Psalms 141

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 A psalm of David. LORD, I call to you; come quickly to help me; listen to my plea when I call.	1 Salmo de David. Yo te invoco, Señor, ven pronto en mi ayuda; escucha mi voz cuando te llamo;
2 Let my prayer be incense before you; my uplifted hands an evening sacrifice.	2 que mi oración suba hasta ti como el incienso, y mis manos en alto, como la ofrenda de la tarde,
3 Set a guard, LORD, before my mouth, a gatekeeper at my lips.	3 Coloca, Señor, un guardián en mi boca y un centinela a la puerta de mis labios;
4 Do not let my heart incline to evil, or yield to any sin. I will never feast upon the fine food of evildoers.	4 no dejes que mi corazón se incline a la maldad, o a cometer delitos con hombres perversos. ¡No, nunca gustaré de sus manjares!
5 Let the just strike me; that is kindness; let them rebuke me; that is oil for my head. All this I shall not refuse, but will pray despite these trials.	5 Que el justo me golpee como amigo y me corrija, pero que el óleo del malvado no perfume mi cabeza: yo seguiré oponiendo mi oración a sus maldades.
6 When their leaders are cast over the cliff, all will learn that my prayers were heard.	6 Sus príncipes cayeron despeñados, esos que se complacían en oírme decir:
7 As when a farmer plows a field into broken clods, so their bones will be strewn at the mouth of Sheol.	7 «Como una piedra de molino hecha pedazos están esparcidos nuestros huesos ante las fauces del Abismo».
8 My eyes are upon you, O GOD, my Lord; in you I take refuge; do not strip me of life.	8 Pero mis ojos, Señor, fijos en ti: en ti confío, no me dejes indefenso.
9 Guard me from the trap they have set for me, from the snares of evildoers.	9 Protégeme del lazo que me han tendido y de las trampas de los que hacen el mal.
10 Into their own nets let all the wicked fall, while I make good my own escape.	10 ¡Caigan los malvados en sus propias redes, mientras yo paso sin hacerme daño!
