Genesis 9

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, 'Breed, multiply and fil the earth.	1 Ezután Isten megáldotta Noét és fiait, és azt mondta nekik: »Szaporodjatok, sokasodjatok és töltsétek be a földet!
2 Be the terror and the dread of al the animals on land and al the birds of heaven, of everything thatmoves on land and all the fish of the sea; they are placed in your hands.	2 Féljen és rettegjen titeket a föld minden állata, az ég minden madara, és minden, ami mozog a földön; a tenger minden halát is kezetekbe adtam!
3 Every living thing that moves wil be yours to eat, no less than the foliage of the plants. I give youeverything,	3 Minden, ami mozog és él, eledelül szolgáljon nektek: mint a zöld növényzetet, íme, ezeket is mind odaadtam nektek,
4 with this exception: you must not eat flesh with life, that is to say blood, in it.	4 csak a húst a vérével ne egyétek.
5 And I shal demand account of your life-blood, too. I shall demand it of every animal, and of man. Ofman as regards his fel ow-man, I shal demand account for human life.	5 A ti életetek vérét is számon kérem minden állattól és az embertől: számon kérem az ember életét az embertől, a testvérétől.
6 He who sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God was mancreated.	6 Aki embervért ont, ember ontsa ki annak vérét, mert az ember Isten képére alkottatott.
7 Be fruitful then and multiply, teem over the earth and subdue it!'	7 Ti pedig szaporodjatok és sokasodjatok: járjatok-keljetek a földön, és uralkodjatok rajta!«
8 God spoke as fol ows to Noah and his sons,	8 Majd ezt mondta Isten Noénak, s vele fiainak:
9 'I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants to come,	9 »Íme, szövetséget kötök veletek és utódaitokkal,
10 and with every living creature that was with you: birds, cattle and every wild animal with you;everything that came out of the ark, every living thing on earth.	10 és minden élőlénnyel, amely veletek van, a madarakkal, a lábasjószággal és a mező minden vadjával, amely kijött a bárkából, s a föld minden állatával.
11 And I shal maintain my covenant with you: that never again shal all living things be destroyed by thewaters of a flood, nor shal there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.'	11 Szövetséget kötök veletek, hogy nem pusztul el többé minden test az özönvíz által, s nem lesz többé vízözön, amely elpusztítja a földet.«
12 'And this', God said, 'is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and everyliving creature with you for al ages to come:	12 Azután Isten azt mondta: »Ez lesz a jele annak a szövetségnek, amelyet megkötök velem és veletek, és minden élőlénnyel, amely veletek van, örök időkre:
13 I now set my bow in the clouds and it wil be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.	13 szivárványomat a felhőkbe helyezem, s az lesz a jele a szövetségnek közöttem és a föld között.
14 When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds,	14 Amikor ugyanis felhőkbe borítom az eget, feltűnik a felhőkben szivárványom,
15 I shal recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word al living things,and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy al living things.	15 és megemlékezem szövetségemről, amelyet veletek kötöttem, és az összes testet éltető élő lélekkel kötöttem, s nem lesz többé özönvíz, hogy eltöröljön minden testet.
16 When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God andevery living creature on earth, that is, al living things.'	16 A felhőkben lesz tehát a szivárvány, s én látni fogom, és megemlékezem arról az örök szövetségről, amely Isten között és a földön lévő minden testet éltető lélek között létrejött.«
17 'That', God told Noah, 'is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and al livingthings on earth.'	17 Majd azt mondta Isten Noénak: »Ez lesz a jele annak a szövetségnek, amelyet közöttem és a földön levő minden test között szereztem.«
18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth-Ham being the father ofCanaan.	18 Noé fiai tehát, akik a bárkából kijöttek, Szem, Kám és Jáfet voltak; Kám ősatyja lett Kánaánnak.
19 These three were Noah's sons, and from these the whole earth was peopled.	19 Ők hárman voltak Noé fiai, s ezektől terjedt el minden emberi nemzetség az egész földön.
20 Noah, a til er of the soil, was the first to plant the vine.	20 Noé aztán, mint földművelő ember, elkezdett szőlőt ültetni.
21 He drank some of the wine, and while he was drunk, he lay uncovered in his tent.	21 Ivott a borból, lerészegedett, és meztelenül feküdt a sátrában.
22 Ham, father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside.	22 Amikor ezt Kánaán apja, Kám meglátta, azt ugyanis, hogy apja szemérme ki van takarva, hírül adta kint levő két testvérének.
23 Shem and Japheth took a cloak and they both put it over their shoulders, and walking backwards,covered their father's nakedness; they kept their faces turned away, and they did not look at their father naked.	23 Ám Szem és Jáfet vállukra terítették a palástot, és hátrafelé haladva betakarták apjuk szemérmét. Arcukat elfordították, így nem látták apjuk szégyenét.
24 When Noah awoke from his stupor he learned what his youngest son had done to him,	24 Amikor aztán Noé felébredt a részegségből, s megtudta, mit tett vele a kisebbik fia,
25 and said: Accursed be Canaan, he shal be his brothers' meanest slave.	25 így szólt: »Átkozott legyen Kánaán, legyen utolsó szolgája testvéreinek!«
26 He added: Blessed be Yahweh, God of Shem, let Canaan be his slave!	26 Majd ezt mondta: »Áldott legyen az Úr, Szem Istene, és legyen Kánaán a szolgája!
27 May God make space for Japheth, may he live in the tents of Shem, and let Canaan be his slave!	27 Terjessze ki Isten Jáfetet, lakozzék Szem sátraiban, s Kánaán legyen a szolgája!«
28 After the flood Noah lived three hundred and fifty years.	28 Noé a vízözön után háromszázötven esztendeig élt még.
29 In al , Noah's life lasted nine hundred and fifty years; then he died.	29 Aztán beteltek napjai, amelyek összesen kilencszázötven esztendőt tettek ki, és meghalt.
