Philippians 4

1 Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.	1 Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren, and most desired, my joy and my crown; so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to come to a mutual understanding in the Lord.	2 I beg of Evodia, and I beseech Syntyche, to be of one mind in the Lord.
3 Yes, and I ask you also, my true yokemate, to help them, for they have struggled at my side in promoting the gospel, along with Clement and my other co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.	3 And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!	4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice.
5 Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near.	5 Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh.
6 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.	6 Be nothing solicitous; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God.
7 Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.	7 And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.	8 For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things.
9 Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.	9 The things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these do ye, and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 I rejoice greatly in the Lord that now at last you revived your concern for me. You were, of course, concerned about me but lacked an opportunity.	10 Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied.
11 Not that I say this because of need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I find myself, to be self-sufficient.	11 I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith.
12 I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need.	12 I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: (everywhere, and in all things I am instructed) both to be full, and to be hungry; both to abound, and to suffer need.
13 I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.	13 I can do all these things in him who strengtheneth me.
14 Still, it was kind of you to share in my distress.	14 Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation.
15 You Philippians indeed know that at the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, not a single church shared with me in an account of giving and receiving, except you alone.	15 And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only:
16 For even when I was at Thessalonica you sent me something for my needs, not only once but more than once.	16 For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use.
17 It is not that I am eager for the gift; rather, I am eager for the profit that accrues to your account.	17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account.
18 I have received full payment and I abound. I am very well supplied because of what I received from you through Epaphroditus, "a fragrant aroma," an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.	18 But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
19 My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.	19 And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen.	20 Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen.
21 Give my greetings to every holy one in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their greetings;	21 Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus.
22 all the holy ones send you their greetings, especially those of Caesar's household.	22 The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.	23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
