Psalms 122

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 [Song of Ascents Of David] I rejoiced that they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh.'	1 Canticum ascensionum. David. Laetatus sum in eo, quod dixerunt mihi: “ In domum Domini ibimus ”.
2 At last our feet are standing at your gates, Jerusalem!	2 Stantes iam sunt pedes nostri in portis tuis, Ierusalem.
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, in one united whole,	3 Ierusalem, quae aedificata est ut civitas, sibi compacta in idipsum.
4 there the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, a sign for Israel to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.	4 Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini, testimonium Israel, ad confitendum nomini Domini.
5 For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Quia illic sederunt sedes ad iudicium, sedes domus David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for your homes!	6 Rogate, quae ad pacem sunt Ierusalem: “ Securi sint diligentes te!
7 Peace within your wal s, prosperity in your palaces!	7 Fiat pax in muris tuis, et securitas in turribus tuis! ”.
8 For love of my brothers and my friends I wil say, 'Peace upon you!'	8 Propter fratres meos et proximos meos loquar: “ Pax in te! ”.
9 For love of the house of Yahweh our God I wil pray for your wel -being.	9 Propter domum Domini Dei nostri exquiram bona tibi.
