Isaiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.	1 Aquel día, el Señor castigará con su espada bien templada, grande y fuerte, a Leviatán, la Serpiente huidiza, a Leviatán, la Serpiente tortuosa, y matará al Dragón que está en el mar.
2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!	2 Aquel día, canten a la viña deliciosa.
3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.	3 Yo, el Señor, soy su guardián, la riego constantemente; para que nadie le haga daño, la cuido día y noche.
4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.	4 Ya no estoy enojado: aunque haya cardos y espinas iré a luchar contra ellos y los quemaré todos juntos,
5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.	5 A menos que se acojan a mi amparo, que hagan las paces conmigo: ¡sí que hagan las paces conmigo!
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.	6 En los días que vendrán, Jacob echará raíces, Israel florecerá, dará brotes, y llenará el mundo con sus frutos.
7 Has he struck him as he was struck by those who struck him? Has he murdered him as he wasmurdered by those who murdered him?	7 ¿Acaso el Señor lo ha golpeado como golpeó al que lo golpeaba? ¿Lo ha matado como mató a los que lo mataban?
8 By expel ing, by excluding him, you have executed a sentence, he has blown him away with a breathas rough as the east wind.	8 al expulsarlo, al despoblarlo, has concluido tu pleito con él. El lo arrolló con su soplo violento, en un día de viento del este.
9 For that is how Jacob's guilt wil be forgiven, such wil be the result of renouncing his sin, when al thealtar-stones have been smashed to pieces like lumps of chalk, when the sacred poles and incense-altars standno longer.	9 Así será expiada la iniquidad de Jacob, y este será el fruto de la remisión de su pecado; ¡él tratará todas las piedras de altar como piedra caliza que se tritura, los postes sagrados y los altares de incienso no quedarán en pie!
10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.	10 La plaza fuerte está solitaria, es un pastizal abierto, abandonado como el desierto. Allí va a pacer el ternero, allí se recuesta y deshoja las ramas.
11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.	11 al secarse, se quiebran las ramas, y vienen mujeres a prenderles fuego. Porque este es un pueblo sin inteligencia por eso su Creador no le tiene compasión. el que lo formó no se apiada de él.
12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!	12 Aquel día, el Señor trillará el grano desde el curso del Río hasta el Torrente de Egipto, y ustedes, israelitas, serán espigados uno por uno.
13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 Aquel día, sonará la gran trompeta, y vendrán los que estaban perdidos en el país de Asiria y los desterrados en el país de Egipto, para adorar al Señor sobre la santa Montaña, en Jerusalén.
