go il with him, for he will be treated as his actions deserve.'	11 Guai all'empio! Alla malora, che riceverà secondo l'operato delle sue mani.
12 O my people, their oppressors pil age them and extortioners rule over them! O my people, your rulersmislead you and efface the paths you ought to fol ow!	12 Il mio popolo è spogliato dai suoi esattori, è dominato dalle donne. O popolo mio, quelli che ti dicon beato t'ingannano e rovinano la strada dove tu devi passare.
13 Yahweh has risen to accuse, is standing to pass judgement on the people.	13 Il Signore sta a giudicare, sta a giudicare i popoli.
14 Yahweh is about to try the elders and the princes of his people, 'You are the ones who have ravagedthe vineyard, the spoils of the poor are in your houses.	14 Il Signore verrà a giudicare contro gli anziani e i principi del suo popolo: « Voi avete divorata la vigna e la rapina fatta al povero è in casa vostra.
15 By what right do you crush my people and grind the faces of the poor?' says the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth.	15 Perchè schiacciate il mio popolo e calpestate la faccia dei poveri, dice il Signore Dio degli eserciti? »
16 Yahweh says: Because Zion's daughters are proud and walk with heads held high and enticing eyes --with mincing steps they go, jingling the bangles on their feet-	16 Il Signore ha detto: « Siccome le figlie di Sion son divenute superbe e camminano a collo teso, ammiccando cogli occhi, e nel camminare fan brusìo coi loro piedi, e vanno a passi misurati,
17 the Lord will give Zion's daughters scabby heads, Yahweh will lay their foreheads bare.	17 il Signore renderà calva la testa delle figlie di Sion, il Signore farà sparire la loro chioma.
18 That day the Lord wil take away the ornamental chains, medallions, crescents,	18 In quel giorno il Signore toglierà l'ornamento dei calzari e le lunette,
19 pendants, bracelets, trinkets,	19 i vezzi, i monili, i braccialetti e le tiare,
20 diadems, ankle-chains, necklaces, scent bottles, amulets,	20 i diademi, gli anelli alle caviglie, le catenelle, i vasetti di odori, gli orecchini,
21 finger-rings, nose-rings,	21 e gli anelli e le gemme pendenti sulla fronte,
22 party dresses, cloaks, scarves, purses,	22 e le mute degli abiti e le mantellette, i veli e gli spilloni,
23 mirrors, linen clothes, turbans and mantillas.	23 gli specchi e i lini finissimi, le bende e i vestiti da estate.
24 Then, instead of perfume, a stink; instead of belt, a rope, instead of hair elaborately dressed, a shavenscalp, instead of gorgeous clothes, sacking round the waist, and brand marks instead of beauty.	24 Ed avranno, invece degli odori soavi, il fetore, per cintura una corda, invece di chiome arricciolate la calvizie, per fascia pettorale il cilizio.
25 Your men wil fal by the sword, your warriors in battle,	25 I tuoi uomini più belli cadranno sotto la spada e i tuoi forti in battaglia.
26 and her gates wil moan and mourn; she wil sit on the ground, deserted.	26 Le sue porte saran in tristezza e lutto, ed essa sederà desolata per terra.
