1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
2 "Give the Israelites this order: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the territory that shall fall to you as your heritage--the land of Canaan with its boundaries:	2 Tu darai quest'ordine a' figliuoli d'Israele, e dirai loro: Quando sarete entrati nellaterra di Canaan, e ne avrete tirate a sorte le porzioni da possedere, i confini di essasaranno questi:
3 "Your southern boundary shall be at the desert of Zin along the border of Edom; on the east it shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea,	3 La parte di mezzogiorno comincerà dalla solitudine di Sin, che è presso a Edom: e avrà persuoi limiti all'oriente il mar salato.
4 and turning south of the Akrabbim Pass, it shall cross Zin, and extend south of Kadesh-barnea to Hazar-addar; thence it shall cross to Azmon,	4 E (questi confini) gireranno al mezzodì, per la salita dello Scorpione, e passeranno perSenna, e arriveranno dal mezzodì fino a Cadesbarne: di dove i confini arriveranno fino alvillaggio chiamato Adar, e si stenderanno fino ad Asemona:
5 and turning from Azmon to the Wadi of Egypt, shall terminate at the Sea.	5 E anderanno girando da Asemona fino al torrente di Egitto, e finiranno al lido del margrande.
6 "For your western boundary you shall have the Great Sea with its coast; this shall be your western boundary.	6 La parte occidentale comincerà al mar grande, e finirà allo stesso mare.
7 "The following shall be your boundary on the north: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to Mount Hor,	7 A settentrione principieranno i confini del mar grande, e arriveranno fino al montealtissimo,
8 and shall continue it from Mount Hor to Labo in the land of Hamath, with the boundary extending through Zedad.	8 Di dove andranno verso Emath fino al territorio di Sedada:
9 Thence the boundary shall reach to Ziphron and terminate at Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern boundary.	9 E si stenderanno fino a Zephrona, e al villaggio di Enan: questi saranno i confini dallaparte di settentrione:
10 "For your eastern boundary you shall draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.	10 Indi i confini verso l'oriente si prenderanno dal villaggio di Enan fino a Sephama:
11 From Shepham the boundary shall go down to Ar-Baal, east of Ain, and descending further, shall strike the ridge on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth;	11 E da Sephama scenderanno a Rebla dirimpetto alla fontana di Daphnim: di là si stenderannoall'oriente fino al mare di Cenereth:
12 thence the boundary shall continue along the Jordan and terminate with the Salt Sea. "This is the land that shall be yours, with the boundaries that surround it."	12 E arriveranno sino al Giordano, e finalmente saran chiusi dal mare salato. Questa è la terraco' suoi confini, che la serrano da ogni parte, la quale voi possederete.
13 Moses also gave this order to the Israelites: "This is the land, to be apportioned among you by lot, which the LORD has commanded to be given to the nine and one half tribes.	13 E Mosè diede ordine a' figliuoli d'Israele, e disse: Questa sarà la terra, la quale vi saràdistribuita a sorte, e il Signore ha ordinato ch'ella sia data alle nove, tribù, e mezza.
14 For all the ancestral houses of the tribe of Reuben, and the ancestral houses of the tribe of Gad, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh, have already received their heritage;	14 Imperocché la tribù dei figliuoli di Ruben colle sue famiglie, e la tribù de' figliuoli diGad con tutto il numero di sue famiglie, e anche mezza la tribù di Manasse,
15 these two and one half tribes have received their heritage on the eastern side of the Jericho stretch of the Jordan, toward the sunrise."	15 Vale a dire due tribù e mezza hanno avuta la loro porzione di là dal Giordano dirimpetto aGerico verso l'oriente.
16 The LORD said to Moses,	16 E il Signore disse a Mosè:
17 "These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land among you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun,	17 Questi sono i nomi degli uomini, i quali faranno tra voi lo scompartimento della terra:Eleazaro sacerdote, e Giosuè figliuolo di Nun.
18 and one prince from each of the tribes whom you shall designate for this task.	18 E un principe di ciascuna tribù,
19 These shall be as follows: from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, son of Jephunneh,	19 De' quali st questi i nomi: Della tribù di Giuda, Caleb figliuolo di Jephone.
20 from the tribe of Simeon: Samuel, son of Ammihud;	20 Della tribù di Simeon, Samuel figliuolo di Ammiud.
21 from the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad, son of Chislon;	21 Della tribù di Beniamin, Elidad figliuolo di Chaselon.
22 from the tribe of Dan: Bukki, son of Jogli;	22 Della tribù de' figliuoli di Dan, Bocci figliuolo di Jogli.
23 from the tribe of Manasseh: Hanniel, son of Ephod; and	23 De' figliuoli di Joseph della tribù di Manasse, Hanniel figliuolo di Ephod.
24 from the tribe of Ephraim: Kemuel, son of Shiphtan, for the descendants of Joseph;	24 Della tribù di Ephraim, Camuel figliuolo di Sephthan.
25 from the tribe of Zebulun: Elizaphan, son of Parnach;	25 Della tribù di Zabulon, Elisaphan figliuolo di Pharnach.
26 from the tribe of Issachar: Paltiel, son of Azzan;	26 Della tribù d Issachar, il principe Phaltiel figliuolo di Ozan.
27 from the tribe of Asher: Ahihud, son of Shelomi;	27 Della tribù di Aser, Ahiud figliuolo di Salomi.
28 from the tribe of Naphtali: Pedahel, son of Ammihud."	28 Della tribù di Nephthali, Phedael figliuolo di Ammiud.
29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to assign the Israelites their heritage in the land of Canaan.	29 Questi sono coloro, ai quali il Signore diede ordine di fare la divisione della terra diCanaan tra i figliuoli d'Israele.
