Psalms 95

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Come, let us cry out with joy to Yahweh, acclaim the rock of our salvation.	1 - Cantico di David: quando era edificata la casa [di Dio], dopo la schiavitù. Cantate al Signore un cantico nuovo, cantate al Signore o [abitanti della] terra tutta.
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving, acclaim him with music.	2 Cantate al Signore e benedite il suo nome, annunziate ogni giorno la sua salvezza.
3 For Yahweh is a great God, a king greater than al the gods.	3 Bandite tra le Genti la sua gloria, in tutti i popoli le sue meraviglie.
4 In his power are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are his;	4 Perchè grande è il Signore e degno sommamente di lode, terribile è sovra tutti gli dèi.
5 the sea belongs to him, for he made it, and the dry land, moulded by his hands.	5 Perchè tutti gli dèi delle genti son demoni, ma il Signore ha fatto i cieli!
6 Come, let us bow low and do reverence; kneel before Yahweh who made us!	6 Lode e decoro son dinanzi a lui, santità e splendore nel suo santuario.
7 For he is our God, and we the people of his sheepfold, the flock of his hand. If only you would listen tohim today!	7 Portate al Signore, o famiglie de' popoli, portate al Signore e gloria e onore;
8 Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as at the time of Massah in the desert,	8 portate al Signore la gloria [dovuta] al suo nome, prendete le vittime ed entrate ne' suoi atrii.
9 when your ancestors chal enged me, put me to the test, and saw what I could do!	9 Adorate il Signore nel santo suo atrio: tremi al suo cospetto tutta la terra.
10 For forty years that generation sickened me, and I said, 'Always fickle hearts; they cannot grasp myways.'	10 Dite tra le genti: «Il Signore regna! Ha stabilito il mondo, sì che non vacilli, giudicherà i popoli con equità».
11 Then in my anger I swore they would never enter my place of rest.	11 Si rallegrino i cieli ed esulti la terra, si commuova il mare e quanto esso contiene,
	12 gioiscano i campi e tuttociò ch'è in essi. Esulteranno allora tutti gli alberi delle selve
	13 al cospetto del Signore, poichè egli viene, viene a giudicar la terra. Giudicherà il mondo con giustizia e i popoli con la sua fedeltà.
