1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Der Herr sprach zu Moses:
2 "Give the Israelites this order: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the territory that shall fall to you as your heritage--the land of Canaan with its boundaries:	2 "Befiehl den Israeliten und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr in das Land Kanaan kommt, so sei dies das Gebiet, das euch als Erbbesitz zufällt: das Land Kanaan entsprechend seinen Grenzen.
3 "Your southern boundary shall be at the desert of Zin along the border of Edom; on the east it shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea,	3 Eure Südseite gehe von der Wüste Zin an Edom entlang, so daß eure Südgrenze im Osten vom Südende des Salzmeeres ausgeht.
4 and turning south of the Akrabbim Pass, it shall cross Zin, and extend south of Kadesh-barnea to Hazar-addar; thence it shall cross to Azmon,	4 Dann ziehe sich eure Grenze südlich von der Skorpionensteige herum bis Zin hinüber, ihre Ausläufer seien südlich von Kades-Barnea. Dann laufe sie aus nach Chazar-Addar und hinüber nach Azmon.
5 and turning from Azmon to the Wadi of Egypt, shall terminate at the Sea.	5 Von Azmon wende sich die Grenze dem Bach Ägyptens zu und nehme ihr Ende am Meer.
6 "For your western boundary you shall have the Great Sea with its coast; this shall be your western boundary.	6 Die Westgrenze sei für euch das Große Meer. Das soll eure Westgrenze sein!
7 "The following shall be your boundary on the north: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to Mount Hor,	7 Eure Nordgrenze soll folgende sein: Zieht euch eine Linie vom Großen Meer bis zum Berge Hor!
8 and shall continue it from Mount Hor to Labo in the land of Hamath, with the boundary extending through Zedad.	8 Vom Berge Hor zieht eine Linie bis Lebo-Hamat; das Ende der Grenze aber sei Zedad!
9 Thence the boundary shall reach to Ziphron and terminate at Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern boundary.	9 Die Grenze laufe dann weiter nach Siphron und endige in Chazar-Enan. Das soll eure Nordgrenze sein!
10 "For your eastern boundary you shall draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.	10 Als Ostgrenze sollt ihr die Linie von Chazar-Enan nach Schepham ziehen.
11 From Shepham the boundary shall go down to Ar-Baal, east of Ain, and descending further, shall strike the ridge on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth;	11 Von Schepham ziehe sich die Grenze abwärts nach Ribla, östlich von Ajin; dann ziehe sie weiter abwärts und treffe den Bergrücken östlich vom See Kinneret.
12 thence the boundary shall continue along the Jordan and terminate with the Salt Sea. "This is the land that shall be yours, with the boundaries that surround it."	12 Die Grenze ziehe dann den Jordan hinab, ihre Enden seien am Salzmeer. Dies seien eure Landesgrenzen ringsum!"
13 Moses also gave this order to the Israelites: "This is the land, to be apportioned among you by lot, which the LORD has commanded to be given to the nine and one half tribes.	13 Moses gab den Israeliten folgende Anweisung: "Dies ist das Land, das ihr euch durch das Los zuteilen sollt; der Herr hat es den neuneinhalb Stämmen zu geben befohlen.
14 For all the ancestral houses of the tribe of Reuben, and the ancestral houses of the tribe of Gad, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh, have already received their heritage;	14 Denn der Stamm Ruben mit seinen Familien, der Stamm Gad mit seinen Familien und der Halbstamm Manasse haben ihren Erbbesitz schon erhalten.
15 these two and one half tribes have received their heritage on the eastern side of the Jericho stretch of the Jordan, toward the sunrise."	15 Die zweieinhalb Stämme haben ihren Erbanteil jenseits des Jordans, Jericho gegenüber nach Osten, schon bekommen."
16 The LORD said to Moses,	16 Der Herr sprach zu Moses:
17 "These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land among you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun,	17 "Dies sind die Namen der Männer, die euch das Land zuteilen sollen: der Priester Eleasar und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.
18 and one prince from each of the tribes whom you shall designate for this task.	18 Zieht noch aus jedem Stamm einen Stammesfürsten hinzu, das Land zu verteilen!
19 These shall be as follows: from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, son of Jephunneh,	19 Dies sind die Namen der Männer: vom Stamme Juda Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnes,
20 from the tribe of Simeon: Samuel, son of Ammihud;	20 vom Stamme Simeon Schemuel, der Sohn Ammihuds,
21 from the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad, son of Chislon;	21 vom Stamme Benjamin Elidad, der Sohn Kislons,
22 from the tribe of Dan: Bukki, son of Jogli;	22 als Fürst vom Stamme der Daniten Bukki, der Sohn Joglis,
23 from the tribe of Manasseh: Hanniel, son of Ephod; and	23 von den Söhnen Josephs als Fürst des Stammes der Manassiten Channiel, der Sohn Ephods,
24 from the tribe of Ephraim: Kemuel, son of Shiphtan, for the descendants of Joseph;	24 als Fürst des Stammes der Ephraimiten Kemuel, der Sohn Schiphtans,
25 from the tribe of Zebulun: Elizaphan, son of Parnach;	25 als Fürst der Sebuluniten Elizaphan, der Sohn Parnachs,
26 from the tribe of Issachar: Paltiel, son of Azzan;	26 als Fürst der Issachariten Paltiel, der Sohn Assans,
27 from the tribe of Asher: Ahihud, son of Shelomi;	27 als Fürst der Aseriten Achihud, der Sohn Schelomis,
28 from the tribe of Naphtali: Pedahel, son of Ammihud."	28 als Fürst der Naphtaliten Pedahel, der Sohn Ammihuds."
29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to assign the Israelites their heritage in the land of Canaan.	29 Das sind die Männer, denen der Herr die Weisung gab, den Israeliten im Lande Kanaan ihr Erbe zu verteilen.
