1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
2 "Give the Israelites this order: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the territory that shall fall to you as your heritage--the land of Canaan with its boundaries:	2 “ Praecipe fi liis Israel et dices ad eos: Cum ingressi fueritis terram hanc Chanaan, et in possessionem vobis sorte ceciderit, his finibus terminabitur.
3 "Your southern boundary shall be at the desert of Zin along the border of Edom; on the east it shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea,	3 Pars meridiana incipiet a solitudine Sin, quae est iuxta Edom, et habebit terminos contra orientem mare Salsissimum.
4 and turning south of the Akrabbim Pass, it shall cross Zin, and extend south of Kadesh-barnea to Hazar-addar; thence it shall cross to Azmon,	4 Qui circuibunt australem plagam per ascensum Acrabbim (id est Scorpionum), ita ut transeant in Sin et perveniant ad meridiem Cadesbarne, unde egredientur ad Asaraddar et tendent usque ad Asemona.
5 and turning from Azmon to the Wadi of Egypt, shall terminate at the Sea.	5 Ibitque per gyrum terminus ab Asemona usque ad torrentem Aegypti, et maris Magni litore finietur.
6 "For your western boundary you shall have the Great Sea with its coast; this shall be your western boundary.	6 Plaga autem occidentalis a mari Magno incipiet et ipso fine claudetur.
7 "The following shall be your boundary on the north: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to Mount Hor,	7 Porro ad septentrionalem plagam a mari Magno termini incipient pervenientes usque ad montem Hor,
8 and shall continue it from Mount Hor to Labo in the land of Hamath, with the boundary extending through Zedad.	8 a quo venient in introitum Emath usque ad terminos Sedada.
9 Thence the boundary shall reach to Ziphron and terminate at Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern boundary.	9 Ibuntque confinia usque ad Zephrona et Asarenon. Hi erunt termini in parte aquilonis.
10 "For your eastern boundary you shall draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.	10 Inde metabuntur fines contra orientalem plagam de Asarenon usque Sephama;
11 From Shepham the boundary shall go down to Ar-Baal, east of Ain, and descending further, shall strike the ridge on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth;	11 et de Sephama descendent termini in Rebla ad orientem Ain; inde descendent et pervenient ad latus maris Chenereth in oriente
12 thence the boundary shall continue along the Jordan and terminate with the Salt Sea. "This is the land that shall be yours, with the boundaries that surround it."	12 et tendent usque ad Iordanem, et ad ultimum Salsissimo claudentur mari. Hanc habebitis terram per fines suos in circuitu ”.
13 Moses also gave this order to the Israelites: "This is the land, to be apportioned among you by lot, which the LORD has commanded to be given to the nine and one half tribes.	13 Praecepitque Moyses filiis Israel dicens: “ Haec erit terra, quam possidebitis sorte et quam iussit Dominus dari novem tribubus et dimidiae tribui.
14 For all the ancestral houses of the tribe of Reuben, and the ancestral houses of the tribe of Gad, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh, have already received their heritage;	14 Tribus enim filiorum Ruben per familias suas et tribus filiorum Gad iuxta cognationum numerum media quoque tribus Manasse,
15 these two and one half tribes have received their heritage on the eastern side of the Jericho stretch of the Jordan, toward the sunrise."	15 id est duae semis tribus, acceperunt partem suam trans Iordanem contra Iericho ad orientalem plagam ”.
16 The LORD said to Moses,	16 Et ait Dominus ad Moysen:
17 "These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land among you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun,	17 “ Haec sunt nomina virorum, qui terram vobis divident: Eleazar sacerdos et Iosue filius Nun
18 and one prince from each of the tribes whom you shall designate for this task.	18 et singuli principes de tribubus singulis,
19 These shall be as follows: from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, son of Jephunneh,	19 quorum ista sunt vocabula: de tribu Iudae Chaleb filius Iephonne;
20 from the tribe of Simeon: Samuel, son of Ammihud;	20 de tribu Simeon Samuel filius Ammiud;
21 from the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad, son of Chislon;	21 de tribu Beniamin Elidad filius Chaselon;
22 from the tribe of Dan: Bukki, son of Jogli;	22 de tribu filiorum Dan Bocci filius Iogli.
23 from the tribe of Manasseh: Hanniel, son of Ephod; and	23 Filiorum Ioseph: de tribu Manasse Hanniel filius Ephod,
24 from the tribe of Ephraim: Kemuel, son of Shiphtan, for the descendants of Joseph;	24 de tribu Ephraim Camuel filius Sephtan.
25 from the tribe of Zebulun: Elizaphan, son of Parnach;	25 De tribu Zabulon Elisaphan filius Pharnach;
26 from the tribe of Issachar: Paltiel, son of Azzan;	26 de tribu Issachar dux Phaltiel filius Ozan;
27 from the tribe of Asher: Ahihud, son of Shelomi;	27 de tribu Aser Ahiud filius Salomi;
28 from the tribe of Naphtali: Pedahel, son of Ammihud."	28 de tribu Nephthali Phedael filius Ammiud ”.
29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to assign the Israelites their heritage in the land of Canaan.	29 Hi sunt, quibus praecepit Dominus, ut dividerent filiis Israel terram Chanaan.
