Psalms 97

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice, the many isles be glad!	1 ¡El Señor reina! Alégrese la tierra, regocíjense las islas incontables.
2 Cloud, black cloud enfolds him, saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.	2 Nubes y Tinieblas lo rodean, la Justicia y el Derecho son la base de su trono.
3 Fire goes before him, sets ablaze his enemies al around;	3 Un fuego avanza ante él y abrasa a los enemigos a su paso;
4 his lightning-flashes light up the world, the earth sees it and quakes.	4 sus relámpagos iluminan el mundo; al verlo, la tierra se estremece.
5 The mountains melt like wax, before the Lord of all the earth.	5 Las montañas se derriten como cera delante del Señor, que es el dueño de toda la tierra.
6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, all nations see his glory.	6 Los cielos proclaman su justicia y todos los pueblos contemplan su gloria.
7 Shame on all who serve images, who pride themselves on their idols; bow down to him, al you gods!	7 Se avergüenzan los que sirven a los ídolos, los que se glorían en dioses falsos; todos los dioses se postran ante él.
8 Zion hears and is glad, the daughters of Judah exult, because of your judgements, Yahweh.	8 Sión escucha y se llena de alegría, se regocijan las ciudades de Judá, a causa de tus juicios, Señor.
9 For you are Yahweh, Most High over al the earth, far transcending al gods.	9 Porque tú, Señor, eres el Altísimo: estás por encima de toda la tierra, mucho más alto que todos los dioses.
10 Yahweh loves those who hate evil, he keeps safe his faithful, rescues them from the clutches of thewicked.	10 Tú amas, Señor, a los que odian el mal, proteges la vida de tus fieles y los libras del poder de los malvados.
11 Light dawns for the upright, and joy for honest hearts.	11 Nace la luz para el justo, y la alegría para los rectos de corazón.
12 Rejoice in Yahweh, you who are upright, praise his unforgettable holiness.	12 Alégrense, justos, en el Señor y alaben su santo Nombre.
