Isaiah 3

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Now the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth is about to deprive Jerusalem and Judah of resources and provisions --al reserves of food, al reserves of water-	1 Pues he aquí que el Señor Yahveh Sebaot está quitando de Jerusalén y de Judá todo sustento y apoyo: (todo sustento de pan y todo sustento de agua);
2 of hero, warrior, judge, prophet, diviner, elder,	2 el valiente y el guerrero, el juez y el profeta, el augur y el anciano,
3 captain, dignitary, counsellor, architect, soothsayer.	3 el jefe de escuadra y el favorito, el consejero, el sabio hechicero y el hábil encantador.
4 'I shal give them boys for princes, raw lads to rule over them.'	4 Les daré mozos por jefes, y mozalbetes les dominarán.
5 People will be il -treated by one another, each by his neighbour; the young wil insult the aged, and thelow, the respected.	5 Querrá mandar la gente, cada cual en cada cual, los unos a los otros y cada cual en su compañero. Se revolverá el mozo contra el anciano, y el vil contra el hombre de peso.
6 Yes, a man wil catch hold of his brother in their father's house, to say, 'You have a cloak, so you beleader, and rule this heap of ruins.'	6 Pues agarrará uno a su hermano al de su mismo apellido, diciéndole: «Túnica gastas: príncipe nuestro seas, toma a tu cargo esta ruina».
7 And, that day, the other wil protest, 'I am no healer; in my house there is neither food nor clothing; donot make me leader of the people.'	7 Pero el otro exclamará aquel día: «No seré vuestro médico; en mi casa no hay pan ni túnica: no me pongáis por príncipe del pueblo».
8 For Jerusalem has col apsed and Judah has fallen, because their words and deeds affront Yahweh andinsult his glorious gaze.	8 Así que tropezó Jerusalén, y Judá ha caído; pues sus lenguas y sus fechorías a Yahveh han llegado, irritando los ojos de su majestad.
9 Their complacency bears witness against them, they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not conceal it,al the worse for them, for they have hatched their own downfal .	9 La expresión de su rostro les denuncia, y sus pecados como Sodoma manifiestan, no se ocultan. ¡Ay de ellos, porque han merecido su propio mal!
10 Say, 'Blessed the upright, for he will feed on the fruit of his deeds;	10 Decid al justo que bien, que el fruto de sus acciones comerá.
11 woe to the wicked, it wil go il with him, for he will be treated as his actions deserve.'	11 ¡Ay del malvado! que le irá mal, que el mérito de sus manos se le dará.
12 O my people, their oppressors pil age them and extortioners rule over them! O my people, your rulersmislead you and efface the paths you ought to fol ow!	12 A mi pueblo le oprime un mozalbete, y mujeres le dominan. Pueblo mío, tus regidores vacilan y tus derroteros confunden.
13 Yahweh has risen to accuse, is standing to pass judgement on the people.	13 Se levanta a pleitear Yahveh y está en pie para juzgar a los pueblos.
14 Yahweh is about to try the elders and the princes of his people, 'You are the ones who have ravagedthe vineyard, the spoils of the poor are in your houses.	14 Yahveh demanda en juicio a los ancianos de su pueblo y a sus jefes. «Vosotros habéis incendiado la viña, el despojo del mísero tenéis en vuestras casas.
15 By what right do you crush my people and grind the faces of the poor?' says the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth.	15 Pero ¿qué os importa? Machacáis a mi pueblo y moléis el rostro de los pobres» - oráculo del Señor Yahveh Sebaot -.
16 Yahweh says: Because Zion's daughters are proud and walk with heads held high and enticing eyes --with mincing steps they go, jingling the bangles on their feet-	16 Dice Yahveh: «Por cuanto son altivas las hijas de Sión, y andan con el cuello estirado y guiñando los ojos, y andan a pasitos menudos, y con sus pies hacen tintinear las ajorcas»,
17 the Lord will give Zion's daughters scabby heads, Yahweh will lay their foreheads bare.	17 rapará el Señor el cráneo de las hijas de Sión, y Yahveh destapará su desnudez.
18 That day the Lord wil take away the ornamental chains, medallions, crescents,	18 Aquel día quitará el Señor el adorno de las ajorcas, los solecillos y las lunetas;
19 pendants, bracelets, trinkets,	19 los aljófares, las lentejuelas y los cascabeles;
20 diadems, ankle-chains, necklaces, scent bottles, amulets,	20 los peinados, las cadenillas de los pies, los ceñidores, los pomos de olor y los amuletos,
21 finger-rings, nose-rings,	21 los anillos y aretes de nariz;
22 party dresses, cloaks, scarves, purses,	22 los vestidos preciosos, los mantos, los chales, los bolsos,
23 mirrors, linen clothes, turbans and mantillas.	23 los espejos, las ropas finas, los turbantes y las mantillas.
24 Then, instead of perfume, a stink; instead of belt, a rope, instead of hair elaborately dressed, a shavenscalp, instead of gorgeous clothes, sacking round the waist, and brand marks instead of beauty.	24 Por debajo del bálsamo habrá hedor, por debajo de la faja, soga, por debajo de la peluca, rapadura, y por debajo del traje, refajo de arpillera. y por debajo de la hermosura, vergüenza.
25 Your men wil fal by the sword, your warriors in battle,	25 Tus gentes a espada caerán, y tus campeones en guerra.
26 and her gates wil moan and mourn; she wil sit on the ground, deserted.	26 Y darán ayes y se dolerán a las puertas, y tú, asolada, te sentarás por tierra.
