1 [Psalm Of David In commemoration] Yahweh, do not correct me in anger, do not discipline me inwrath.	1 Salmo. Di Davide. Per fare memoria.
2 For your arrows have pierced deep into me, your hand has pressed down upon me.	2 Signore, non punirmi nella tua collera,non castigarmi nel tuo furore.
3 Your indignation has left no part of me unscathed, my sin has left no health in my bones.	3 Le tue frecce mi hanno trafitto,la tua mano mi schiaccia.
4 My sins stand higher than my head, they weigh on me as an unbearable weight.	4 Per il tuo sdegno, nella mia carne non c’è nulla di sano,nulla è intatto nelle mie ossa per il mio peccato.
5 I have stinking, festering wounds, thanks to my fol y.	5 Le mie colpe hanno superato il mio capo,sono un carico per me troppo pesante.
6 I am twisted and bent double, I spend my days in gloom.	6 Fetide e purulente sono le mie piaghea causa della mia stoltezza.
7 My loins burn with fever, no part of me is unscathed.	7 Sono tutto curvo e accasciato,triste mi aggiro tutto il giorno.
8 Numbed and utterly crushed I groan in distress of heart.	8 Sono tutti infiammati i miei fianchi,nella mia carne non c’è più nulla di sano.
9 Lord, all my longing is known to you, my sighing no secret from you,	9 Sfinito e avvilito all’estremo,ruggisco per il fremito del mio cuore.
10 my heart is throbbing, my strength has failed, the light has gone out of my eyes.	10 Signore, è davanti a te ogni mio desiderioe il mio gemito non ti è nascosto.
11 Friends and companions shun my disease, even the dearest of them keep their distance.	11 Palpita il mio cuore, le forze mi abbandonano,non mi resta neppure la luce degli occhi.
12 Those with designs on my life lay snares, those who wish me ill speak of violence and hatchtreachery all day long.	12 I miei amici e i miei compagnisi scostano dalle mie piaghe,i miei vicini stanno a distanza.
13 But I hear nothing, as though I were deaf, as though dumb, saying not a word.	13 Tendono agguati quelli che attentano alla mia vita,quelli che cercano la mia rovina tramano insidiee tutto il giorno studiano inganni.
14 I am like the one who, hearing nothing, has no sharp answer to make.	14 Io come un sordo non ascoltoe come un muto non apro la bocca;
15 For in you, Yahweh, I put my hope, you, Lord my God, wil give answer.	15 sono come un uomo che non sentee non vuole rispondere.
16 I said, 'Never let them gloat over me, do not let them take advantage of me if my foot slips.'	16 Perché io attendo te, Signore;tu risponderai, Signore, mio Dio.
17 There is no escape for me from fal ing, no relief from my misery.	17 Avevo detto: «Non ridano di me!Quando il mio piede vacilla,non si facciano grandi su di me!».
18 But I make no secret of my guilt, I am anxious at the thought of my sin.	18 Ecco, io sto per caderee ho sempre dinanzi la mia pena.
19 There is no numbering those who oppose me without cause, no counting those who hate meunprovoked,	19 Ecco, io confesso la mia colpa,sono in ansia per il mio peccato.
20 repaying me evil for good, slandering me for trying to do them good.	20 I miei nemici sono vivi e forti,troppi mi odiano senza motivo:
21 Yahweh, do not desert me, my God, do not stand aloof from me.	21 mi rendono male per bene,mi accusano perché cerco il bene.
22 Come quickly to my help, Lord, my Saviour!	22 Non abbandonarmi, Signore,Dio mio, da me non stare lontano;
	23 vieni presto in mio aiuto,Signore, mia salvezza.
