Isaiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.	1 Naquele dia o Senhor, armado com a sua espada dura, grande e forte, visitará Leviatan, essa serpente fugidia, Leviatan, essa serpente tortuosa, e matará o monstro que está no mar.
2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!	2 Naquele dia se dirá: Cantai a vinha que dá vinho puro.
3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.	3 Sou eu, o Senhor, que a guardo; eu a rego continuamente; para que não receba nenhum dano, eu a guardo de noite e de dia.
4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.	4 Não tenho indignação (contra ela). Quem me dará silvas e espinhos para combater? Marcharei contra eles, queimá-los-ei todos juntos, a não ser que se ponham debaixo da minha proteção, que façam a paz comigo, que façam comigo a paz.
5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.	5 Em dias futuros, Jacob lançará raízes, Israel florescerá, lançará rebentos e encherá de seus frutos a face finai de da terra.
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.	6 Porventura feriu-o (Deus) como feriu os seus opressores? Ou matou-o como aos que o matavam?
7 Has he struck him as he was struck by those who struck him? Has he murdered him as he wasmurdered by those who murdered him?	7 Pelo desterro o castigou, impelindo-o com o seu sopro impetuoso, como vento do Oriente
8 By expel ing, by excluding him, you have executed a sentence, he has blown him away with a breathas rough as the east wind.	8 Assim foi expiado o crime da casa de Jacob, e eis todo o fruto da expiação do seu pecado: pulverizou todas as pedras dos altares como pedras reduzidas a cinzas, e não se levantarão mais (ascherás) nem estelas do Sol.
9 For that is how Jacob's guilt wil be forgiven, such wil be the result of renouncing his sin, when al thealtar-stones have been smashed to pieces like lumps of chalk, when the sacred poles and incense-altars standno longer.	9 Porque a cidade forte foi assolada, despovoada e abandonada, como um deserto; nela pastam os bois, nela se deitam, e comem as pontas da sua verdura.
10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.	10 As ramagens secas partem-se, e vêm as mulheres e queimam-nas. É um povo sem inteligência: por isso, aquele que o fez não terá pena dele, não lhe fará mercê aquele que o formou.
11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.	11 E acontecerá que naquele dia o Senhor sacudirá o trigo desde o leito do rio (Eufrates) até à torrente do Egito; e vós, filhos de Israel, sereis congregados, um a um.
12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!	12 Também acontecerá que naquele dia soará uma grande trombeta e virão os que tinham ficado perdidos na terra dos Assírios, e os que se achavam desterrados na terra do Egito, e adorarão o Senhor no monte santo, em Jerusalém.
13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.
