Psalms 122

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 [Song of Ascents Of David] I rejoiced that they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh.'	1 שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלֹות לְדָוִד מַחְתִּי בְּאֹמְרִים לִי בֵּית יְהוָה נֵלֵךְ
2 At last our feet are standing at your gates, Jerusalem!	2 עֹמְדֹות הָיוּ רַגְלֵינוּ בִּשְׁעָרַיִךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, in one united whole,	3 יְרוּשָׁלִַם הַבְּנוּיָה כְּעִיר שֶׁחֻבְּרָה־לָּהּ יַחְדָּו
4 there the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, a sign for Israel to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.	4 שֶׁשָּׁם עָלוּ שְׁבָטִים שִׁבְטֵי־יָהּ עֵדוּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְהֹדֹות לְשֵׁם יְהוָה
5 For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.	5 כִּי שָׁמָּה ׀ יָשְׁבוּ כִסְאֹות לְמִשְׁפָּט כִּסְאֹות לְבֵית דָּוִיד
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for your homes!	6 אֲלוּ שְׁלֹום יְרוּשָׁלִָם יִשְׁלָיוּ אֹהֲבָיִךְ
7 Peace within your wal s, prosperity in your palaces!	7 יְהִי־שָׁלֹום בְּחֵילֵךְ לְוָה בְּאַרְמְנֹותָיִךְ
8 For love of my brothers and my friends I wil say, 'Peace upon you!'	8 לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּא שָׁלֹום בָּךְ
9 For love of the house of Yahweh our God I wil pray for your wel -being.	9 לְמַעַן בֵּית־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲבַקְשָׁה טֹוב לָךְ
