NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Song of Ascents Of David] I rejoiced that they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh.'	1 Canto de peregrinación. De David. ¡Qué alegría cuando me dijeron: «Vamos a la Casa del Señor»!
2 At last our feet are standing at your gates, Jerusalem!	2 Nuestros pies ya están pisando tus umbrales, Jerusalén.
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, in one united whole,	3 Jerusalén, que fuiste construida como ciudad bien compacta y armoniosa.
4 there the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, a sign for Israel to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.	4 Allí suben las tribus, las tribus del Señor –según es norma en Israel– para celebrar el nombre del Señor.
5 For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Porque allí está el trono de la justicia, el trono de la casa de David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for your homes!	6 Auguren la paz a Jerusalén: «¡Vivan seguros los que te aman!
7 Peace within your wal s, prosperity in your palaces!	7 ¡Haya paz en tus muros y seguridad en tus palacios!».
8 For love of my brothers and my friends I wil say, 'Peace upon you!'	8 Por amor a mis hermanos y amigos, diré: «La paz esté contigo».
9 For love of the house of Yahweh our God I wil pray for your wel -being.	9 Por amor a la Casa del Señor, nuestro Dios, buscaré tu felicidad.
