Isaiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.	1 - In quel giorno, il Signore, colla sua spada dura, grande e forte visiterà Leviathan, il serpente guizzante, Leviathan il serpente tortuoso, e ucciderà il mostro che è nel mare.
2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!	2 In quel giorno: Alla vigna dal vin [generoso], si canti:
3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.	3 «Sono io il Signore suo custode, ad ogni istante la irrigherò, che non vengano contro a visitarla, giorno e notte la custodisco.
4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.	4 Ira non è in me; chi mi darà armi a lei nemiche, spine e pruni? Marcerò su di essa, la metterò a fuoco tutta intera?
5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.	5 O non piuttosto si terrà stretta alla mia potenza, farà pace con me, farà pace con me?».
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.	6 [Nei giorni] che vengono, Giacobbe metterà radici, ed Israele rifiorirà e rigermoglierà, e riempiranno del loro seme la faccia del mondo.
7 Has he struck him as he was struck by those who struck him? Has he murdered him as he wasmurdered by those who murdered him?	7 Lo ha forse maltrattato coi maltrattamenti inflitti a chi lo maltrattava? O fu fatto morire come fece morire quei che lo mettevano a morte?
8 By expel ing, by excluding him, you have executed a sentence, he has blown him away with a breathas rough as the east wind.	8 In misura rimisurata la punirai gettandola nell'esilio; meditò di travolgerla nel suo soffio impetuoso con una giornata di vento sciroccale.
9 For that is how Jacob's guilt wil be forgiven, such wil be the result of renouncing his sin, when al thealtar-stones have been smashed to pieces like lumps of chalk, when the sacred poles and incense-altars standno longer.	9 Però con questo sarà rimessa l'iniquità alla casa di Giacobbe, e tutto il frutto sarà questo, che il peccato di Israele sia tolto via; quando Dio avrà ridotto tutte le pietre dell'altare in polvere come pietre da calce; non sorgeranno più mai nè boschi, nè are.
10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.	10 Perchè la città forte sarà desolata, quella amena sarà nell'abbandono e lasciata come un deserto: ivi pascerà il vitello, ivi si sdraierà e brucherà le punte dei suoi arboscelli.
11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.	11 Le sue mèssi dal secco saranno guastate, le donne verranno ad abbruciarle perchè non è un popolo che capisce, e perciò colui che lo fece non ne avrà misericordia, colui che lo formò non gli perdonerà.
12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!	12 E avverrà in quel giorno che il Signore farà l'abbacchiatura dall'alveo del Fiume fino al Torrente di Egitto; e voi sarete raccolti uno ad uno, o figli d'Israele.
13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 Giorno verrà, che si sonerà con una gran tromba, e quelli che erano sperduti nella terra degli Assiri e gettati nell'esilio della terra d'Egitto torneranno, e adoreranno il Signore sul monte santo in Gerusalemme.
