Isaiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.	1 IN quel giorno il Signore farà punizione, con la sua dura, grande, e forte spada, di Leviatan, serpente guizzante, e di Leviatan, serpente torto; ed ucciderà la balena che è nel mare.
2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!	2 In quel giorno, cantate della vigna del vin vermiglio.
3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.	3 Io, il Signore, la guardo; io l’adacquerò ad ogni momento; io la guarderò giorno e notte, acciocchè niun la danneggi.
4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.	4 Niuna ira è in me. Chi metterà in battaglia contro a me vepri e pruni? io li calcherò, e li abbrucerò tutti quanti.
5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.	5 Arresterebbe alcuno la mia forza? faccia pur pace meco, faccia pur pace meco.
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.	6 Ne’ giorni a venire Giacobbe metterà radice, Israele fiorirà, e germoglierà; ed empieranno di frutto la faccia del mondo
7 Has he struck him as he was struck by those who struck him? Has he murdered him as he wasmurdered by those who murdered him?	7 L’ha egli percosso secondo le percosse di quelli ch’egli percuote? è egli stato ucciso secondo l’uccisione di quelli ch’egli uccide?
8 By expel ing, by excluding him, you have executed a sentence, he has blown him away with a breathas rough as the east wind.	8 Tu contenderai con lei con misura, quando tu la manderai via; egli l’ha cacciata col suo vento impetuoso, nel giorno del vento orientale.
9 For that is how Jacob's guilt wil be forgiven, such wil be the result of renouncing his sin, when al thealtar-stones have been smashed to pieces like lumps of chalk, when the sacred poles and incense-altars standno longer.	9 In questo modo adunque sarà purgata l’iniquità di Giacobbe, e questo sarà tutto il frutto; cioè: che il suo peccato sarà tolto via, quando egli avrà ridotte tutte le pietre degli altari come pietre di calcina stritolate; ed i boschi e le statue non saranno più in piè.
10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.	10 Perciocchè le città forti saranno solitarie, e le case saranno abbandonate, e lasciate come un deserto; ivi pasturerà il vitello, ed ivi giacerà, e mangerà interamente i rami che vi saranno.
11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.	11 Quando i rami che vi saranno, saranno secchi, saranno rotti, e le donne verranno, e li arderanno; conciossiachè questo popolo non sia un popolo d’intendimento; perciò colui che l’ha fatto non ne avrà pietà, e colui che l’ha formato non ne avrà mercè.
12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!	12 In quel giorno adunque avverrà che il Signore scoterà dal letto del fiume, fino al torrente di Egitto; e voi, figliuoli d’Israele, sarete raccolti ad uno ad uno.
13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 Ma in quel giorno avverrà che si sonerà con una gran tromba, e quelli ch’erano stati perduti nel paese di Assiria, e quelli ch’erano stati scacciati nel paese di Egitto verranno, e adoreranno il Signore, nel monte santo, in Gerusalemme
