Job 37

1 At this, my very heart quakes and leaps out of its place.	1 Az én szívem is megremeg miatta és felriad helyéről.
2 Listen, oh listen, to the blast of his voice and the sound that issues from his mouth.	2 Halljátok csak hangja dörgését, s a morajt, amely szájából kijön!
3 His lightning is hurled across the heaven, it strikes to the extremities of earth.	3 Kiengedi az egész ég alatt, és villámát a föld szélei fölött;
4 After it comes a roaring sound, God thunders with majestic voice. He does not check his thunderboltsuntil his voice resounds no more.	4 utána hangja bömböl, ő zeng fölséges szavával, és nem tartja azt vissza, amikor hangja megzendül.

15 Do you know how God controls them or how his clouds make the lightning flash?	15 Érted-e, hogyan rendelkezik Isten az esővel, hogy villogtassa felhője fényét?
16 Do you know how he balances the clouds -- a miracle of consummate skil ?	16 Érted-e a felhő nagy útjait, a tudásban Tökéletesnek csodáit?
17 When your clothes are hot to your body and the earth lies stil under the south wind,	17 Nemde ruháid melegek, amikor a földet megfújja a déli szél!
18 can you, like him, stretch out the sky, tempered like a mirror of cast metal?	18 Talán vele együtt te feszíted ki az egeket, amelyek szilárdak, mintha ércből lennének öntve?
19 Teach me what we should say to him: but better discuss no further, since we are in the dark.	19 Jelentsd meg nekünk, mit mondjunk neki! Mert mi sötétségtől vagyunk körülvéve!
20 Does he take note when I speak? When human beings give orders, does he take it in?	20 Ki mondhatja neki, hogy ‘beszélni akarok’? Ha mondaná is valaki, bizony megsemmisülne!
21 There are times when the light vanishes, behind darkening clouds; then comes the wind, sweepingthem away.	21 De most sohasem látott fény ragyog föl hirtelen az ég felhőiben, és szél kerekedik, amely elhajtja azokat;
22 and brightness spreads from the north. God is clothed in fearful splendour:	22 aranyos fény jő észak felől, félelmetes dicsfény van Isten körül.
23 he, Shaddai, is far beyond our reach. Supreme in power, in equity, excel ing in saving justice, yet nooppressor-	23 A Mindenható, akit nem tudunk méltóképpen felfogni! Nagy ő erőben és igazságban, igazságos nagyon, akit nem lehet leírni!
24 no wonder then that people fear him: everyone thoughtful holds him in awe!	24 Ezért félnek tőle az emberek! Nem mernek rátekinteni mind, akik bölcseknek tartják magukat!«
