1 Chronicles 14

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, with cedar wood, stone-cutters and carpenters, to build hima palace.	1 وارسل حيرام ملك صور رسلا الى داود وخشب ارز وبنائين ونجارين ليبنوا له بيتا.
2 David then knew that Yahweh had confirmed him as king of Israel and, for the sake of his people, hadextended his sovereignty.	2 وعلم داود ان الرب قد اثبته ملكا على اسرائيل لان مملكته ارتفعت متصاعدة من اجل شعبه اسرائيل
3 David took more wives in Jerusalem and fathered more sons and daughters.	3 واخذ داود نساء ايضا في اورشليم وولد ايضا داود بنين وبنات
4 These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,	4 وهذه اسماء الاولاد الذين كانوا له في اورشليم. شمّوع وشوباب وناثان وسليمان
5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,	5 ويبحار واليشوع والفالط
6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,	6 ونوجه ونافج ويافيع
7 Elishama, Beeliada, Eliphelet.	7 واليشمع وبعلياداع واليفلط
8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed as king of al Israel, they al invaded to seekhim out. On hearing this, David marched out towards them.	8 وسمع الفلسطينيون ان داود قد مسح ملكا على كل اسرائيل فصعد كل الفلسطينيين ليفتشوا على داود. ولما سمع داود خرج لاستقبالهم.
9 When the Philistines arrived, they deployed in the Val ey of the Rephaim.	9 فجاء الفلسطينيون وانتشروا في وادي الرفائيين.
10 David consulted God and asked, 'Shall I attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my power?'Yahweh replied to him, 'Attack! I shal deliver them into your power.'	10 فسأل داود من الله قائلا أأصعد على الفلسطينيين فتدفعهم ليدي. فقال له الرب اصعد فادفعهم ليدك.
11 Accordingly, they went up to Baal-Perazim and there David defeated them. David said, 'Through meGod has made a breach in my enemies, as though they had been breached by a flood.' This is why the placewas given the name Baal-Perazim.	11 فصعدوا الى بعل فراصيم وضربهم داود هناك. وقال داود قد اقتحم الله اعدائي بيدي كاقتحام المياه. لذلك دعوا اسم ذلك الموضع بعل فراصيم.
12 They had left their gods behind there, and David ordered them to be burnt.	12 وتركوا هناك آلهتهم فامر داود فأحرقت بالنار.
13 Again the Philistines deployed in the valley.	13 ثم عاد الفلسطينيون ايضا وانتشروا في الوادي.
14 David again consulted God, and God replied, 'Do not attack them from the front; go round andengage them opposite the balsam trees.	14 فسأل ايضا داود من الله فقال له الله لا تصعد وراءهم تحوّل عنهم وهلم عليهم مقابل اشجار البكا.
15 When you hear the sound of footsteps in the tops of the balsam trees, launch your attack, for that willbe God going out ahead of you to defeat the Philistine army.'	15 وعندما تسمع صوت خطوات في رؤوس اشجار البكا فاخرج حينئذ للحرب لان الله يخرج امامك لضرب محلّة الفلسطينيين.
16 David did as God had ordered, and they beat the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.	16 ففعل داود كما امره الله وضربوا محلّة الفلسطينيين من جبعون الى جازر
17 David's fame then spread to every country, and Yahweh made him feared by every nation.	17 وخرج اسم داود الى جميع الاراضي وجعل الرب هيبته على جميع الامم
