Isaiah 27

1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.	1 In quel giorno il Signore colla sua spada tagliente, e grande, e forte farà vendetta di Leviathan grosso serpente, di Leviathan serpente tortuoso, e ucciderà la balena, che sta nel mare.
2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!	2 In quel di si canterà (un cantico) alla vigna del vino prelibato.
3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.	3 Son io il Signore, che la custodisco ed io assiduamente la irrigherò: perchè ella non sia danneggiata, di notte, e di giorno la custodisco.
4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.	4 Non è in me iracondia: Chi mi farà una spina, e un pruno? Le anderò io contro a farle guerra? Le metterò io anche il fuoco?
5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.	5 O piuttosto non ratterrà ella la mia possanza, farà pace a me, a me farà pace?
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.	6 Quelli, che con fervore vengono a trovar Giacobbe, faran fiorire, e pullulare Israele, e riempiranno tutta la terra di posterità.
7 Has he struck him as he was struck by those who struck him? Has he murdered him as he wasmurdered by those who murdered him?	7 Dio lo ha forse percosso, com'ei lo maltrattò? Od è egli stato ucciso, com'egli uccise i morti del Signore?
8 By expel ing, by excluding him, you have executed a sentence, he has blown him away with a breathas rough as the east wind.	8 Con misura rimisurata farai giudizio contro di lei quand'ella sarà rigettata. Egli ha fatte col suo spirito di rigore le sue risoluzioni pel dì dell'ardore.
9 For that is how Jacob's guilt wil be forgiven, such wil be the result of renouncing his sin, when al thealtar-stones have been smashed to pieces like lumps of chalk, when the sacred poles and incense-altars standno longer.	9 Per questo cosi sarà perdonata la sua iniquità alla casa di Giacobbe, e tutto il frutto è questo, che sia tolto il peccato di lei, quando (Dio) avrà ridotte tutte le pietre dell'altare come si stritolano le pietre ridotte in calcina, e aneleranno per terra i boschetti, e i templi profani.
10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.	10 Imperocché la città forte sarà desolata, la citta bella sarà abbandonata, e sarà lasciata vuota come un deserto: ivi pascerà il vitello, ed ivi si sdraierà, e mangerà le punte de' suoi tralci.
11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.	11 Le sue ricolte saranno guaste per la siccità. Verran delle donne a farla con lei da maestre. Imperocché questo popolo non è saggio; per questo colui, che lo fece, non né avrà misericordia; e colui, che lo formò, non gli perdonerà.
12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!	12 E in quel di il Signore farà sentire il suo flagello, dall'alveo del fiume fino al torrente di Egitto, e voi vi raunerete ad uno ad uno, o figliuoli d'Israele.
13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 E in quel dì suonerà una gran tromba, e verranno dalla terra degli Assiri gli esuli, e que' che erano stati gettati nella terra d'Egitto, e adoreranno il Signore sul monte santo di Gerusalemme.
