1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
2 "Give the Israelites this order: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the territory that shall fall to you as your heritage--the land of Canaan with its boundaries:	2 «Ordina agli Israeliti e di’ loro: “Quando entrerete nella terra di Canaan, questa sarà la terra che vi toccherà in eredità: la terra di Canaan secondo i suoi confini.
3 "Your southern boundary shall be at the desert of Zin along the border of Edom; on the east it shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea,	3 Il vostro confine meridionale comincerà al deserto di Sin, a lato di Edom; così la vostra frontiera meridionale partirà dall'estremità del Mar Morto, a oriente;
4 and turning south of the Akrabbim Pass, it shall cross Zin, and extend south of Kadesh-barnea to Hazar-addar; thence it shall cross to Azmon,	4 questa frontiera volgerà al sud della salita di Akrabbìm, passerà per Sin e si estenderà a mezzogiorno di Kades-Barnea; poi continuerà verso Casar-Addar e passerà per Asmon.
5 and turning from Azmon to the Wadi of Egypt, shall terminate at the Sea.	5 Da Asmon la frontiera girerà fino al torrente d'Egitto e finirà al mare.
6 "For your western boundary you shall have the Great Sea with its coast; this shall be your western boundary.	6 La vostra frontiera a occidente sarà il Mare Grande: quella sarà la vostra frontiera occidentale.
7 "The following shall be your boundary on the north: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to Mount Hor,	7 Questa sarà la vostra frontiera settentrionale: partendo dal Mare Grande traccerete una linea fino al monte Or;
8 and shall continue it from Mount Hor to Labo in the land of Hamath, with the boundary extending through Zedad.	8 dal monte Or la traccerete fino all'ingresso di Camat e l'estremità della frontiera sarà a Sedad;
9 Thence the boundary shall reach to Ziphron and terminate at Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern boundary.	9 la frontiera continuerà fino a Zifron e finirà a Casar-Enàn: questa sarà la vostra frontiera settentrionale.
10 "For your eastern boundary you shall draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.	10 Traccerete la vostra frontiera orientale da Casar-Enan a Sefam;
11 From Shepham the boundary shall go down to Ar-Baal, east of Ain, and descending further, shall strike the ridge on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth;	11 la frontiera scenderà da Sefam verso Ribla, a oriente di Ain; poi la frontiera scenderà e si estenderà lungo il mare di Chinneret, a oriente;
12 thence the boundary shall continue along the Jordan and terminate with the Salt Sea. "This is the land that shall be yours, with the boundaries that surround it."	12 poi la frontiera scenderà lungo il Giordano e finirà al Mar Morto. Questa sarà la vostra terra con le sue frontiere tutt’intorno”».
13 Moses also gave this order to the Israelites: "This is the land, to be apportioned among you by lot, which the LORD has commanded to be given to the nine and one half tribes.	13 Mosè diede quest'ordine agli Israeliti dicendo: «Questa è la terra che vi distribuirete a sorte e che il Signore ha ordinato di dare a nove tribù e mezza;
14 For all the ancestral houses of the tribe of Reuben, and the ancestral houses of the tribe of Gad, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh, have already received their heritage;	14 poiché la tribù dei figli di Ruben, secondo i loro casati paterni, e la tribù dei figli di Gad, secondo i loro casati paterni, e metà della tribù di Manasse hanno ricevuto la loro porzione.
15 these two and one half tribes have received their heritage on the eastern side of the Jericho stretch of the Jordan, toward the sunrise."	15 Queste due tribù e mezza hanno ricevuto la loro porzione oltre il Giordano di Gerico, dal lato orientale».
16 The LORD said to Moses,	16 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
17 "These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land among you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun,	17 «Questi sono i nomi degli uomini che spartiranno la terra fra voi: il sacerdote Eleàzaro e Giosuè, figlio di Nun.
18 and one prince from each of the tribes whom you shall designate for this task.	18 Prenderete anche un principe, uno per ogni tribù, per fare la spartizione della terra.
19 These shall be as follows: from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, son of Jephunneh,	19 Ecco i nomi di questi uomini. Per la tribù di Giuda, Caleb, figlio di Iefunnè.
20 from the tribe of Simeon: Samuel, son of Ammihud;	20 Per la tribù dei figli di Simeone, Samuele, figlio di Ammiùd.
21 from the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad, son of Chislon;	21 Per la tribù di Beniamino, Elidàd, figlio di Chislon.
22 from the tribe of Dan: Bukki, son of Jogli;	22 Per la tribù dei figli di Dan, il principe Bukkì, figlio di Ioglì.
23 from the tribe of Manasseh: Hanniel, son of Ephod; and	23 Per i figli di Giuseppe, per la tribù dei figli di Manasse, il principe Cannièl, figlio di Efod;
24 from the tribe of Ephraim: Kemuel, son of Shiphtan, for the descendants of Joseph;	24 per la tribù dei figli di Èfraim, il principe Kemuèl, figlio di Siftan.
25 from the tribe of Zebulun: Elizaphan, son of Parnach;	25 Per la tribù dei figli di Zàbulon, il principe Elisafàn, figlio di Parnac.
26 from the tribe of Issachar: Paltiel, son of Azzan;	26 Per la tribù dei figli di Ìssacar, il principe Paltièl, figlio di Azzan.
27 from the tribe of Asher: Ahihud, son of Shelomi;	27 Per la tribù dei figli di Aser, il principe Achiùd, figlio di Selomì.
28 from the tribe of Naphtali: Pedahel, son of Ammihud."	28 Per la tribù dei figli di Nèftali, il principe Pedaèl, figlio di Ammiùd».
29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to assign the Israelites their heritage in the land of Canaan.	29 Questi sono coloro ai quali il Signore ordinò di spartire il possesso della terra di Canaan tra gli Israeliti.
