Psalms 122

NEW JERUSALEM	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 [Song of Ascents Of David] I rejoiced that they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh.'	1 I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.
2 At last our feet are standing at your gates, Jerusalem!	2 My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, in one united whole,	3 May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.
4 there the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, a sign for Israel to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.	4 Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.
5 For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.	5 The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for your homes!	6 The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.
7 Peace within your wal s, prosperity in your palaces!	7 The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.
8 For love of my brothers and my friends I wil say, 'Peace upon you!'	8 May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.
9 For love of the house of Yahweh our God I wil pray for your wel -being.
