1 [Song of Ascents Of David] I rejoiced that they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh.'	1 Canto delle ascensioni. Di Davide. Mi rallegrai quando mi dissero: "Andremo alla casa del Signore".
2 At last our feet are standing at your gates, Jerusalem!	2 E ora i nostri piedi sono nell'interno delle tue porte, Gerusalemme!
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, in one united whole,	3 Gerusalemme costruita come città, in sé ben compatta!
4 there the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, a sign for Israel to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.	4 Là salivano le tribù, le tribù del Signore, secondo il precetto dato a Israele di lodarvi il nome del Signore.
5 For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Sì, là s'ergevano i seggi del giudizio, i seggi della casa di Davide.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for your homes!	6 Augurate la pace a Gerusalemme: vivano in prosperità quanti ti amano!
7 Peace within your wal s, prosperity in your palaces!	7 Sia pace fra le tue mura, prosperità fra i tuoi palazzi.
8 For love of my brothers and my friends I wil say, 'Peace upon you!'	8 Per amore dei miei fratelli e amici dirò: Sia pace in te! Per amore della casa del Signore, nostro Dio, chiederò: Sia bene per te!
9 For love of the house of Yahweh our God I wil pray for your wel -being.
