Psalms 97

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice, the many isles be glad!	1 יְהוָה מָלָךְ תָּגֵל הָאָרֶץ יִשְׂמְחוּ אִיִּים רַבִּים
2 Cloud, black cloud enfolds him, saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.	2 עָנָן וַעֲרָפֶל סְבִיבָיו צֶדֶק וּמִשְׁפָּט מְכֹון כִּסְאֹו
3 Fire goes before him, sets ablaze his enemies al around;	3 אֵשׁ לְפָנָיו תֵּלֵךְ וּתְלַהֵט סָבִיב צָרָיו
4 his lightning-flashes light up the world, the earth sees it and quakes.	4 הֵאִירוּ בְרָקָיו תֵּבֵל רָאֲתָה וַתָּחֵל הָאָרֶץ
5 The mountains melt like wax, before the Lord of all the earth.	5 הָרִים כַּדֹּונַג נָמַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵי יְהוָה מִלִּפְנֵי אֲדֹון כָּל־הָאָרֶץ
6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, all nations see his glory.	6 הִגִּידוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם צִדְקֹו וְרָאוּ כָל־הָעַמִּים כְּבֹודֹו
7 Shame on all who serve images, who pride themselves on their idols; bow down to him, al you gods!	7 יֵבֹשׁוּ ׀ כָּל־עֹבְדֵי פֶסֶל הַמִּתְהַלְלִים בָּאֱלִילִים הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לֹו כָּל־אֱלֹהִים
8 Zion hears and is glad, the daughters of Judah exult, because of your judgements, Yahweh.	8 שָׁמְעָה וַתִּשְׂמַח ׀ צִיֹּון וַתָּגֵלְנָה בְּנֹות יְהוּדָה לְמַעַן מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יְהוָה
9 For you are Yahweh, Most High over al the earth, far transcending al gods.	9 כִּי־אַתָּה יְהוָה עֶלְיֹון עַל־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ מְאֹד נַעֲלֵיתָ עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִים
10 Yahweh loves those who hate evil, he keeps safe his faithful, rescues them from the clutches of thewicked.	10 אֹהֲבֵי יְהוָה שִׂנְאוּ רָע מֵר נַפְשֹׁות חֲסִידָיו מִיַּד רְשָׁעִים יַצִּילֵם
11 Light dawns for the upright, and joy for honest hearts.	11 אֹור זָרֻעַ לַצַּדִּיק וּלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב שִׂמְחָה
12 Rejoice in Yahweh, you who are upright, praise his unforgettable holiness.	12 שִׂמְחוּ צַדִּיקִים בַּיהוָה וְהֹודוּ לְזֵכֶר קָדְשֹׁו
