Isaiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.	1 In quel giorno il Signore visiterà colla sua spada dura, grande e forte il Leviatan, l'agile serpente, il Leviatan, serpente tortuoso, e ucciderà il Mostro del mare.
2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!	2 In quel giorno « Vigna di vino prelibato — canterà a lei —
3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.	3 son io, il Signore, che la guardo, spesso la irrigherò, perchè non v'entrino a danneggiarla, la custodisco notte e giorno.
4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.	4 Io non son più indignato. Chi mi farà spina e rovo nella battaglia? Andrò sopra di lei a bruciarla tutta?
5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.	5 O non piuttosto tratterrà essa la mia potenza, farà pace con me, farà pace con me?
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.	6 Coloro che entrano con entusiasmo in Giacobbe faran fiorire e pullulare Israele, e riempiranno tutto il mondo di prole.

10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.	10 La citta forte sarà desolata, la bella città sarà abbandonata, lasciata come il deserto: vi andrà a pascolare il vitello, vi si sdraierà e ne brucherà i rami.
11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.	11 Dalla siccità saran rovinate le sue raccolte, le donne verranno a istruirla. Non essendo saggio questo popolo, chi lo fece non ne avrà compassione, non lo risparmierà chi l'ha formato.
12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!	12 E in quel giorno il Signore farà sentire il flagello dal letto del fiume al torrente d'Egitto, e vi iadunerete a uno a uno, o figli d'Israele.
13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 In quel giorno sonerà una gran tromba, e verranno i dispersi dalla terra d'Assiria e i banditi nella terra dell'Egitto, e adoreranno il Signore sul monte santo, a Gerusalemme.
